Excellent - Everything on the menu Gluten free - best restaurant in London for a Celiac!!!
Wanted fine dining for a special occasion but had 2 Gluten intolerant people with us. Normally this is a problem but not here! Food fantastic. Service was excellent - one of our group had a cold and wasn’t drinking - the waiter came back with hot water, honey .... Recommend the venison - perfect!
We had the pre theatre menu which was delicious and good value for money.
Waiting staff were excellent and the general ambience was lovely. We felt we were having a special.meal in a special place
Would definitely recommend .
Thoughtful service, nothing too much trouble. Staff and management went out of their way to deliver exceptional service, with genuine smiles and a sense of fun. A great experience from beginning to end. Thank you
Lovely experience, a delight to have quality gluten free dinning.
The dining experience at Indigo is a real treat, and yet is very good value for money - top quality menu, with really interesting, creative options, but middle range pricing. And for coeliacs the fact that it's all gluten-free makes it a rare, relaxing dining experience. The mezzanine setting is comfortable but glamorous, and the Christmas decorations currently on display in the bar downstairs, which the tables look out over, are beautiful. You can easily hold a conversation with your friends without having to shout - a decided advantage these days, with so many restaurants lacking sound absorbing decor and carpets, etc. Lovely, obliging staff, too. A great experience from when you arrive to when you leave.
The staff were all helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious and we all had 3 courses without feeling uncomfortably "full". It was a bit noisy from time to time but we had a very enjoyable evening and the Christmas decorations were most attractive.
Good location. Nice environment but service was slow and the food was not great. Main course were small and underwhelming quality and taste.
The whole menu is dairy and gluten free, great for me as a coeliac, and apart from the gluten free bread, neither my friend or I could tell :-) The 5 course fixed menu is great value and only £25 extra for 3 matched wines which were all British. Quality food with emphasis on British seasonal ingredients. Service was a little slow resulting in some dishes arriving warm not hot. But hey, it was a Sunday evening and the waiters were busy.
Beautiful menu, brilliant food and friendly staff would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back thanks again
Such a joy for my Daughter to eat at a restaurant where she can have practically everything on the menu !!
Always a must visit when in London
Wonderful evening. The service was very good, very relaxed and happy atmosphere and the food was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.
Was not impressed with the waiter service . They were not very friendly and not attentive at all. Very slow service. Quality of food was good but didn’t think it was worth the money. I won’t be coming here again.
We had a lovely evening, the dessert was a big disappointment. We opted for the meringue which wasn’t homemade and was very bland. The starter and main was delicious and the service was fantastic.
Excellent choice as one diner gluten free and one diner lactose free. Service bit slow to bring our cocktails from the bar but overall meal was very good. Have dined there many times before and would definitely recommend it.
Amazing food, every bite was perfect. Service was attentive and friendly. Setting was really lovely.
The salmon was exquisite as were the scallops.
Service was great Emmanuel was a terrific waiter and made the stay very enjoyable.
The pheasant was okay but not to the standard of the other meals.
Overall an excellent resteraunt.
My compliments to emmanuel and the chef
Wonderful experience, great food, lovely staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. :-)
Food was of good but not extraordinary quality
Perfect access to theater district
Ambiance was a little cornered with just no view
The tea in the bar area was perfect. Waitress was most observant and brought additional boiling water for topup.
All round excellence. Pleasant welcome, unobtrusive service and lovely food.
This was a birthday pre theatre dinner. The food was excellent and served by very friendly efficient staff. Much to recommend here.
Excellent value tasting menu. You always fear it ends up catering to pre/post theatre but not the case here. Perfectly measured service and very accommodating to allow us to move to a quieter table. Great Lallier selection on the wine list.
my Wife was looking forward to this as she has coeliac. The waiter was very good. However it was very rushed for food and slow for drinks. The food was good, but as it was soo rushed we didn’t enjoy the evening as we were 3 course done in just over an hour.
Birthday dinner for best friend. Staff genuinely incredible, ambience perfect. One of us has some hefty allergies and the staff were very accommodating. Went for the tasting menu.
Food good, but some dishes lacked seasoning and portion sizes left us in a pub ordering chips afterwards. One of the allergy replacement dishes was mackerel that had five bones left in it.
Would recommend continuously having bread topped up - we only had the one before our first course. Big mistake.
We’d not dined at Indigo before & wanted a new experience. Beautiful restaurant on mezzanine of No One Aldwych. Many diners there but it was a Friday evening. We opted for the tasting menu. We hadn’t realised that the food was gluten & dairy free. Food was very good with accompanying wine which frankly was a bit hit and miss. Some of the wine wasn’t the best. We prefer French wines but these originated from any other country. Service was fine but not as good as we’ve experienced elsewhere. Felt slightly like a conveyor belt. Interesting place.
It is such a treat to be able to order anything from the menu when you are both lactose and gluten intolerant. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is great too.
Excellent pre theatre meal....,delicious and good value.
The venue was fabulous, drinks very expensive but the 3-course menu great value for money and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and very professional, the evening was worth every penny we spent. Will definitely go again. Every Menu item is gluten and dairy free.
Lunch was very enjoyable. Salmon followed by pheasant. Cheesecake for dessert. All dishes were beautifully presented & service was exceptional, very friendly with just the right amount of time between courses, not rushed but no long waits. The restaurant is ideally situated for theatres on the Strand and Covent Garden. Highly recommended.
My wife being both gluten free and low dairy thoroughly enjoyed the fact that she was able to choose anything on the menu and eat it. Best meal she has had for a number of years. We will be back soon.
Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, great service, ambience very good! Really enjoyed it. Will defiantly be back
Service was leisurely, but verging on slow. Some servers leant across the table instead of going around it, to place food. There was room to go around the table. I am not dairy or gluten intolerant, but as you declare yourselves as a completely dairy and gluten free restaurant, I was surprised to find that I had been given cow's milk for my coffee. I expected to be asked which milk I would like, and would have asked my daughter which tasted the nicest. If I had been intolerant to dairy, it could have been a problem, and I didn't think the onus should have been on me to ask, bearing in mind your status. However, the staff were friendly and brought a Birthday treat for my daughter, and it was a very enjoyable occasion.
Despite being in a quiet corner the service was excellent and also everyone enjoyed the food
The meal was ok - nothing special. We did feel that the service was rushed with the waiter asking if he could clear our plates away almost immediately my Wife put her cutlery down - but then, somewhat strangely, everything became more ‘relaxed’ and we were told to take our time! Maybe our expectations were too high....
The service was very good but the food of my partner and I (same dish x 2) arrived cold and when they re-heated it it was still cold. Eventually, the chef re-made the dishes and they were nice but by this point our friends had already finished eating so it was a strange dinner of two halves. The menu is reasonably expensive so we expected it to be better. The staff did not attempt to offer compensation for the experience though they were otherwise professional and experienced.
Excellent food and service. Would have liked a little more crushed pea with my fish and chips. A lot of noise from the bar below. Nevertheless a very enjoyable, pre show meal.
Excellent service, lovely friendly server & really great food.
Excellent service, outstanding food, will definitely be booking again. My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant so finding this little gem has really impressed us both. At last she can order anything from the menu without all the fuss. We had an excellent meal and the staff were polite and very professional, thanks.
Fabulous in every way. I have been to Indigo several times for lunch and each time it has been absolutely perfect. I cannot fault it any way and would definitely recommend for lunch or afternoon tea. The location, atmosphere, staff and food are all wonderful. The restaurant is on a mezzanine and you are looking down onto the beautiful bar or outside to the busy streets. It's like a haven of tranquility in Covent Garden. It's a great location and the restaurant doesn't feel too crowded and there is a lovely atmosphere. The food is all gluten free and they serve the best gluten free sourdough I've ever tasted. All the food is beautifully cooked and presented and their set lunch menu is very good value. The staff really make the restaurant special for me. Everyone is relaxed, smiling and happy and nothing is too much trouble. The service is perfect. They make you feel welcome and every visit important and special. We will definitely return. Outstanding
Another great meal at Indigo, staff very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. 5 of us had a great evening.
