DineLA was a great deal for items that's usually on their menu! Loved the tomato & berries burrata, sea urchin pasta, and black cod. All the desserts were amazing too.
Food and the wait staff were excellent! Definitely will go again when it is safe to dine inside.

The food was absolute delicious and flavor was consistent. My 3 other friends were wow'd as well, especially the birthday girl! You gave her a cake with a candle and we sang happy birthday to her. It was really special for her.

The food and service are outstanding. The outside patio created to accommodate the COVID-19 indoor restaurant closures was lovely and the tables were appropriately spaced to meet the guidelines. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Kali's. The food was excellent and the service was quite good as well. We will definitely return on another occasion since this is one of our favorite restaurants. The black cod is exquisite as well as the risotto. Definitely recommend these two dishes.
The servers were great and attentive. They also had their masks on the whole time. DineLA was a great deal.
My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Kali for a while now and DineLA seemed like the perfect chance to do so. The outdoor patio/dining area was nice and the waitstaff were all so attentive and followed covid regulations. I had heard so many good things about Kali but unfortunately the food fell short. The Garlic risotto lacked flavor and was very heavy, the Uni pasta had the same issue where it just needed salt and the pasta to uni ratio was off. The hangar steak was tender and flavorful but there was nothing overly special about it. The best part of the dinela meal was the pana cotta and the gelato for dessert. definitely expected more for a Michelin Star restaurant and hoping it was just the Dinela menu that fell short this time.
I rarely treat myself to such a meal but I wanted a place to celebrate a promotion with my friends. Kali was absolutely the right choice!
The host was extremely polite and knowledgeable, the wait staff were professional, courteous and great at anticipating our needs.
Dining in the outdoor patio felt very safe and distanced from other tables. The staff took every precaution to make sure they followed every health guideline.
The 3 course meal was beautiful and delicious. They even made an alteration for my Vegan friend.

Excellent value DineLA menu with delicious options for carnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians. The barley appetizer option was a wonderful earthy touch, and the desserts were right on tune: not too sweet with wonderful textures. They've set up a simple but nice Covid patio. Will definitely be going back to try the regular menu and check out the indoor space.
Great outdoor space with more than 6 feet spaced out seating in a newly created area in the parking area, shaded with umbrellas, with some heaters available. Great food and service as always!

The food was great and so was our server. The ambience lacked because of the alley service due to covid.
Wonderful cuisine. We are in a converted parking lot into a patio. Social distancing and masking are observed. The front was friendly and gracious and the service professional and California.
Of course the food - wonderful, a feast for eyes and the palate and well paced.
We would suggest the berry salad, cod and crudo.
The desserts taste as good as they look.
The pims cocktail was tasty and the wine by the glass hit the spot.
Once the sun goes down it gets chilly so I would suggest bringing a sweater or wrap.
Happy dining - keep this place open to get through these difficult times.

Kali does it again! I picked the perfect place for my first outdoor dining experience during this pandemic. The menu is more limited than usual but that is to be expected. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The friend chicken sandwich was also delicious. What a treat. I can't wait to go back.
Really great visit to Kali on the patio that they have built on the back parking area. Lighting is nice, service and food as great as ever, and truly appreciate such a warm, welcoming crew in a challenging new restaurant environment. Highly recommend it!

The signage for Kali vs the other restaurant sharing the outdoor space wasn’t super clear. We almost ended up having dinner at the other restaurant. The menu has shrunken but I’m ecstatic that my favorite, sea urchin pasta is still on the menu! I introduced my friend to the sea urchin pasta and she’s a convert. While I enjoyed being able to dine out, there were a couple of flies that were trying to enjoy my Kali experience as well.
This was my first (and much awaited) return visit since Kali reopened for alfresco dining. True to their innovative spirit, Chef Kevin Meehan and Drew Langley quickly created a cozy outdoor oasis which sets the mood for their Michelin starred service and cuisine. I tried a variety of dishes - some new and others old favorites. Each plate starts with the highest quality locally sourced product, which is brought to its full potential in the highly skilled kitchen. The cucumber gazpacho was a perfect entree on a hot summer night. It was crisp and refreshing, with a delicate balance of flavors. Each year, I dream about the return of the classic Berries and Burrata salad. The sweet Pudwell Farms berries offset the savory tomato and creamy burrata, with the added crunch from granola. The local black cod is a menu staple, and was accompanied by a seasonal Brentwood Farms corn fondue and pepper confit. Kali features dry aged Flannery Beef, and the main course hangar steak with tomato salad and crispy Weiser Farm potatoes was a hearty and delicious treat. To finish, a smooth and gorgeous berry sorbet was sweet and refreshing. Kali features a notable wine list and cocktail program which brings out the best in the cuisine. Service, as always was attentive, warm and knowledgable. Despite the immense challenges in the COVID era, Kali is operating at a safe, and meticulous level, reminding us why they are one of the finest restaurants in Southern California. I really enjoyed this much needed dining experience and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

The food was surprising. I was expecting light, airy, fresh, ie. your typical California cuisine.
But I was surprised at how deep, rich, and complex everything was. In a good way!
The Barley risotto was so good! Sometimes restaurant fare, especially in California, has this fear of a dish tasting “home cooked” but it tasted like a dish you would expect from a grandmother who has been making for 50 years!
Candies egg yolk meringue gelato tasted about as good as it looked! Spectacular! Couldn’t be more satisfied with my little dinner for 1.

Servers and the owner were courteous, explained the COVID precautions they were taking and sat us right away. The food was great, the bread was a treat, and the portions were very hearty. Would come back.
In this new time of Covid you didn't know what to expect when entering the restaurant. The staff was friendly and everyone was armed with safety ware. Our server had a face mask and a plastic face covering, but that didn't impact his friendly demeanor and attentive service.
The food was amazing. It's easy to see why they earned a Michelin star. The only downside was that they were operating on a limited capacity so the menu was not the full menu. None-the-less the food that was on the menu was fantastic.
The hanger steak was perfectly cooked and the colors danced on the plate. The meat was tender and had the perfect bounce. It was slightly sweet, savory, and umami. The sauce that accompanied it was addictive and shared the same qualities.
The dessert I ordered was garnished with cured egg yolks on top of a creamy milky light fluff. It was sweet and savory working together in harmony.
All the food was excellent. The dessert was a great finale. Staff was very courteous and made the experience totally comfortable despite the Covid policies. We will definitely go back for more!
Excellent meal, excellent service, 5 stars! had the uni pasta, rissoto, and duck and wow! Perfect flavors! It's a must in LA.
