King's Fish House - Long Beach
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about- and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!
on Crispy Rice Pan sauted sticky rice, topped with spicy tuna and jalapeo rings
Everything was absolutely perfect!!!
We ordered sushi and the tuna was brown and horrible, also ordered the Chilean sea bass- smelled and tasted fishy. Sent it back and manager came over to say that they would take it off the bill. Here is why it’s 1 Star- manager told our table that the chef took a bite of my sea bass and said it was fine!! What, are you kidding me, with Covid-19 going on and even if it wasn’t you don’t eat off returned food. I’ll be reporting this to their corporate and the health department.
The meal was as good as ever, perfect. Didn't like sitting next to the street but very happy King's is open again.
Made reservations for my birthday. Stayed a couple hours eating and drinking. When I came back from the restroom my guests informed me we had to leave bc we had overstayed the time limit. I had just ordered my drink and my guests were going to order more food. Manager stated we could stay until I finished my drink. My guests had an issue with how we were informed. We were not made aware of this until later and the waitress knew I still wanted more drinks bc I told her. I understand the need for seats but we started our 2nd bill of close to $80 and we were still going. We weren't just lounging. Our first bill was $160 but we cashed out with the first waitress so we could tip her. I had planned on ordering the lobster tails since I was craving. I made that known to the manager but he only allowed us to finish the drinks on the table. We left and went to the Parker Lighthouse and stayed eating and drinking without being timed.
We've loved dining at Kings Fish House for over 20 years. So we were eager to experience it in its new iteration: "safe" outdoor seating.
We were more than happy with our experience. The food and service were, as expected, excellent. Fresh oysters, shrimp, and scallops were artfully seasoned and perfectly prepared.
Equally excellent was the outdoor dining experience and the focus on safety for the customers as well as the staff. The seating was thoughtfully arranged, with adequate spacing between tables. Staff were equipped with masks and shields. It worked. We're grateful.
The only (minor) downside was the traffic noise. I wish the entire block (or two) of Pine St. could be closed to traffic, so its restaurants would have more outdoor dining space and the traffic noise avoided.
I love the new set sup and social distancing. The outside approach works very well. Service was great food was delicious. I’ll be back.
Awesome but food was very slow to come out
Service was verrrryyyyy slow. Maybe they’re still adjusting to covid rules. But the food was great as always.
We had a fabulous time. Our server Steve G was awesome!! He mafe our day!
Just want to have a shout out to the team at Kings. They were all super polite and service oriented. The food was great and their suggestion on how to prepare the fish was superb.
Street noise was disappointing
The seafood is consistently delicious and well prepared - never over-cooked. And the service is consistently excellent.
It was a great experience, the location was awesome, the staff was great, and we would definitely come back!
Good menu - lots to choose from... Had a great time. Nice location.
This was our first time here and the service, food and ambience were top notch. Would recommend if you’re looking for a special evening out.
Delicious Sanddabs!!! Great drinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were here to celebrate a bday. It was fun despite not having any bday recognition.
Another great meal here. Brought friends to celebrate their birthdays, and we were treated very well. Each of them received a complimentary dessert. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. Kings never disappoints. Best Mac and cheese and always fresh, wonderful seafood!
Nice ambiance and great cocktails!
Excellent service, but the food was disappointing.
In town for a conference. They seated 10 people so we appreciate the accommodation. Menu looked great but food was mediocre, some cold when served. Am we had to wait a long time for dinner and ask for bread- we never were offered but all the tables around us got it...?
Great location, great ambiance and great food as usual.
best restaurant in Long Beach. Loved the food and service.
Very busy long waits for our drinks, appetizers and meal. Slow service. However food was very good. Oysters on the half shell amazing!!
Took my husband here for his birthday. We decided on the Captains Platter and the Spanish Octopus. The Spanish Octopus was extremely flavorful and delicious, perfectly seasoned. The Platter was delicious, we just had a hard time with the crab but that’s only because we don’t really eat crab often and we weren’t very good at cracking the shell.
King’s Fish House was great! We did their Valentines Day menu and it was so much food. We enjoyed our meal!
This used to be a nice, well appointed restaurant where one could enjoy good seafood. Now it's like a rock concert of noise, poor service, and over priced entrees.
This is a nice restaurant but can get very loud. The food was mostly food but I was underwhelmed by them steamed crab. The service was good, and their butter cake was amazing. Worth the trip.
It was a great experience, food was good, ambience was great, would come back again.
Love King's Fish House. The oysters are very good, the swordfish is always delicious, the warm sourdough bread is so yummy. The ambience isn't the best as it is just a large room with booths and tables and nothing special about the decor. Because it is an open room, the sound level can be high but not too high that conversation is difficult. It is one of our go to places for a really nice meal.
The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I recommend this place for a beautiful date night, especially if you love fish dishes!
Wonderful experience. This was our valentine night dinner. Wonderful service, great fresh fish. Mussels were outstanding. Our whole dinner was wonderful. Loved this place and repeat for sure.
Everything was delicious!
The waitress was somewhat non existent. Drinks took a long time coming and the oysters. Not sure if they were understaffed
First time here and will definitely be back, personnel is extremely kind and helpful.
Decided to visit King's Fish House for the first time after a family member recommended the place. We went as a party of 6 to celebrate my brother's new job and had a great time. Our server, Brock, was fantastic from beginning to end. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious. The lobster tails were so delicious, I'll be back for sure. Overall, we had a great time. Additionally, being able to make our reservations and select a great place with ease through Open Table help made our celebration all the better!!!
The service and the drinks were good. The food was not. We had sea bass and sword fish. They both lacked season, and the price doesn’t match the quality.
The Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail were delicious! We also enjoyed the Butter Cake. The services was great! The ambiance was nice, elegant, modern décor.
The only draw back was the front door was open and our table was right next to it, it was cold. We kept our jackets on throughout our whole dinner.
I would definitely go back for a special occasion.
Food was amazing! Service ok
