Ivar's Acres of Clams
Original features of the Pier including exposed fir beams and a refurbished Galbraith-Bacon & Co sign from the original tenant were restored. Enjoy expansive views of the Puget Sound, Washington State ferries and fireboats from historic Fire Station #3. If you prefer al fresco dining, enjoy a stunning, new outdoor patio. Bask in the open-air breeze while taking in the sights and sounds of Elliott Bay.
Our chefs create award-winning preparations to reflect the season’s bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund’s world famous original recipes. Dine on wild Alaskan salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaskan King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams, weathervane scallops just to name a few.
Wish they would offer smaller portions of the fish and chips. You get 4 and I can only eat 2.
Had a couples night and things went really well. Server was attentive and ambiance felt good.
Excellent service and nice atmosphere
The service was great and the food was amazing! I've never had oysters so fresh before!
Ivars is a Seattle institution and a great place to bring friends and out of town guest. Remodeling the restaurant really improved the ambience. The food quality for the price is a great value with a great selection of menu items. The only minor issue was the server could’ve been a little more attentive. I will definitely be back.
Bacon Wrapped Halibut was awesome!
Their seared salmon is the most delicious and perfectly cooked. I also love their seasonal cider.
A fellow veteran and I went in for our annual freebie day and this was our last stop for the past 2 years. The surf n' turf combo was outstanding! The service was good but we felt as if we were barely paid attention to with the Seahawks game. Overall, fantastic all around though. We will be back again next year!
We are Seattle natives and have been eating at Ivar's Acres of Clams for decades. It is our favorite local restaurant.
Great place with a good atmosphere. Would recommend and plan to revisit.
Great service from Jose. Enjoyed the seafood and atmosphere. Nice before or after restaurant if you are attending the theater or other entertainment.
Amazing!!! Ivars is always a great experience!
Went for a late lunch during off hours. Very kitschy decor and meant for tourist. However, food and service was good and the view of the water can’t be beat if you get a window seat.
It was nice very tasty food!
Everyone is always friendly & knowledgeable. I grew up in the '70's & 80's going to Acres of Clams with my mom. She has since passed, so this location is especially memorable to me. The tradition continues with my boyfriend's family-they have been Christmas Eve diners for more than 30 years. Always top notch service, food, and atmosphere.
I am so pleased with my decision to have had my birthday dinner there.
Love the smoked salmon and corn chowder. Bacon wrapped halibut with acorn squash was excellent.
It good overall
Expensive lukewarm food in a loud place.
Overall food was amazing. Our server came by after 15 minutes of sitting there and we then asked for a couple minutes to decide on drinks. He came back about 20 minutes later. He was not very personable and was very short with us the entire meal. We still enjoyed our date, but our waiter’s short temperament was definitely a talking point. The chowder sampler made up for the lack of service.
Food specials at happy hour offer a wide variety for good value. We shared a salad and crab legs and the kitchen split it on two plates before sending out. Nice touch!
Food was great! I would come back for the food but my server was kind of a miss. They only showed up three times, order, serving food, and bill.
Chowder sample was on point. The new tempera chicken was over hyped and something I could get for way cheaper else where.
Beautiful harbor views and good food. What more can you ask for?
Good foods, Nice view!
If you have a chance to visit Seattle downtown. You should visit once to have traditional Clam chowder. :D
Fantastic king crab legs
The staff was very efficient and polite. The food was very good and nicely presented.
My sisters birthday was well celebrated! Ivers is perfect for everything!
Chowder was great, salad was very good. Beautiful setting in the water at sunset.
We were there early so it wasn’t real busy. The waiter was good. Food was excellent!
Sunset was incredible and only added to the beauty of the evening. The food was outstanding - we had the signature Clam Chowder (the best in Seattle!) the Acres of Clams - fantastic as was the halibut special. The setting was a bit loud, as was to be expected for a large area. Service was good as well, but she seemed a bit flustered with several large tables. She was accommodating and polite. A wonderful experience!
I AM PLEASED AND GLAD WE CHOSE IVARS. Most especially I want to commend Doug our waiter
Douglas - a real pro - courteous, efficient, prompt, unobtrusive, helpful. It was my wife's birthday and we had a great afternoon! Excellent food too! Thank you!
Second time to visit this beautiful building, warehouse that serves great seafood in very nice atmosphere.
Wonderful waiter. Food was nothing special but good.
Flew to Seattle to see friends. This was lunch with only a couple of them. Highly recommended and they were right. Great table overlooking the waterfront. Fairly busy but excellent food, service and value.
Accueil sympathique, repas de qualité. Produits frais.
Excellent seafood and wonderful service. While the size of the restaurant screams tourist, the food os well prepared and delicious. Halibut was amazing.
We started with cocktails in the bar while we waited for our table, they were excellent! Our server, she was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable! I marked the noise level as medium low, but I bet during really busy times it can get a little louder. We felt that you could dine here dresses up or just off the street shopping, super cozy. The muscles with coconut curry are definitely worth going back for!
Been a few years since I ate there, much improvement in layout - still miss it a bit as I remembered it, especially the "Acres of Clams" poem on menu/placemats.
The grilled halibut was amazing! Steak salad was delish, and the grilled prawns were tasty as well. We had a reservation, but were initially told we had to wait a few minutes for our table, even though they weren't that busy. Once we were seated, it was quite a bit before we were actually waited on too. Once we ordered it didn't take too long for the food to come out though.
