Everything was wonderful about this restaurant! Food, prices, ambiance, service, drinks. Couldn’t have asked for anything else
We make the trip to Geneva from Rochester, once or twice a year for Kindred Fare. The food is excellent as well as the service. Some of my favorite dishes are the poutine and the steak that I believe is basted in some sort of mapley butter. The staff when my parents asked for custom vegetarian meals in the past. The wine and liquor list is extensive. My only suggestion would be to open another location in Rochester. You’re team could easily compete with Nosh and Roux, which for those not familiar are two other similarly priced restaurants in Rochester about 45-50 minutes away.
This is a beautiful restaurant, the service was outstanding, and everyone was very nice. Our food was amazing and arrived quickly. We were extremely please with our complete service and will absolutely return.
Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Well worth the drive from Rochester.
Gary, our server was attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. The pork belly bowl and duck were beyond amazing.
Our server was so knowledgeable! Fast service and food was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere, fantastic service.. food was delish- tad pricey.
Fabulous, as always!
Boy, for a Monday night in the winter you can't do any better than this! Wonderful food and drink offerings - the best the region has to offer. Excellent service too. Had the prix fixe special and it was a very good deal - octopus, salmon and the peanut butter canoli - all wonderful. And the regional wine / beer / spirits offerings really make it special. Our only suggestion would be some sound-absorbing carpets on the flooring -- or even on the walls -- would cut down on the too-energetic din.
Good food. Too expensive.
Wonderful experience all around!
Dinner was okay, coffee was lukewarm and desert wasn’t what was expected.
We were excited to try the restaurant based on the menu. However the waiter never delivered our drinks on a slow night and we eventually had to ask after our appetizer was brought. The salads were overdressed and almost indelible. Disappointed and we will not return
Great food, cordial and professional service, fun atmosphere. Overall wonderful experience.
We have dined at Kindred Fare several times and have never been disappointed. We brought friends this time as we thought they would enjoy it (they did) and we knew the low noise level would allow for easy conversation at the table. The food was excellent; I enjoyed the Rabbit Pot Pie and others enjoyed the Duck Breast and the burger. Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back again soon.
Had a great time! Food was delicious and service was very good.. The music was good too.. Thanks for a great brunch.. We will be back.
Loved the brunch. The whole experience was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend!
We made a reservation on Valentine's day, and upon arrival, waited about 15 minutes to be seated. It was disappointing, but the hostess was very kind and accommodating and brought us a complimentary glass of sparkling when we were seated. The server was outstanding--very energetic, fun, and knowledgeable. We were excited to come here and have been meaning to for years. Places that TRULY commit to 'farm to table' are hard to come by, and this is a place that clearly values sourcing local and expressing the region.
The menu design and execution were disappointing, however. I had a panko crusted pork entree that was pretty salty, tough, and dense, without much on the plate to balance it out, and the potatoes and peppers with it just seemed sort of plopped on there in a sort of gravy that just didn't taste very good. The portion size was generous, however. My partner got an 8oz. steak with fries and aoili and the fries were great, but the steak was also sort of tough, and came with a ramekin of sauce that looked and tasted a lot like Heinz 57.
The highlight of the meal was probably the cheese plate we started with. It came with some really nice and fun pickled vegetables, mustard, breads, and surprisingly delicious gluten free crackers.
Outstanding food and service as always. I’ve recommended many times to clients and friends alike and they all agree. We dine out often and make the 1 hr drive without blinking an eye. Staff is wine savvy and eager to learn and share experiences. Highly recommended!!!
Went for Valentine’s Day. What a wonderful experience. Great food. Great service. Very nice
Great service and delicious food! We enjoyed our celebration
Had an excellent brunch experience. Our party of 4 was seated promptly, served our cocktails, and taken care of by an attentive server throughout. Food arrived nice and hot, deemed excellent by all eaters.
I love this restaurant, the food is top notch, experienced and interesting wait staff, decor is lovely. Highly recommend!
Our second visit. Excellent again. We’ll be back.
Amazing food! We had the pan seared scallops special, and the steak. Roasted butternut squash soup was also really good. Cheese platter was a great variety! We will be back!
Our server Gary was a delight and the food was melt in your mouth delicious
We went here for the second time with some family who had not ever eaten here. It was just as good as the first. The menu is short, but everything is delicious and they have something for everyone. My duck breast was absolutely delicious and I even tried some of the other plates on our table as well such as the beet salad, the crabcake, seared scallops, beef carpaccio, and the homemade ragu pasta. Everything was incredible. The drink menu is also quite extensive. I would recommend the cocktails to anyone and if you like wine or liquor, they have everything you could want. The interesting thing about this place is that it fits somewhere in between fancy and casual. There were some college students nearby us who came here for a better dinner than they could get on campus and then there were some ladies who came together for a nice dinner out. It seems you can come here for any occasion. Overall, highly recommend!
The food was excellent. The calamari was nicely cooked and the bread that we ordered was wonderful. I liked that many menu choices could be made gluten-free. However, we wouldn’t mind seeing some pasta choices. The wine list was long, but I thought it was a bit over-priced. The service was very good; we had an affable and well-informed waitress. An enjoyable experience.
everything from cocktails to entrees to dessert were very good! We were visiting from out of town and this was a nice surprise!
Garm to table - Very fair prices great, cocktails & interesting wines!!!
They have date night & no corking fee on Monday's great choice book a table 😉🙋♂️
Always top notch service, food and drinks. Never disappointed.
We had a very good meal at Kindred Fare and great cocktails.
Great meal and service in an enjoyable atmosphere - may try brunch soon!
Good food, good suggestions from our server, good location for my husband's and my delayed Christmas celebration with my brother and SIL!
This was an amazing dinner in a great atmosphere. All the plates were delicious but the best fries I ever had.
Third time I've been here. Food is always fantastic. We had kale salad, roasted beet salad, veggie burger and regular burger along with cheese plate. Our service was not what we've experienced nor would expect at a place like this. The waitress was attentive until we placed our order. She did not circle back to table to see if we needed additional drinks, etc. We watched her talk at cooking counter with other staff for well over 10 minutes. At one point she came around and checked on a table but walked past ours. We would've at least appreciated a check in to see if we needed anything. This won't stop us from going back but reminds us the importance of customer service.
Always get an amazing meal at Kindred Fare. Food is beautifully prepared and wait staff is very friendly!
We've been there a few times. The food can be great or not so great. NYE dinner was not good. They ran out of food early and what was served was not very good. It was a disappointment on a special night. I do recommend that everyone tries the restaurant though. We've had enough good meals there to not yet write it off.
As usual, we had a stellar dinner at Kindred Fare. Our server, Anastasia, was wonderful and charming. We were welcomed as returning guests and had incredible service. As usual, the food was impeccable and the dinner menu enjoyable and exciting. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
