a fantastic place, beautiful staff and outlook, the three entrees were great but the chicken caesar salad was very dry and the chicken was tasteless and dry, very disappointing

All I can say this is the best meal I have had in a longtime with amazing friendly staff, they will go out of their way to help you. The quality of the food was top class and its great to see the head chef Alvin Sim mingle with the people dining. This was our last night in Tasmania and I have already posted my thoughts to friends and family on social media and visiting The Old Wharf is a MUST do for anyone travelling to the apple aisle.

Our greeter (apologies I did not get his name) was fantastic! As it was our first time he explained where the food is sourced from and how the meat is cooked. Went through the menu and during the meal came over to see how everything was. He was fantastic!

As usual, a lovely experience. Our waiter, Thibault, was charming and the sommelier also very helpful. The duck fat potatoes are incredible. The only improvements would be a couple more vegetarian based options. I had steak which was lovely but I do prefer vegetable based dishes. The side dishes are wonderful, plus the apple tart. The wines by the glass haven’t altered in a year so I think they could offer a couple of new wines by the glass which would be appreciated by the patrons.

Took my mum for lunch on a beautiful sunny day, we had a table inside thankfully as it was really breezy on the beach. The large bifold windows were open and the view out over the beach and river made us feel we were on holiday in Queensland. The staff were friendly and attentive. The brunch menu is extensive with plenty of options to suit your appetite. I had the beef burger which hit the spot nicely, yummo! Mum went for a chicken parmy and wasn’t disappointed. Definitely recommend this place.
