La Tavola Trattoria
Exposed brick, dark wood floors & rustic colors give La Tavola its authentic trattoria feel, while progressive touches hint at its innovative cuisine. The food is simple yet creative, elegant & certainly delicious - the kind of food you could eat every day or turn into a celebration.
La Tavola also offers one of the city's most unique brunch menus. It is a can't miss!
La Tavola never disappoints. The carbonara was superb and the veal saltimbocca was outstanding ! Love this place !
Second visit here in the last 2 months -new to Atlanta. First of all the food is awesome, but the service stinks. Went last night for the second time, and again the service was bad. Slow drinks to come, had to ask for everything, salt and pepper, silverware..... they weren’t that busy and the hostess tried to put us at a table in the middle for the place- versus a booth which there were plenty open. I asked the hostess to be out in one, which she did but had an attitude about it.
Cocktails took forever to get, we ordered 2 drinks a piece- I watched the bartender talk to people at the bar endlessly versus making the drinks.
My partner ordered a aperol spritz which was awful, my drink was okay.
Not sure I would recommend-meatballs are awesome, as well as pastas. Had the burrata appetizer salad it was fair
Once again we had a fabulous meal at La Tavola. Our server Chris did a super job. We all ordered different entrees and each was delicious. We have never had a bad meal at La Tavola and will continue to frequent the establishment. We highly recommend it to everyone.
Food good as always, but service was awful.
Delicious, authentic Italian food, friendly and helpful staff. Always a pleasure dining here. Highly recommend.
Great food, excellent food and quieter than usual.
Loved the atmosphere, service, and food. will definitely be back!
A great neighborhood restaurant with excellent, food, drink and service.
Service was forgetful just as he forgot about us during the meal. Chef had to bring us silverware on the dish we sent back for being too salty. We come here all the time for the mushroom ragu but food was lacking. Carpaccio was smothered with unnecessary flavors that masked the flavor of the meat. Sadly, this was our favorite place in the Highlands. We will not be returning.
Came here on a date and had the absolute best time! The service is friendly and makes you feel at home. The menu is not too small, not too big. The octopus appetizer was a great recommendation and we shared a couple pasta dishes in the appetizer size portion - an added bonus and a great way to try more food!
Their classic spaghetti was life changing and the mushroom gnocchi was rich and delicious. We finished our meal with coffee and classic cannolis; another incredible recommendation by our waiter.
We love La Tavola! The food is always very good. We have been many times and never experience bad service. The inside dining room is quite small so reservations are required. Note: it can be quite chilly in the winter months if seated by the front door or in the front window 6-topper due to patrons coming and going.
The food was excellent as always. The service was a bit slower than usual but it was still an extremely pleasant dining experience. My party members appreciated being able to contribute easily to a food charity on their bill. We will definitely keep the restaurant as one of our regulars.
Shockingly terrible experience considering this is a fifth group reference. We arrived on time and over 10 minutes passed and no one came by our table. I had to ask the hostess for a server and water. A manager brought water at the 15 minutes mark. Server finally came over and was unwelcoming and not at all interested in making up for the rough start or in us enjoying ourselves.
Caesar salad was fine, beets salad was pretty good. The entrees were nothing special.
Overall, if you want Italian; go to A mano. If you have a 5th group gift card, Ecco has never disappointed.
Great food and great recommendations. Will definitely be back...multiple times.
I was pleasantly surprised at how outstanding all the food was, the service was perfect (knowledgable waitress on all counts; great wine selection for us), and the quiet sitting in a booth. I will return!
The Bolognese and lamb meatballs were excellent. The carbonara was just ok, wouldn’t order it again. The service was lacking. After 10 minutes server never brought wine and never checked on us once food arrived.
What a wonderful find. Our last night (Monday) during our visit to Atlanta was nicely punctuated by our dinner at La Tavola. A nice selection of Italian dishing with a updated touch. The service and food were excellent and the place was comfortably casual. Our OpenTable reservations were needed, as this place is not a secret, and for good reasons. When we find ourselves back in Atlanta, we will find ourselves back at La Tavola.
La Tavola is one of our most favorite places for Italian in Atlanta. We have been many times
and they never disappoint. We love to go early and catch a bar seat, if it's just the two of
us, or will make reservations when we bring guests. The wine selection is excellent and the
cuisine is extraordinarily good. I especially like their fresh made pastas and ragu. If you're
really hungry, get the meat and cheese board as an appetizer or as a dessert, it's very good
and is loaded with different meats and cheeses. Highly recommended. Excellent atmosphere,
some outside dining, very attentive service and always fun. We love La Tavola and you will
Was pleasantly surprised at the how warm the heated patio was... and the food was awesome as always. A steady rock of a restaurant!
consistent, high quality food and service at La Tavola. exactly what i’ve come to expect from Fifth Group restaurants.
Legit location. Great food, great drinks (strong cocktails), overall good experience. Definitely swing by more often, plus $10 pasta on Monday’s... can’t say no to that.
Wonderful night! Great food. Helpful waiter. Highly recommend
Our waiter greeted us! We were fortunate enough to meet the executive chef. The food was excellent! We each had a Caesar salad. My mushroom ragu was unbelievable! I can’t wait to visit Atlanta and La Travola Trattoria again!
The food is incredible! The staff and experience are perfect!
Focaccia -excellent,...salad-good,...pasta dish-ok,...wine-overpriced,.... dessert-miniature
Food was good, but not great. Service was nice. Dining area was on the smaller side. The table in the corner literally at kitchen entrance and server assembly area was the worst. Overall, too many other restaurants around to try rather than eat here again.
Our server Richard was remarkable. Suggested all the right things and pairings.
We had a super time. Hank was great
It is a small restaurant but very cozy.....when we arrived they seated us a small round table that was difficult for my husband, who uses a wheelchair, to get comfortable at but thankfully they were happy to seat us in booth. Our meals (roasted chicken and pasta) were delish and service was attentive without been overbearing.
Great restaurant we always leave to visit when we are in town. Food is fresh and served with style. Wait staff is helpful in picking dishes and the wine is always perfect!
MK was awesome! She gave us some great recommendations. I had friends in town from Chattanooga and they were very impressed. Food, service, and ambience was top notch!
Wish there was a slightly bigger bar (love sitting at bar) but otherwise great.
Always delicious and impressive all the way around.
This really is a wonderful place, staffed with wonderful people.
The layout is a bit tight, and it can be a bit loud when crowded - but that’s part of the charm. The food is so good, you can’t blame people for clamoring in.
The pastas are my favorite, with tonight’s dinner including a pillowy mushroom gnocchi and a perfectly cook wild boar ravioli.
A lot of restaurants use “fresh” pasta these days but screw it up somehow. These guys make their pasta in house, and they cook it to perfection. I frankly have never been to any restaurant - especially in Atlanta - that creates and cooks pasta more perfectly.
I didn’t order it tonight, but the fish of the day was a striped bass. With Atlanta restaurants shunning freshwater fish for years - trout should be a staple in this town - I loved that these guys were bucking the trend.
While I’m not the biggest fan of “restaurant groups,” the charm, service, and food here makes me feel like I’m at a family owned restaurant that’s been serving happy customers for a hundred years.
Entrees were typically great. Not so with the dessert, a modernized version of an old favorite tiramisu. Pretty bad. Avoidable.
This place was cute with good service. The octopus starter was excellent. I enjoyed the squid ink pasta but it could have been better. My husbands risotto was not good at at he was very disappointed. My sons spaghetti marinara was also blah. The drinks were excellent also. The dessert were good. We were just very disappointed with the main dishes.
Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. Great service. And all-around excellent meal
Everything about this place was just okay. Disappointed in the food. Would go back for drinks only.
Our server was a little off the mark, but we still enjoyed our food and drinks and birthday dessert.
