Visited for Sunday Brunch. Service was horrible at best. Restuarant was dirty. Food quality was ok, but not worth the cost, horrible service, and poorly kept dining facility. Too many better options in DC Metro!
I have been to Jackson 20 two times prior and never had this kind of experience. Our waiter was not very polite, he acted as if we were a burden to serve, after waiting approximately 10-15 minutes to take our food order to begin with. Items were served by passing them across someone else's plate (a huge no-no) and the eggs were overcooked and the bacon was burnt. I am unsure if I will give Jackson 20 another chance after this experience.
The service was excellent and attentive, Hector in particular.
However, the food was not up to par as is our previous visits.
We specifically ordered eggs medium well so they were not rock hard but they came so fried up they had no taste. Also, the red skin potatoes were so fried up. Please bring back the hash browns or offer red skin potatoes that are roasted or boiled - it bit healthier! The ham was better than usual thanks!

Actually went two more times after this visit Went for breakfast two more days and it was excellent.
Both the hostess and the waiters at all of our visits were extremely friendly and excellent.

Food was ok....lights were out for a while but came back on in the middle of eating. Waiter seemed to be rushing while taking our order too....

Power in the restaurant was off and ate entire meal in the dark without comps or management acknowledgements. Waitress was rude and not attentive. Food was not that great for the price.
I love the Jackson 20’s “salad bar!” A green salad with a protein and three side salads...all for $18! Please, order this wonderful, fresh dish next time you’re there.
We had a family brunch on Sunday after the marathon. We were fortunate to have reservations as the restaurant was completely booked. Lovely setting, although noise levels were pretty high. Food was very good. Service was fairly relaxed, which gave us time to chat.
Extremely underwhelming. The service was terrible. Simple requests like ordering seltzer water and putting the drinks on a certain credit card were screwed up and took multiple tries to fix. Food was flavorless.

We have been taking my family to Jackson 20 for Easter for the past 4 years. We will never go again. First, we show up and they don't have their full menu, but instead have some $36 per person brunch menu. Nothing on the menu was appealing, so we all just got the traditional eggs breakfast. The service was terrible. Waited a half hour to have someone come out and take our order. Food came out 20 minutes later before the drinks even arrived. The food was ok but not worth $36 a person...because it was eggs. The 4 of us had breakfast, 2 had mimosas, and 2 coffees and we spent over $200...for bad service, and ok food. We will be taking our family to Mia's from now on.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the experience I was hoping for. It was Easter brunch so prices were higher which was to be expected, but the food was nothing special. We literally did not see our server after placing our order. Other people brought our food and we had to hunt someone down for our check when it was time to leave and still we never saw her. We never even got the family dessert offered to us (that came with the meal). The atmosphere was cool but not worth going back unfortunately

Pretty bad service, super slow on a non-busy weekend morning ... then food showed up cold.
Had to stop other servers to get coffee refills or to get the bill or to send food back. There were only two of us. Seemed like most patrons were having same issues/frustrations, waiting for service, bills or creamer etc.
Breakfast was okay...could’ve been a local diner if I had my eyes closed.

I loved Jackson 20 as a brunch spot but its been a few years since I last went. I was surprised at the quality of the food for dinner. It was definitely just "meh" and not worth the price. The chicken was dry, the mashed potatoes overly peppered and the sauted spinach was greasy. My fiance had the monkfish and also found it underwhelming. The dessert was described as having both peaches and berries but only had peaches and was overbaked. The service was EXCELLENT but did not make up for paying more for the food than it was worth.

I have actually told everyone that I know NOT to EVER eat at this place! The service was HORRIBLE and the food was even worse!
They did not have the food that I ordered which I did not get notified of until the rest of my parties food was being brought out! I then ordered the chicken and waffles although I should have listened to the warning of another disappointed patron at the front of the restaurant. IT WAS EASILY THE WORST MEAL THAT I'VE EVER HAD AT A RESTAURANT!!!

I’ve been here many times...usually I love it for the atmosphere, food, service, and most importantly BRUNCH MIMOSAS! But the last time I went the service was bad, they changed the mimosas to $10 per mimosa instead of $3 per mimosa for brunch and our appetizer came out with our food instead of before, it wasn’t hot, and we saw our waiter about 2 times the entire time we were there. We had to keep asking other people to help us. I don’t know that we’ll be back.

I was disappointed with the service because I made a reservation the day before to have brunch with my family on my birthday. We arrived 10 minutes before the time of the reservation and still had to wait 25 minutes for the staff to prepare a table. After we all ordered our food, we sat there for 30 minutes only for it to be revealed to us that our table's order was "lost". When we finally got our food we were too annoyed to fully enjoy it. The food was great and our server was did cut our bill in half because of the terrible service we received. Definitely will never eat here again.

I’ve been here years ago for dinner and finally got the chance to visit it for brunch. It was delicious and surprisingly the portions were mighty. I plan to return!
Breakfast with friends
Fantastic place for Sunday Brunch! We had a reservation for 9 AM, were seated immediately, and enjoyed prompt service with a knowledgeable waiter in an elegantly casual, comfortable environment. The food's delicious (one exception being the chicken and waffles - chicken a little dry - maybe over-fried (waffle scrumptious with fresh fruit salad included). Other winning choices were the brisket hash (delish), the eggs benedict with crabcake, and the turkey club. The place was humming with patrons by 9:30.....definitely recommend and will be back (can't beat the free parking, service, and the food - something for everyone!
Went for brunch and we were sat immediately but then we had to wait over a half hour for anyone to come over to us. I asked for our drinks waitress asked us to order and explained that my sister was parking and would be right there and the waitress kept asking us to order when I said that I wanted to wait till my sister got there. She asked 3 times and stood there it wasn’t busy. I work in restaurants so I’m very understanding but this was ridiculous. I love Jackson 20 but this visit was awful.
We certainly won't be back. Sliders with BBQ sauce so vinegary that it was barely edible. Chicken and Waffles with fried chicken that wasn't cooked all the way through and service that was slow, slow, slow. Luckily the people I was there with were great, or this would have been a total bust. Too many choices in Old Town to ever waste time here again. :(
Service was poor. Management not responsive.
The Resturant was a minimal capacity yet once the food was delivered no continuing service. I had to request the check after being left alone for 45 minutes without offering more water or more oj. Very disappointed, I have been looking for a place in the area to enjoy. I left truly disappointed.
The food and service at Jackson 20 is always great. I've been to that restaurant for brunch and dinner before and would recommend it to anyone.
Excellent place for brunch! Convenient location and food was amazing.
They messed up my reservation a little bit but were very accommodating in solving the mix-up. However, even after that our waiter was a bit off. He was really nice but not very attentive given the relative calmness of the restaurant at the time. But then he comp'd my friends birthday drink and dessert. Overall good but not always the best.
Hector was pleasant, professional and attentive. Now there were 2 things. When I called to ask questions about brunch back in February, they told me they offered a big bottle of champagne for mimosas and that I was not the case. We were disappointed that we had to pay either $9 for a glass of mimosa or $35 for a regular bottle. The other was a $3.50 per person if you brought your own cake, and they told me no charge when I called
But I will go back based on excellent food and service.
