Trani’s Dockside, is a new waterside restaurant launched by one of the port town’s best known restaurant families. The restaurant was able to hold a soft grand opening on May 16, the 98th anniversary of the opening of the original Trani’s Majestic Cafe that opened in 1925 in downtown San Pedro.

    The food is generally good with dependable quality. In this case my wife ordered the seafood taquitos which were spicy to the extent that she couldn’t eat them. We didn’t find that the menu adequately reflected the amount of spice.

    They totally restored the old school charm of this place. The view of the harbor is amazing. The beef Wellington - probably the only place serving it on the menu in the LA/OC metro - tender and delicious. The crudité with the marvelous green goddess dipping is the best version since Daniel Humm’s 2012 rendition at the NoMad NYC opening. The table side preparation of cherry jubilee is a show on its own. Thanks to all the staff - front and back of the house!

    Our server Kristina R. was super cool and sweet! Our food and wine delicious and would highly recommend pretty much everything on their menu. We enjoy coming here to grab a bite prior to a show at the Alvas Showroom. This place is comfortable and makes one feel like you're with family and even if we didn't have a show to catch we would come out to San Pedro just to enjoy having a great meal here! Thank you all!
