Indigo at One Aldwych
Crafted by Executive Chef Dominic Teague, the menu showcases inventive dishes focusing on seasonal ingredients, carefully sourced from the British Isles. All food is beautifully prepared and lunch and dinner are entirely gluten and dairy-free, without compromising on quality ingredients or taste. From quinoa, Jerusalem artichoke, pomegranate and smoked almonds salad, in-house baked samphire bread and Rhug Estate Lamb, these are dishes that stand up on their own.

A great start to our evening at the theatre. Professional and friendly staff and beautifully presented, wonderfully tasty food.
Superb service and food. Wonderful and extensive Gluten Free options.
This restaurant would easily obtain a Michelin rating. From their attentive staff, to the delightful and beautifully prevented food.
Their mixologist is a genius.
Outstanding service, cosy environment - we will be back.
Just outstanding atmosphere and service and great food
Beautiful gluten free food served by wonderful, friendly and knowledgable staff. A great experience !! thank you
Great food will always keep us returning.
Lovely evening, staff caring and very attentive. Outstanding food and all gluten free. Extra special touch for my birthday with a little cake and candle.
Service was fantastic and the food was lovely.....and no need to discuss allergies. Excellent wine list too. Well done!
Beautiful restaurant, great service. Veg main course not very inspiring.
This restaurant is a gluten free haven. Food was excellent as was service and attention to detail. Restaurant is on first floor and looks out over attractive bar area. Couldn’t really fault anything but it’s not the place to eat if your on a budget.
Outstanding service. Coped brilliantly when my epileptic son had a seizure at the table. Discreet yet warm and friendly. Can’t praise them enough.
And of course given 4 out of our group of 7 were coeliac and 2 dairy intolerant the menu choice was fabulous.
My husband & I love this restaurant. The pre / post theatre menu is such fabulous value for money& the quality of food is outstanding.
Must admit we do prefer the decor of the old restaurant, but that is just personal preference. Not keen on the booths as we personally prefer table & chairs & feel that the space of the restaurant previously was more open.
The staff at the hotel are extremely professional & we would most certainly recommend this restaurant to family, friends & colleagues.
The chefs are the unsung hero’s & because they are not seen credit should be given to them because if it was not for their superb culinary skills the restaurant would not be as successful.
We will be visiting again in 2020. Well done One Aldwych!
So rare to get gluten and dairy free restaurants that aren't also vegan, so this was a real find. As well as having a dessert that wasn't fruit salad.
I was with 2 gluten and dairy eaters but they didn't feel they were missing out at all. The food was fantastic, the service attentive, and prices were excellent considering the location in central London.
I certainly would , it’s the best restaurant I’ve been to ever .
We went there for Christmas dinner and it was really nice experience.
We love Indigo and with a coeliac child have become regulars here. Love the fact we can eat everything in confidence knowing it’s totally gluten free (including the scrumptious Charlie & the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea). The staff are always wonderful and warm, we have got to know many of them by name - and the setting is very welcoming of children. One of our favourite London restaurants! The Crains
We loved it. Great to go somewhere with a fab gluten free menu which gave all our family, including our daughter with Coeliac Disease. The service was a fab balance of style, polish and informal banter. We will certainly go back soon :-)
Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Hidden gem in central London
They didnt give us the set menu which was a disappointment, probably you need to ask for it. The waiter was nice and they were really attentive. Price wasn't too bad and the food was nice. Good to know everything is gluten and dairy free too, so I would definitely recommend on that front. Beautiful setting.
A great place for people with the celiac disease. Stunning hotel and restaurant and great atmosphere.
Third time here and love it. Food delicious. Service fast. Staff great.
Lovely food, very imaginative, and I particularly like that the menu is entirely gluten-free so, for me, as a coeliac, it’s very refreshing not to have to keep checking that there are no gluten containing Ingredients. Their gluten-free savoury bread is standout and the little sweet nibbles that they serve with coffee after the meal are delightful (usually in other restaurants, I can’t eat these as they will generally have gluten in ). It’s a great place for a posh lunch, catching up with friends for example. You can have a conversation easily as the noise level is not high even at Christmas time. The only tiny quibble was service was a little bit slower than would be comfortable for a work day lunch but generally, I would go to Indigo for a treat or special lunch or evening meal, and not expect to be too rushed anyway.
Went for Christmas treat with my adult children. My son is allergic to gluten and dairy but also nuts. This can be a problem at restaurants, even good ones. Needless to say, the GF and DF menu at Indigo was a real treat. So much choice for everyone (and you wouldn’t know it was GF/DF if they didn’t tell you...). Overall, it was a brilliant meal, and the service was exceptional. We’ll be back, to try the fish and chips! Thanks to all the staff.
Starter and main was really good, pre-theatre menu was really good value for money. Only criticism was the bread and seaweed butter as neither of us enjoyed the flavours. Overall a really good meal out and would eat there again.
I have eaten at Indigo for many years and I always enjoy being there. Normally the service is excellent but this time service was slow and intermittent. I had venison which was excellent and my friend pheasant breast. We were both extremely disappointed that there were NO green vegetables available even as a side order.
Delicious food and exceptional service yesterday such a great restaurant
As diners with either coeliac or gluten sensitivity it was liberating to have access to the full menu. The food itself was excellent and it was joyful for one of to be able to have fish in batter after about 30 years. Thank you!
As a coeliac I really appreciated that everything on the menu is gluten free and delicious. My non gluten free friends were also delighted to find so many interesting and fresh dishes on the menu. We all decided that Indigo is our restaurant of choice for our next meeting.
Rude waiter, not silver service and very unprofessional.
The service was incredible. Not too crowded and great view of street out of the windows. Food was also outstanding
Always a favourite, the staff and ambiance are excellent. The completely gluten free menu makes our lives much easier (one diner is coeliac, so the ordinary game of 20 questions is moot) and the dining experience for our whole party is more comfortable. This visit, we ordered from the set menu. The flavours were consistently wonderful from the bread through to petits fours and coffee. The temperature of the mains let us down this time: room-temperature beef cheek is less delightful than when served hot. Unhurried and friendly, we will return again and again.
Food and service are great. Location is nice. But very loud to have a dinner conversation!
Friendly and pleassnt ambience. Food good if not brilliant. Good wine list. Not a place for a quiet chat!
I loved the pheasant and would recommend it, but the ribeye was bad. We were a group of three, and one person ordered the ribeye medium and the other ordered the ribeye well done and both were bad. The pheasant was great though. I went to the restaurant because it’s gluten free and dairy free. I also loved the gluten free bread with seaweed butter served at the beginning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a vegan or vegetarian though as most of their dishes contain meat.
We had a very nice evening, food was great, service was too. Thank you!
Beautifully presented gluten free food.
Nice environment and excellent attentive service.
We had the 3 course menu plus a cocktail which was good value. I had vegetarian, my friend the fish.
From the initial greeting to the charming farewell the Indigo excelled. The waiter was charming warm and friendly. The menu choices were varied and prices reasonable. We opted for the 3 course fixed price option and we weren’t disappointed. The smoked salmon starter was delicious the main of sea bass didn’t disappoint. No room for pudding unfortunately. Service was smooth and unhurried. Will definitely return.
We quite often visit when in London. With my wife being coeliac this is the one restaurant she feels very comfortable eating in. Food, service and ambience are excellent.
Excellent - Everything on the menu Gluten free - best restaurant in London for a Celiac!!!
Wanted fine dining for a special occasion but had 2 Gluten intolerant people with us. Normally this is a problem but not here! Food fantastic. Service was excellent - one of our group had a cold and wasn’t drinking - the waiter came back with hot water, honey .... Recommend the venison - perfect!
