Jimmy's on Broadway
A locals gathering place and where visitors always feel welcomed, Jimmy's is Capitol Hill's best kept secret.
Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
Food was good, everyone in our party of four seemed happy. Service was above & beyond!
Great food and service! The plates are large and the Avocado Toast is to die for!
Fresh, creative fare with generous portions. Friendly efficient service. There were lots of choices of steaks, salads, fish, sandwiches, fun appetizers and very good cocktails. The Perfect Man was one of the best Manhattans I have enjoyed, classic, yet creative. The dessert options sounded fabulous but we were too full. AND what more can you ask than FREE Parking in Seattle! WooHoo! Only weird thing was having a movie on the TV screens with no sound or subtitles. I prefer no TV screens.
Jimmy's on Broadway is great. The food is more than delicious and the service was superb!
A great option for lunch or brunch after mass at the Chapel of St. Ignatius nearby. The menu had enough variety to keep everyone in our group of 6 happy. One guest with mobility issues was grateful for the easy parking and elevator. However, when he wanted to use the restroom he had to trek out through the lobby and up a fairly steep set of steps to the restroom. Luckily he was able to navigate it. Not sure what someone in a wheelchair would do.
Reservation was easy, and place was not busy during Sunday brunch. Food took a long time to come out and was not served all at once, with three hungry, jumpy kids waiting. Food was generally okay to good, but not great.
I've always found Jimmy's on Broadway to be a relaxing, quiet refuge in the busy city. Food's good, prices OK and atmosphere relaxed.
Easter brunch with family staying at Silver Cloud. Service was great! However, definitely hit and miss with the dishes selected. Best is the French brioche toast. Eggs with special brunch lobster Benedict was firm, not the desired runny deliciousness. Huge cinnamon roll, while visually appealing, was dry. Blueberry pancakes were good. Overall, while convenient for hotel guests, the food is underwhelming.
I've dined at Jimmy's several times, for all meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner). The food has always been good, very fresh tasting. Plating is appealing. It's quiet and somewhat cozy. Food quality is better than most hotel restaurants I've dined at. Staff has always been attentive and friendly.
The menu offers a good range of options and all the dishes we received were welcomed happily. The portions were generous and special requests were honored cheerfully. All-in-all a reliable and pleasant place for a reasonably priced meal.
Ate in the bar, very comfortable, food was great, server friendly, gave good suggestions for food.
Food was not good. Ribs on top of fries made fries soggy.
Taste for both entries was less than expected.
My wife's berry crumble desert was like a bottle of jam with a few crumbs sprinkled on top.
My sundae was terrible. Whipped cream kept on counter next to stove, so it was like milk, which poured out of the shallow bowl into the plate. Like a chocolate soup.
We ate out for the rest of the stay. Sorry, but you asked.
Clam Chowder was excellent, Calamari was great and burger was fantastic
was a great time. The wait was over an hour so definitely recommend reservations
This 3 rating is not meant to be poor, but average. The ambiance is nice. The service manager was charming and pleasant. We went for lunch about 2PM on a Sunday. We were the only customers, and service was slow, but OK. I had a frittata which was bland but OK. My date had fish and chips, which she said was decent. Maybe we caught them at an off-time, but was a rather average meal/experience.
We’ve eaten at Jimmy’s several times and it’s almost always good. The last time was the only time we have been disappointed. My partner had the crab mac and cheese and I had the pasta bolognese. The crab mac and cheese was under-seasoned and lacking crab. There was more cheese than anything in the dish. My pasta bolognese was extremely salty and barely edible. I had to stop forcing myself to eat it about half way through. We sat next to the kitchen and saw many other dishes being sent back as well. This is not the norm for Jimmy’s and we will go back. Hopefully the quality we are used to will be present next time.
Nice ambience, warm and inviting. We were seated by the fireplace. I had a salmon BLT. The salmon was good, bacon could have been better. Our server was very good. I would recommend this restaurant. Going back for breakfast.
We really enjoyed eating & having drinks at Jimmy's!
This was a pleasant restaurant for Christmas dinner. It was hard to find any restaurants open for the holiday! Street parking was free and they have a garage if you come around to the front of Silver Cloud Hotel. We all have different tastes in our family and everyone found something on the menu that they liked. Their regular choices weren't on the menu so you have to contact them ahead of you have special dietary needs. They were able to accommodate my food allergies and have also marked gluten free and vegetarian items on the menu for those that need to know. The 2 year old in our party was happy with her special menu--kid friendly food and a menu with a crayon.
Christmas Day brunch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Worked together well. Food was good.
The restaurant itself was casual but nice, food was okay. The only reason I wouldn't give this restaurant a better rating is because our host and our server didn't seem as though they were especially happy to be there. Personally, I've worked in the customer service industry so I get it. That's why I make it a point to be a friendly, NON-high maintenance customer and my accompanying party of visitors to Seattle followed suit. Our server wasn't friendly at all, nor did she offer any suggestions. There was also no host/hostess at the waiting area for seating, a Silver cloud employee had to find someone to seat us. I would not recommend this restaurant nor will I be returning.
I had a rare dinner out with my wonderful daughter. I really like the warm and cozy atmosphere. The food was tasty and the portion sizes were reasonable.
We arrived ten minutes early for our 6:00 PM reservation and attempted to check in at the host station. There was a line of people blocking the door with no guidance from restaurant staff. There were several empty tables the entire 30 minutes we stood there. The manager was seating 5:30 reservations at 6:15. We weren't allowed to check in and the other people in the line also hadn't yet checked in. There was no way for us to verify that we'd arrived for our reservation because the manager refused to do so even after we requested that we be allowed to check in. We saw several groups of people leave the waiting line without being seated. We had to hold the door open for people leaving the restaurant because there was no guidance or accommodation for guests that were waiting so we were positioned in front of the entrance doors. During the 30 minutes while we stood there, none of the employees acknowledged us so we left. The lack of acknowledgment felt disrespectful. This was an abnormally poor example of service from Jimmy's. We typically have very good service but this was a big disappointment on a holiday.
We had reservations for 5:30 on Thanksgiving and it seemed everyone else did too. We had to wait close to 40 minutes to be seated. The hostess didn’t seem to know our names despite reservations made via OpenTable. The server was pleasant and once we ordered the food was delivered quickly. My husband and son were disappointed with the small serving sizes of the Thanksgiving meal. There was a mix of dark and white chopped not sliced turkey topped with a cranberry sauce and small dollops (size of a small ice cream scoop) of sweet potatoes, stuffing mashed potatoes and green beans. We had no issues with the quality of the food just for the price $30pp we thought they could have done more and included a piece of pie.
Our waiter, Drew, was wonderful. Thanks for a great time. Hope YOU had a happy Thanksgiving.
Everyone did a great job on Turkey Day!! Yay!! And thank you all for working!
Wonderful as always. Bilal was attentive without “hovering,” and remembered what we like.
And the food has never disappointed. The bartender was definitely on point w/ the White Cosmo’s as well :-).
My favorite place in Seattle.
The food was delicious but the service was awful. Our waiter wasn't attentive and the food came out slowly over the course of 40 minutes. Not one person was served their lunch at the same time. I ordered one slider and fried and got the fries 40 minutes before my one tiny slider. The waiter blamed the kitchen, never apologized and didn't offer any discounts on our meal. The manager didn't offer up any apologies. The restaurant was not very crowded at the time so there was no reason for this bad service.
Some very good items on the menu though limited. Good service and some good local brews.
I like Jimmy's on Broadway. It's a comfortable environment. Whether you're gathering with friends late at night or with the family, it's good. Their food is tasty and they have gluten free options, which is nice. They even make their hollandaise sauce themselves, so it doesn't have gluten in it, like so many pre-packaged sauces do. Service was a bit inattentive and our food was lukewarm when we got it, but they took care of it and made us new plates. It wouldn't stop me from eating there again. The Seahawks game was on, but it wasn't loud like a lot of places, so I could appreciate that.
Brunch menu was excellent. Food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. I enjoyed my croque madame with the breakfast potatoes, which had a little spice to it. Drinks were not boozy but still enjoyable. We had a large party of 16 people. Server was friendly and accommodating, which was greatly appreciated. Our group doesn't meet very often, so it was nice to have that kind of space to chat, catch up, and enjoy each others' company over a shared meal.
Great informal restaurant spoiled by poor customer service this time. I would give them another chance.
Great food and service!! Might go back for dinner! Everything was great! Corned Beef Hash was amazing!!
Went for a casual lunch business meeting and sat by the window. Not many people there for lunch time. Food was great. Large portions. Substitutions accommodated. Server was very friendly and helpful. Only reason it got 4 stars is because food and drinks took a bit to come out. We weren't in a huge hurry but usually lunch is much quicker than that. Gouda bacon cheese dip was delicious 😋
Amazing dinner-staff-atmosphere!! Thank you for a truly amazing dinner!!!
We went for Sunday brunch and the food was very good. We had a five-year old with us and they brought a kids menu and something to color on, which was great. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, which I think was too long considering we were one the first tables to sit down. There were eight of us, which may have affected the delivery timing. Apart from that, it was good and we would go again.
My husband and I ate at Jimmy's mainly for the convenience as we were spending the night at the Silver Cloud Hotel. Jimmy's is located inside the hotel. It was a very good decision as we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We sat in the bar area and watched the Mariner's game. It was a bit noisy (due to cheering for the game) but we were up for that and it made the evening more enjoyable. Our waitress/bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu and her service was spot on. She took our drink orders right away and gave us the right amount of time to make our dinner selections. I had a salad with calamari (can't remember the name of it but it was on their seasonal menu) and my husband had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. Both were very tasty. I'd recommend Jimmy's for the good food and good service at reasonable Seattle prices.
Was advertised as a nice sit down restaurant, but upon walking in we realized this was more along the lines of a sports bar.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Jimmy's the other night. It's kind of a sports bar, which is not all that interesting to us. The noise level was moderate, though, so we were able to enjoy our food and have a conversation. The waitstaff was very professional and attentive and the food was very good. We would eat here again should we be in the area.
