The Carvery was really nice and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately that was the only part that I wouldn’t fault. There was no one on meet and greet, the server went awol and we had main course plates on our table till we finished. Had to go and ask for the bill. It’s a nice place but the staff need sorting out and need to have a passion for customer service. We will go again but not for a special occasion. More

Lovely food and friendly helpful staff. The liver pate and scotch egg starter were a bit bland but the roast dinner more than made up for it. More

Fantastic food, well cooked, fabulous flavours, high quality ingredients. Very attentive staff, we were a table of 8 celebrating a special birthday, luckily we were given a private area/room so I hope we didn't disturb too many other diners! More

Absolutely love this place! Fell in love with it the minute we set foot on the grounds - from the cute secluded location to the amazing locally sourced food - this place is a must visit! The staff are super friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you. The atmosphere is fantastic - not too loud but not awkwardly silent, homely and not too formal but not your average run of the mill pub. Highly recommend a visit here, especially in the summer! More

Yet another lovely meal in one of the most friendly and helpful venues in Maidstone. Food is always freshly prepared and if you have an issue with a certain ingredient, it is never a problem. For example my Mum can’t have olive oil so they happily prepared a plain salad and supplied a vinegrette in a small bowl for her to add as desired. Food is well cooked and extremely tasty and you are free to enjoy the meal - you never feel hassled to rush your food. Will certainly be back! More

Meal and service excellent. Very loud music playing when we arrived and it was difficult to hold a conversation, after a while we asked if the music could be turned down and this was done - perfect! More

The Bulls HeadThe Bulls Head
Bistro | Orpington, Orpington

Over 400 years of hospitality

A historic pub sitting on a beautiful green in the sleepy village of Pratts Bottom. The Bulls Head has stood on its current site for roughly 400 years, so was perfectly placed to take advantage of passing trade.

The stagecoaches were a unique selling point but also had negative consequences, as the village soon became the haunt of smugglers and highwaymen. It is even rumoured amongst locals that the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin frequented the "Bull’s Head Inn" until he was caught horse stealing in 1739 and hanged for his crime.

Now the highwaymen are gone you can expect a warm, friendly welcome with great beers, wines, spirits & traditional pub food.More

The Valiant Sailor is a cosy country pub sat at the top of the white cliffs in the beautiful village of Capel-le-Ferne. We serve home cooked food using locally sourced meat and vegetables and a delicious roast on a Sunday. We are dog and family friendly with a large car park and beer garden with children's playground.

We are on The North Downs Way and The England Coast Path and are ideally located for ramblers and dog walkers and visitors to The Warren beach down the cliff path below the pub or The Battle of Britain Memorial next door.

We are 4 miles from EuroTunnel and 6 miles from the Port of Dover and welcome overnight motor home stopovers. More
