Not our first visit. We like LaMezzaluna. We were seated promptly when we arrived for our reservation. Server was very good, food was delicious. We like a booth but the noise level can be difficult. We don’t like being rushed and we were not. The staff, as well as the owner were in a race to keep things moving. The outdoor seating was two doors down. We appreciated their effort. We have never had a bad meal at this busy Princeton restaurant. The menu is not huge and the options are not run of the mill. Everything seems prepared to order.

Good was delicious!! We made a reservation and had a nice double booth in front. The staff was friendly and attentive, as much as they could be (seemed busy!). It was BYOB so that was really nice and we picked up wine beforehand on Nassau. Would def go back!

This was our first time here and it was a wonderful experience beginning with the friendly staff and delicious meal. Our waiter, Will even explained the best way to eat our dessert ,Affogato. It was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant

We were a party of four. We all enjoyed our appetizers, dinners and desserts. The food is much better value for money than many other restaurants in the area even if it lacks the decor of some of the other places. We were inside so a bit crowded (narrow) with staff passing by us all the time but quite manageable.

I would highly recommend Mezzaluna for its great food, attentive, friendly service, and reasonable pricing. We had a window seat on Witherspoon Street and the quiet ambience for a long conversation with an old friend.

We walked out. Waited at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes, then got seated and left there for 10 minutes. Place was empty but for a party of 18. No staff apparently. When we did get menus, and offered a drink, we were told it was "mostly" BYOB, which I checked to see before we went on the website and it didn't say anything about it, because they actually do sell some wine, but not labeled. Just "Cabernet from Napa" with a huge paragraph on what a cabernet is. Menu was new, we were told, so limited, but they didn't have this and that and the other. Tables were metal and cold. Just not a good fit for us. I know the food gets rave reviews, but we just didn't feel it was for us. So we left. No one even asked us why.

There seemed to be only one waiter, and while he was pleasant I had to repeatedly wave to get any service --- taking our orders, bringing the dessert menu, collecting our dessert orders (although it was too late by the time he was back), getting the cheque; collecting the cheque. The food took a long time to come out, and was bland and uninteresting. There's a good variety of vegetarian options on the menu, which was why we went, but the meat entrees were blah too.

La Mezzaluna is a quant location that will not wow you with overpriced decor and subpar food. The staff was beyond superb and it starts with the host. He was social and welcoming to the point you felt you were at a family dinner. Once seated the team is attentive to your needs and made some excellent recommendations. The food left is in a coma for the next several hours, and we tell everyone that they need to get there!
