A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Tapas, & Friends. Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'.

What a beautiful little spot... Went for an early dinner with a colleague and stayed for hours (as though time stood still). The ambience when opening the doors was fantastic. Dimly lit with candles on tables. Looking at the bar through the array of bottles was cool. The kitchen, you could see in through a peek, full of energy, but no noise (other than the guests lost in their own tables of conversation). The staff all around were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. And the food, every single dish we ordered which was... Oysters Monopole, Tuna Poke, Crab Gratin, Beef Fat Potatoes, Empanadas, Clam Spaghetti with a NY Strip Steak (a lot for 2 people), but was so damn good. Solid, solid, solid. Very Happy, highly recommend!

Food, drinks and service were truly a first class experience. We were celebrating our engagement; the service made us feel extra special whilst the cooks kindly gave us an extra “Congratulations” dish. It’s an occasion that will live in our memories forever! Sincere thanks to all the staff in Mode Kitchen. Highly recommended for your special occasion!
