    I (Jim Upton) reserved a group of 7 for Friday Aug 13 at 4:30 Multiple mistakes with the orders and the waitress could have been better. I upgraded the Surf & Turf meat to be medium rare Wagu. The meat arrived way overcooked, (well done if not charred), it was hard to the touch and NOT a wagu cut - it was roughly the dimensions of an iPhone. Kona had to get another piece and start over. My brother in-law ordered a medium rare filet, it was way overcooked also and had to get another one. I asked our waitress to recommend an upgrade on the the tequila and she recommended the two cheapest brand I can think of. She had other missteps and tried to make it all sound funny and cool that our orders were so poorly managed I have always liked Kona; but not anymore and will not recommend it. .

    It was a birthday dinner. It was 12 of us. Right when we got there we made it clear it was going to be separate checks. Waiter was perfectly fine with it. But when we asked for the bill he said he couldn’t split it. We spoke to two different managers and they did not solve anything. Never going back!!!

    The prices increased to keep up with the higher cost of doing business, but I am not sure why food portions are smaller. I will not go back to Kona Grill.

    Meh… plenty of other great dining options in Cherry Creek. Service was a disaster and while several of the items we ordered were fine and even good, they couldn’t get a filet done to medium… first it came out well done, they tried again and it came back medium rare. Disappointing given they touted themselves as being “known for their steaks and sushi”.

    Way over priced. A $24 Pad Thai and $21 Rainbow Roll is a joke. I feel bad for people who think this nice dining. I won’t be making that mistake again.

    Went to have a birthday meal. Made a reservation for 8 and they were not prepared for us at 4:30pm. Once we were sat, our server was aloof for the duration of our stay. Very disappointed as this is the only Kona Grill in Colorado. We’ve had great experiences at Kona Grill in other states which is why we chose to eat here. Unfortunately we will not give it a second try.

    We waited an extraordinary amount of time for our food to be delivered. Very disappointing because we were looking forward to this restaurant. Their kitchen is way understaffed but lots of other people helping who are not cooks. I could not taste the macadamia in the macadamia nut chicken. The Korean BBQ short ribs, pad tai, and tropical drinks were good. But way overpriced for what they delivered.

    The food was subpar, especially for the price. The server was not knowledgeable. There was a DJ playing music which felt wild and weird for a basic dinner. I will not be returning again.

    Music was so loud we ate outside They subbed a micro brew for a Coors Light because they were out and then charged me for the micro brew. Went for the chile glazed salmon which is my favorite. It no longer comes with fried rice and brussels sprouts and is not grilled. Very poor dish, and they raised the price to $30.

    Brunch with a live DJ, what more can you ask for. Their mimosa selection is awesome! Our spider roll and the miso sea bass w/ bokchoy were amazing and perfectly prepared.

    Made a reservation for four. Sat us right next to the mall entrance. That didn’t help the ambiance. Took 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. Extremely slow service. Server was nice. Food arrived after at least 45 additional minutes. Food was good. Had a mix of sushi, pasta, and salmon. Turmeric rice was flavorful, but had dried out/hard pieces. Ordered cheesecake and carrot cake. Both were 10 out of 10. Very loud with chatter and TVs blaring. Server next to us spilled drinks on a group’s table. Didn’t really clean anything up off the floor. Left orange slices and ice. Would recommend coming here on a weekday. Sit outside or close to outside.

    Overpriced for quality of food. Ordered 2 sushi rolls and they were basically inedible. Avocado egg rolls very good be so incredibly overpriced. My “double pour” drink that paid Extra for was truly a single pour so i can’t imagine what the single pour tastes like. Overall extremely disappointed in meal

    One of us had the rib-eye and they brought it on a slab of wood and said be careful not to let the juice run onto you - if you have to warn diners about spillage due to your bad choice of plating management should think again. Mashed potatoes were bland and asked for salt and pepper which they brought in ramekins so had to use your fingers - again another unfriendly choice for your customers - do better. The other dish we had was the salmon and it was pretty good. Our waiter did a good job and we paid using the table top game pad which was convenient but something I’d expect to find in a burger joint - I guess if you have kids it’s a built in baby sitter.

    While the restaurant is bustling, there is no reason to have the music so loud. It was very difficult to have a conversation among 4 people.

    We loved the macadamia nut chicken! The sushi was good but the one with the soft shell crab had a strange aftertaste. The service was great and we will certainly come back again because we loved the round table and the convo with good food!

    Food pricing is high for what you get. We also were seated for 20 minutes before getting our drink order taken or even getting water (it wasn’t very busy at all and there was plenty of wait staff floating around, and we were a small party). When we finally were able to get our order taken, it took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our food came out first.

    Prime Rib was fatty. Came for Salmon and they ran out by 5:30 on Sunday. Had Sea Bass which was okay but fried rice was no longer part of the entree.

    The macadamia chicken was amazing, but the service really need some help. She made me feel cheap when I asked her if there was a happy hour on Sunday. When she delivered the food and sharing plates, she should on the far side of the table and passed us the food and plates. She did say be careful the plate is hot as she handed it to us. We asked for a small plate to share and the same thing.... she could have come to the other side of the table and placed the food and plates in front of us. Our waters were empty about half way through. She only asked if we wanted more after she brought the check. Maybe this is her first job???? She definitely needs some coaching!

    Was wonderful! Service was prompt and chef apologized for being short staffed and bought us an appetizer. I was happy to be enjoying my time and didn’t feel rushed. I will def be back! Food was OMG! Portions are huge I had to take some to go.
