This is our go-to spot in Media. It is consistently great food and friendly, reliable service. Love the new huge open windows which connect the restaurant to the outside!
My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. The staff was amazing, making sure all questions were answered and explained everything. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I enjoyed “dining under the stars”at this restaurant. I enjoyed French cooking but surprisingly the prices were quite reasonable as well as tasteful. We’ll return.
Decent little spot.
used the outdoor seating and it was nice except for passing motorcycles and smokers. service was very nice pace and the food was very good (sea bass special and duck). nice evening . would return
I have reviewed La Belle Epoque in the past on Trip Advisor. My opinion has not changed. This restaurant is a Media, PA gem. Excellent cuisine, professional service, and a prime location all combine to make dining at LBE a delightful experience.
Party of two for brunch - shared all plates. Excellent escargots de bourgogne but had to wait about 15 minutes for the warm bread to arrive from the kitchen to go with it), they were out of the salade de betteraves but we thoroughly enjoyed the salade cèsar (romaine, parmesan, delicate flavor), plateau de fromages (perfect! great cheese selection, bit of honey, some walnuts and dried cranberries. Really nice!), and the La Provençale crepe. Unfortunately, the crepe never arrived and when we asked about it, it was clear it was not put in. We decided to skip it as we had already waited quite a while for it.
We will definitely come back for another meal as this was our first visit. The food we got was quite good - I think service needs a bit of work but we'd love to try other items from the menu (the crepe!) and the staff obviously care about their customers.
Always reliable French comfort food, small but well-curated wine list. Friendly service working twice as hard like nearly all restaurants today.
Love this restaurant!!
Never a bad meal here. Drinks are also fantastic. Highly recommend.
As always, attentive service and excellent, delicious food.
It was our anniversary and we decided to go her. The food was spectacular it was very romantic. The waitress was very sweet and even wrote Happy Anniversary on our receipt. I will definitely recommend.
This has been my favorite restaurant in media for some time. However, tonight I found the Caesar salad with chicken very disappointing. Probably the worst I’ve ever had. Using iceberg lettuce was a disappointment. Also, the chicken was inferior and did not seem fresh. Definitely not worth the $15 I was charged. Also, my glass of wine was skimpy. Hoping this was just an off night.
Waiter Wes is honestly a big reason we go to La Belle. Makes it a wonderful experience each time. Thanks Wes!
The filet is always amazing too😊
I have been here numerous times. Never disappointed. Excellent wine selections. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Would not hesitate to go again!
Neighborhood Gem. Great service from Wes and all staff.
We were regulars long ago before the kids came, one is picky but she enjoyed her "fancy nancy wake-up wrap" aka a traditionel crêpe without the meat. Good to see that the quality level hs stayed the same year after year.
Efficient courteous waitress, quiet and safe, delish carrot soup, BIG piece of yummy quiche, didn’t feel rushed. Recommended!
What a great French restaurant! We totally enjoyed our meal,
and our waitress, Sarah was super friendly, knowledgeable and
We had a wonderful cold peach soup, followed by a delicious surf-and-turf combo of rack of lamb and seared shrimp. All delivered by an attentive an knowledgeable waiter, Wes.
My favorite restaurant in Media. I've had the steak au pouvre and the scallops dishes. WONDERFUL.
Enjoyed a fantastic meal for my Mother-in-law's bday . Our server was excellent and food was as usual delicious. This is our go to restaurant in Media for a consistent service and excellent food. What's even more impressive this was during Dining under the Stars when Media is always crowded and busy with extra outdoor dining.
The food at Le Belle Epoch is always prepared and presented beautifully. I had salmon over risotto. The salmon was crispy outside, tender and flakey inside. The risotto was flavorful and just al dente. Chocolate mousse was excellent.
Dining under the stars is a special summer treat as the day cools off.
Delicious brunch! My husband and I will sure return as the coffee is outstanding to begin with, and the eggs benedict and mushroom omelet were fantastic. I highly recommend La belle epoque for brunch!
The entrees were superb! Really special!
Wes is the best! We had a great time. Wonderful dining experience as always.
Great food, good service and an nice selection of wines.
Always a great meal here. We dined outside during Dining Under the Stars, had a great meal.
Nice wine selection and excellent dinner selection for lighter fare dinner.
Love thus place, never fails in absolutely delicious, well prepared, fresh dishes. The crepes are exactly like in France and omelets are not greasy, fresh, delicious. Service is always exceptional.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner on the sidewalk patio. Food is good, service attentive.
Wonderful experience. Noise level was totally okay, given they made it possible for us to reserve outside on their little patio. You cannot do anything about a stupid male biker, can you?
I came with a girl friend. My husband and I usually dine out in the city (Philly), but I told him we absolutely need to go there next time, because I know that he will love their creative veggie and salad arrangements.
Everyone will find something on their very diverse menu, and then the crêpes!
The filet mignon au poirve was delicious. A very nice cut of beef with a memorable pepper cognac sauce.
Everyone were courteous attentive to our enjoyment
Great food especially trout, hangar steak, and dessert crepe. Kitchen a little slow because they are understaffed. Great French wines. We sat outside on a very nice patio. Friendly service
Wonderful pleasant service
I loved the food and drinks! The deserts were fantastic too but nothing beats the experience and the expert service! The ambiance of the restaurant topped the night! I’d definitely recommend if you want to enjoy a nice night out with friends! Top notch and classy! I’ll be visiting again! It was a perfect night!
La Belle Epoque is one of our favorites restaurants, a gem that we return to again and again. The food and service are fantastic, and I love the atmosphere.
For any occasion.
The food was delicious! Some of the best scallops we’ve ever had and even the green beans blew me away. The staff was OK and a little warm in the humidity of summer (had fans going but not sure about the A/C status). Definitely going back because the dishes were all very good.
