Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill Folkestone
I booked for Sunday lunch at 1pm and asked for a window table. When we arrived, we were told that there was no booking for us. When I protested, they found my booking under "Afternoon tea". This was not a good start but things got better. The staff laid up a table by the window and looked after us well. The carvery was good - slightly tough meat but good selection of vegetables. Drinks were very reasonable and the total bill was less than expected. The hotel has lovely old world charm and in a perfect position for a walk after lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Second time at Annapurna and this place is just the best. Food to die for, the flavours and quality of all the dishes are remarkable. You may have to wait a bit for service, they are busy for a reason, when you do get served all the staff are delightful, charming and engaged. Your taste buds come alive and like us you will hope that you will soon be back. Just wish it was nearer as 50 miles each way is a bit of a trek...always worth it tho. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Upon arrival we were greeted at reception and shown through to the restaurant. We were then shown to our prepared table and offered tea or coffee . Our cream tea then arrived within a few minutes which consisted of a mixture of small sandwiches, 2 fruit and 2 Devon scones with cream and strawberry jam and a selection of cakes. We were also supplied with more tea. Overall efficient service with a smile and a tasty cream tea which we thoroughly enjoyed. MoreOpenTable Diner -

The Valiant Sailor is a cosy country pub sat at the top of the white cliffs in the beautiful village of Capel-le-Ferne. We serve home cooked food using locally sourced meat and vegetables and a delicious roast on a Sunday. We are dog and family friendly with a large car park and beer garden with children's playground.
We are on The North Downs Way and The England Coast Path and are ideally located for ramblers and dog walkers and visitors to The Warren beach down the cliff path below the pub or The Battle of Britain Memorial next door.
We are 4 miles from EuroTunnel and 6 miles from the Port of Dover and welcome overnight motor home stopovers. More
