The food and service was fantastic and the space is set out really nice. Everything was very clean and well presented. We would definitely visit again. The only thing to let it down was that we were the only diners in the whole place, so it lacked atmosphere. Not sure if this is usual as we were the last sitting on a Friday night or could be in light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak. Town was quiet to as we went for a drink afterwards.
Hygge Testing Menu was fantasic, so much food, great value. The staff are also very pleasant and provide good service (however, there perhaps wasn't enough staff for the amount of guests on the day we went)
Excellent food. Lovely flavours. Great value. Will go again.
I think it's probably about expectations; I'm not really sure the lunch menu is realistic as an upgrade from the normal, for me to go again I would want to see a better lunch menu for around £10 . The salad, soup and toasties menu was pretty limiting ,especially as a member of our party couldn't have any sides due to a gluten intolerance ( the server was great, really tried to solve this issue but ultimately couldn't ).
I'm sure the main menu and is great though, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and with really good service. I would try it again for a main two hour lunch if someone was treating me!
Wonderful, more people need to know about this great place!!
An interesting menu with delicious food - the lamb was wonderful and the summer pudding absolutely gorgeous! Friendly service - a really special Graduation meal!
We didn't have a great experience when we went to Inox Dine for lunch. We went for the graduation menu, which was not cheap (£25 for 2 courses) and had to wait over an hour before we got any food, despite the fact that it was pretty empty. The staff were all nice and friendly, but the service was poor - we had to keep asking them to take things off the tables, bring us water etc and we still had the starter plates with melting butter on the tables at the end of the meal. The kids macaroni cheese was made with smoked cheese and none of the kids would touch it, despite being really hungry. The waiter was very nice and did replace it with fish fingers and chips without charging us extra. The food was very nicely presented and was OK, but we all found it too salty. The place itself was nice, and it was lovely seeing all the graduation stuff going on outside. They did knock us some money off at the end, but it took a lot of wrangling. We went to the Interval bar for tea later and had a much nicer meal, with better service at a fraction of the price!
Fresh delicious ingredients, put together so well, and great customer service. In an area where there are a lot of excellent restaurants, this place stands its own and is fantastic value for money. Just wish we lived nearer,
Gorgeous food, great vegan options, attentivre friendly service and three courses plus bottle of wine for two people for under £65, what more could we ask?!
lovely meal and atmosphere for Mothers day. great menu.
We went for Mother's Day. The food was delicious and the team who served us were friendly and helpful. The decor and ambience is lovely, so we had a great experience. My Mum loved it.
pilaf rather greasy
could have offered 2 varieties of cheese
Hygge menu in January 2019 was great - the 'Smorgasbrod' gave a taster of all options and was great to share between two.
Attended Inox Dine for our daughter’s Masters Graduation and chose from the Winter Graduation menu. Service was very attentive but not in any way intrusive and the atmosphere was very relaxed. This is our second graduation meal at this restaurant and I was not disappointed in any way.
We ate here before attending a concert at the Octogan centre. Good menu choice friendly staff. Lovely presentation of food using seasonal foods. Nice to see good veggie/vegan choices 5 stars there. We’ll be back.
Difficult to find but worth it once there. Quiet, excellent service, lovely food and good deal even when not part of the Dine Sheffield event
Overall, very impressed by the service, starters, and the majority of the mains. However, one of our party was not keen on the purple potatoes which was a shame because she really enjoyed the rest of the dish and felt that it ruined the taste of the salmon, sides, and sauce. Further, the two who had the dhaal dish (one with chicken, one vegetarian) found that the rice was inedible due to the amount of turmeric. Again, the rest of this dish was delicious so just a shame that the side couldn't be eaten with it.
Despite the above, we were really impressed by the service and appreciated the lovely gesture of bringing out a 'thank you' plate to complement the balloons that were brought. It was a special way to end the meal.
Unfortunately, the details mentioned were the reasons why we felt unable to raise the ratings but, should these be addressed, we would absolutely recommend Inox to others.
Delicious food and great service at this Sheffield Uni venue. Was a little quiet the evening we dined here - would be more atmospheric if busier and opened later.
Fabulous place for afternoon tea at exceptional value. Each item is beautifully presented and hand made. Especially good for those of us alumni nostalgically looking back to our university days and beautiful views of the city in a chic modern environment.
Quick note- it's even better to offer a second plate and knife with an afternoon tea (which I did get the first time), as savoury and sweet don't mix well!
A great experience for a friend's special birthday though. Thanks
Whilst the food was excellent and the ambience was comfortable, the service was exceptional. Our waitress/Deputy House Manager was warm and welcoming with an easy touch. One tiny niggle was that our desert was a long time coming which meant that I had to gobble it down as the meal was pre-concert (Firth Hall) - I couldn't do the desert justice.
Other good points are the complementary water (still or fizzy) which comes in refillable bottles. The set menu offers excellent value for money.
The tables are far enough apart to allow a degree of privacy.
The music is relaxing and at a volume that doesn't intrude into the conversation.
We are so impressed we're heading to Inox (less than a week later) to celebrate our daughter's birthday!
Very good lunch, good value for money. Good place for long lunch and conversation.
We booked for 6.30 (their latest usually) and were a bit late. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Only us there. Why hadn't more people booked? No idea, except that Inox Dine is aiming more at the lunch market. Delicious food. Several veggie or vegan options. Everything cooked beautifully. Nice wine. Very reasonable price: under £50 for 3 courses and glass of wine for 2. Perfect anniversary meal. Hope to go again soon.
Waitress perhaps a little too attentive. Why ask if we are OK for drinks when we have just been given 2 bottles of water and 2 beers?
Met all expectations. Food and service up the usual high standards. Excellent value for money.
Arguably the best place to lunch in Sheffield.
Please continue to survive despite current inimical environment.
Lovely Mother’s Day Lunch.
Food excellent, roast beer melted in the mouth, puddings to die for!
Definitely be back.
Ooh and the plates were fabulous-where are they from??
We enjoyed nice food from the mothers day menu in a comfortable setting.
The food is trying to be fancy but falls short in the execution. Goats cheese and lemon thyme parfait tasted only of goats cheese, was rock hard, straight out of the fridge and was very dense. The oatcakes were good, the orange and beetroot pleasant, though not enough for the amount of goats cheese. The beef was only moderately warm. Perhaps this was intentional, but if it is intentional, it's wrong. The 'INOX' potato skins were also not hot enough and were an unappealing brown. Apart from some visible beef and spring onion, it tasted of very little therefore we weren't sure what was in it. The highlight was the dessert, though it was rather heavy for an egg tart. Positives were that the nutmeg was generous and pear puree added a fresh element to the dish. The cinnamon donut was overdone but it was a relief to have something genuinely hot. The staff tried to be efficient and pleasant but we had our bread plates left until well past ordering dessert. Pleasant enough but needs refining.
Quick, attentive service; great food; good portion sizes; nice , quiet ambience
Visited during Hygge week. We shared the smorgasbord...which was like Danish tapas. It was very tasty and great value for money. Well presented food and friendly staff. 2 for 1 cocktails during Happy Hour was an added bonus! Well worth a visit.
Eaten here twice and the food is always interesting and tasty. My last visit was not as good as my initial one. We were sat on a table tucked away in the corner which affected the service and twice had to seek out waiters to be served. However, it is a great view and nice ambience, so if the service was improved it would be a lovely place to eat.
Enjoyed my graduation lunch with family. The service and presentation was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you for adding to a lovely day.
A group of friends went for dinner on a Monday night. We were the only table all night. I have been to Inox on several occasions and found the food to be good value for money and well-prepared. We were let down on this occasion. Friends' comments about the food was that the pork belly and the salmon were both overcooked, the risotto was bland and tasted like baby food and the cheese board was disappointing as only one cheese, blue cheese, was served. It is probably better to name the cheese if only one is served than calling it a cheese board. Staff was friendly but could probably have been a little more attentive given we were the only table...
Needs more people in to give it atmosphere. Need to experiment with price and special offers to achieve this.
In terms of competition for business lunch look at Bistrot Pierre, Piccolinos, Vera Gusto and Nonnas.
Portion sizes could be reduced with no loss in value.
Very good food & service. Very, very good price. plenty of varied options on the menu.
if I was searching for any not so good points I would say the lack of other diners meant there was not much atmosphere, but take good company and its perfect, will definately go back.
Lovely atmosphere, great food and service. Close to my workplace. Tables far enough apart so conversations can be kept private
Very impressed with our first time visit. Friendly staff, good service, quality food with unusual menu choices. Restaurant layout and setting spot on and a nice bar area.
My Australian colleague and I came for a business lunch and were happy to have a quiet place next to the window. The food was excellent and the service team friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend INOX to colleagues and visitors.
I thought that the food was very nice, presentation excellent, but must feedback that the service was very slow.
The lunch was really good value, and the service was excellent.
It was our first visit and my husband and I had 2 courses with 2 drinks & wine. We had complimentary homemade bread with Hendersons relish butter, (gorgeous).
We had the risotto and the Yorkshire charcuterie, both were absolutely delicious. Then I had hake with samphire, fennel and a bean casserole, my husband had calves liver and bacon, served with individual accompaniments and both were really lovely.
I had 1/2 lager, £2.20 my husband a bottle of beer, £4.50, we then had a bottle of Malbec red wine, which was very nice, but also very overpriced at £22.
The food is very reasonably priced and of excellent quality, the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.
We will definitely go again but with even the cheapest bottle of wine at almost £18, we will give that a miss, which is a shame as it is part of the pleasure of dining out.
