This is not my first time coming here and it won’t be the last. I think a manager today overheard my conversation where I was quoting someone else who said la mar (and limon) “sucked” and they came over and asked us how we were doing etc, which seemed really random but maybe that convo was the motive behind the visit Don’t worry I love la mar and the arroz norteño was incredible, it’s literally my favorite dish from any sf Peruvian spot now . We will return :)

A very special place with amazing flavors, service and setting. When we asked about gluten-free friendly items, which were not designated on the wide menu, our server was well-informed and very helpful, as she was with responses to our other questions. We made our menu decisions slowly, with sharing in mind. We had the luxury of being able to have appetizers before we chose entrees, so we could gauge how much food we really needed. We never felt any pressure to order quickly nor to order any beverages.

A San Francisco classic, food, service and ambience are all spectacular.

What a beautiful restaurant, but this was above all else, exquisite cuisine in an understated way. It is rare to leave a meal with crystal clear recollection days later of each and every dish, but that is the truth here, from the Bluefin Tuna to the Radicchio, to the Sea Bream, to the Hen of the Wood Mushroom, to the Potato - oh the potato… and not to forget the Soft Serve with Salted Caramel. A thoughtful wine list, delicious cocktails and a service team who show attention to detail all the way down to the manner in which tables are reset and napkins rolled for the next visitors… congratulations, we wish you all the success for as long as you choose to keep these standards where they are today.

Recently visited and we had a gorgeous Friday Dim Sum lunch on the patio. I always request/ask to sit in Gene's section and as always he provided excellent service. We ordered for the table: chicken feet w/black bean sauce, shrimp dumpling (har gow), sis mai (shrimp and pork dumpling), salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper spareribs, Shanghai Pork Dumplings, Chicken Pot Stickers, Vegetables wrapped w/bean curd skin, Honey Garlic Chicken, Haborview Beef, Beef Rice Noodle Roll, Seafood Garlic Noodle and Beef Chow Fun w/gravy. All food items were delivered hot to the table and were all delicious. This is one of my regular dining spots in San Francisco!
