---The Berghoff Restaurant is a Chicago landmark, serving German-style cuisine and culture since 1898. One of the oldest family-run businesses in the nation, now run by the fourth generation, Pete Berghoff. Today's Berghoff menus have evolved to add newer, lighter, and more contemporary dishes, but it's still the same old Berghoff, down to the famous root beer. In December 2018, the Berghoff family opened Adams Street Brewery, aptly named after the street they have called home for over a century, to nod to their brewing roots and commemorate the restaurant's 120th anniversary.

The food and service are always wonderful here. This beautiful restaurant is located across from Millennium Park and close by Symphony Hall. The appetizers change seasonally and are always interesting. For the main course, I had the fusilli pasta with lobster and my husband had the gnocchi dish, and both were excellent. The wine list features, among others, a large selection of Italian wines — we had a delightful sparkling Vermentino. The dessert menu was quite unique and offered at least six different selections. We ordered a superb panna cotta. We’ve been dining at Acanto for many years ago and we will return soon.

The Walnut Room is a Chicago classic. It's much less busy in February -- the deadest month for restaurants -- than it is during the holiday season.

We have been here several times and absolutely love this place. Tonight, must have been an off night for the cooks, my burger was way too salty, if it weren't for the fact that I was so hungry I wouldn't have had more than 1 bite. I ate half and had a stomach ache all night. We asked for au jus for my daughter's chicken, and they never brought it to the table. The soda was off in taste. It really was a bad night for them. The service compared to past visits was not great even though our server was gracious enough to remove my entree and offer us desert on the house. We love this place and understand that everyone has an off day, and tonight was it. We are definitely going back for a redo and hoping for the best.

First time at Roanoke and it did not disappoint! Our server Lexi was very pleasant and helpful, and gave us the right amount of attention. We had the Chicken and Waffles (exceptional), Tavern Breakfast (delicious and plenty!) and Avocado toast (very nice). The Mimosas flight is a must! Lexi suggested the raspberry as an option and she was right on…delicious and dangerous! I definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back!
