The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts.     One of the best dining experiences in the Hudson Valley. Food was delicious without being overly previous. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was relaxed and comforting.

    Outstanding service and excellently prepared French classics. The menu is short but packed with good choices. Everything we ordered was well prepared. The service was also outstanding across the board. The restaurant needs a facelift, but it didn't detract from the excellent kitchen and service.

    We had guests from out of town and we wanted a nice place for brunch. The Cornell on the Kingston waterfront was excellent! A buffet of food that was outstanding! Staff was very friendly and prompt, food was delicious! I would highly recommend!
