Awesome service and great food in a very romantic setting
The flowers, The atmosphere, The food. All gorgeous 👌
Waiter was indifferent, and not attentive, went downhill from there. I guess all the French wait staff has retired as well. Not the same as when we first went to this restaurant over 25 years ago.
Sat next to a table of French visitors. That's how good this French restaurant is.
Another stellar pre-theater meal at this NYC classic. We had 5:45 reservations & were out the door at 7:30 in time to walk to our show which had an 8:00 curtain. Do not miss the dessert soufflé (we like the chocolate the best). The ambiance, service & food all outstanding. One of my top favorites in NYC. Looking forward to my next visit.
This is an exceptional restaurant, maintaining the traditions of elegant surroundings, superb service and, of course, wonderful food. The entire staff is not to be duplicated. One can only wish that this continues for the foreseeable future.
Delicious food and impeccable service. So happy that that still exists in this world!
Felt like a special occasion without being too stuffy. The food was rich and delicious.
For the service and food quality it really isn't worth it, a nice place and the waiters do their best to carry the experience but the food does not match up and although the flowers are beautiful they dont really stop the feeling that it's an old office building that's been repurposed
The head waiter or captain in our area spoiled an enjoyable experience. He was brusque, impatient, and unhelpful. He acted as though he was barely tolerating our presence at one of his tables, a privilege for which we wound up paying $400 for two people. The food was very good: my duck was among the best I have ever eaten. The decor and noise lever were what one would expect in a restaurant in this category. Once we had ordered, the service was prompt.
One of the loveliest dining experiences ever.
No wonder Don Draper went often.
The entrées were a massive disappointment.
Especially the Chilean Sea Bass over what appeared to be ‘ramen’. The foie d’oie on top was delicious.
The kir and bread were A+. The oeuf à la neige was a B.
La Grenouille never disappoints. The food and service is always spectacular. So glad that this Grand Dame has made it through the years. I can’t say enough about the staff. Pro’s in every way. They make you feel welcomed and bend over backwards to accommodate any request. The food is classic French, prepared to perfection. LOVE!!!
Best of its kind in NYC. The waiters are all seasoned professionals. Food is excellent, ambiance is superb.
a class unto itself over the years has continued to maintain a unique and personable ambience and level of service
For the high prices La Grenouille practices, the food would have to be outstanding. And it was untill the dessert comes. Mu wife ate chocolate sufflè. Very good. But my grand marnier sufflè was only good, nothing more than this. It tasted well, but I was expecting that it would taste fantastic, great. It does not.
Classic French fare celebrated in a calm environment that invites the diner to savor every bite. The service is seamless, And never intrusive, despite there being a legion at the ready. Do indulge in the tasting menu with wine pairings which is perfectly curated so that each offering elevates the course it accompanies. If it’s a romantic dinner ask for a table upstairs.
I love this restaurant! The only thing that would make it better would be a friendlier waiter. Ours seemed to be just going through the motions, which doesn't fit the ambiance of this wonderful restaurant.
Food, service, ambiance outstanding. One of the finest dining experiences. They only offer a la carte for lunch which is new as a fixed price lunch was previously available. This does significantly increase the overall cost
Everything was exceptional.
I just felt the wine was priced a little too aggressively.
But I’m a big fan and will be back.
I have been at La Grenouille three times now and always it exceeds expectations. It is a wondrous restaurant!
Beautiful restaurant with fabulous service. They knew it was my birthday and they gave us a dessert plus champagne. We will return!
Fantastic food and fun atmosphere at this famous French hotspot, great way to celebrate during our tenth wedding anniversary trip to NYC.
It was one of the finest meals I have ever had in my life. The decor and staff were top notch.
Everything was wonderful from start to finish.
Great setting. Food was tasty but portions were small. Wines were marked up 4-4:1 which seemed excessive. Glad I went but not worth going back
The food and service was wonderful, but it is very expensive even by NYC standards.
Birthday. As usual the cheese soufflé was magnificent and one of the main reasons I go back there. The service impeccable and attentive. The ambience is fabulous and the flowers always help build the romantic atmosphere. Everything great but I found the beef bourgoignon a bit dry and overly fatty. Should have gone with what I know is good.
Great lunch with my daughter and son in law! Do not forget the blazer!
Last of the greats in New York. Delightful lunch which did not disappoint.
Amazing! Amazing experience.
We continue to be pleased at how much we enjoy Le Grenouille.
It is every bit as outstanding as touted. Food and service are superb!
Its a magical place, and has been ever since I started dining there many years ago. It just keeps getting better. The perfect place to celebrate any wonderful experience.
The best French restaurant in America. A shame they no longer require men wear ties.
Still the most beautiful restaurant in New York City.
Always a favorite!
