Good food and prompt service. No problems with any of the dishes. Only minor complaint is that the tables are really quite close together, and it would be nice if we could have been spread out a bit, particularly as the restaurant was not full.
Great location of a place I've walked past for years and finally only just tried.
Food was pretty good all in all, but I'd not have said the best Indian in the city for the price etc.
Little place like this should be mobbed for pre-theatre down to its location but I suppose it must not be for a reason.
Would recommend trying it, but many other places offering knock out Indian so would only advise if you're close by and hungry.
I had fresh white trainers on and the guy serving stood on them and got them dirty. Took a drink out the straw they gave me for my drink and it had a hole in it and went down my top.
Absolute terrible service tbh, won't be back.
Good food ,good service friendly staff, good sized portion and well priced
I have no complaints about the food or the service both of which were good. In my opinion it was slightly expensive in comparison to other Indian restaurants in Glasgow.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, excellent and will definitely return. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.
There are many Indian restaurants in Glasgow and whilst the food was good here the value for money was not. The same meal in other places (at the same quality or better) would have cost about £20 less... Will not be returning unfortunately.
Have been to Indian Gallery on numerous occasions and as usual have absolutely no complaints. It always feels like you are meeting all your friends. Will be back in the future.
having booked we were looking forward to our meal at The Indian Gallery We were pleased to be accomodated some 90 minutes early but maybe this should have warned us.The poppadums were of a good quality but the side tray was poor, and and to be charged £1.50 for a third of a raw onion was a nerve
The main courses were very average quality ,typically I would expect to pay no more than £6.00 for in a speciality area in London .The Sag Bhagee was like pureed food One meal failed to arrive and we had to wait whilst it was prepared. An extra paratha was ordered late in the meal but failed to arrive until .For a meal of very poor quality a charge well over £100 was excessive and to include a service charge contemptible.A return visit in not planned
Excellent food and service as far as value for money goes the meal and drinks were very reasonable .The staff were very polite and cared about the service they were giving
We have been to this restaurant since its opening. We live in Lowestoft and when we visit Glasgow we always visit the Indian Gallery. They make you feel special and recommend dishes that best suits yourself. I can't eat too hot a dish but they cook it to your liking. Nothing is too much trouble. Worth visiting you won't be disappointed.
We are not local to Glasgow so went on the quality of reviews. Indian gallery was a good pick. The food was good and there were good veggie options across the menu. Service was polite and helpful but not slick. The food wasnt a bargain. It didn't make a difference to the enjoyment of the evening however and we would go back when next in the area.
Great menu selection, service was very good and friendly staff.
We have often visited this restaurant for pre-theatre meals and have really enjoyed the food. We have always looked at the very extensive menu and planned to go for a relaxed meal. I'm glad we did. Most people at our table went for the Thali option as a way of trying three different dishes. The food was delicious. We all ordered different dishes and it came at the same time. Everyone was happy with their choices and really enjoyed their meals. The portion sizes were quite generous and I reckon we got much more in three Thali dishes, than you would have in a regular main course. Therefore, I had a delicious lunch the following day - courtesy of my doggie-bag. Mmmm!
this wasa my 3rd visit to the indian gallery and it was as superb as expected, food was delicious and lucky was attentitive and welcoming as always.
The food in the Indian Gallery on Sauchiehall Street is superb. Very flavoursome and authentic. The staff are very attentive and will explain the extensive menu to you if asked. We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions, both for dinner and as a quick pre-theatre meal. The Thali menu is great as you get to have three smaller dishes from the menu - it's a great way to try new dishes. We have never been disappointed, and will definitely be going back.
I enjoyed the comfortable dining experience and I definitely would recommend this place to try out. Finding car parking was bit of an issue but its usual during the weekend on Sauchiehall street.
I am questioning myself how I've never been here before, the service is very good and welcoming, the food was superb. We were glad that we had booked a table as the restaurant was full when we arrived, we were given a beautiful table by the window. I would definitely recommend that you try this restaurant! This was my first time in but it surely won't be my last.
Restaurant was empty when we arrived at 8pm which was a bit off putting. Quality of the food was good but very over priced (total bill for 3 = £110) - even with 20% discount, which looked like it was a permanent offer not exclusive to TT. House white (chenin blanc) was awful.
Without the TT offer I wouldn't eat here again
WE DINED AT THE INDIAN GALLERY IN GLASGOW LAST NIGHT AND AS USUAL THE STANDARD OF FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. THE STAFF ARE VERY ATTENTIVE BUT NOT IN YOUR FACE. IT IS LIKE VISITING RELATIVES AS WE HAVE BEEN SO OFTEN AND ARE MADE MOST WELCOME.
We dined at the Indian Gallery whilst on a weekend trip to Glasgow and although Indian cuisine is not usually our first choice, it was very good. The staff were very polite and friendly, the food was very good given the price of 2 courses including a bottle of wine for 2. Perhaps the chance to order some extras at the start might have been nice, the service was a little rushed when we arrived. As it was a Sunday it wasn't very busy and quite small inside compared to the photos on their website.
The Lovat Brasserie in Fort Augustus was a treat. We had excellent food, and the live music on Thursday night was a nice surprise, and the rhubarb cranachan was heavenly! It was a bit pricey, but a lovely place.
Very good Indian restaurant, Indian owner and staff. Maybe not quite as good as Tiffin Rooms, but pretty close, and they're open Mondays, and do home delivery.
The Indian Gallery was good - really nice food but even with the 20% off deal, the bill was still pretty hefty!
went to the Indian gallery in Glasgow and had a lovely meal only complaint was that we were sat close to the door and we were getting a draught every time someone came in for a table or a takeaway! However the staff tried their best to keep the door closed. Ordered the jingha prawns to start and priced at £7.50 i was expecting more than 3 prawns and a little salad, however they were really nice. Music was also a little too loud.
IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS SINCE WE DINED AT THE INDIAN GALLERY IN GLASGOW.
THE AMBIENCE AND FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING.
THE STAFF HAVE NOT LOST ANY OF THEIR CHARM AND ATTENTIVENESS WITHOUT BEING OBTRUSIVE.
WE SHALL BE BACK AGAIN IN THE EARLY NEW YEAR.
Indian Gallery very good food and very fast service
Took my mother here for some Mothers Day lunch and we had a great time, food was fantastic and service was good.
Overall the Indian Gallery in Glasgow was a very pleasant experience. The food was of a high standard and the staff very helpful. I would dine there again.
The Indian Gallery is an exquisite restaurant with a varied menu.
We have been many times and the quality and service never falters.
The prices reflect the excellent quality produced.
The Indian Gallery was quiet on a Wednesday evening but the food was excellent with some interesting dishes such as the monkfish tandoori which was very good.Pleasant atmosphere and the service was fine.
Indian Gallery, Glasgow.
On a cold saturday night the restaurant was not busy and the staff had a number of additional heaters working to lift the chill.
A standard range of dishes on offer and our selection were tasty.
The staff were attentive and welcoming.
The bill was reasonable.
Indian Gallery, Glasgow.
Small, friendly restaurant with helpful staff. Food was lovely (all 3 courses) and was well presented. We were given a 20% off voucher for our next visit. Recommended.
We had chosen a quiet time of day to have our meal to fit around our other plans. Dispite this we had a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly. We would not normally be in this part of Glasgow but now that we have been here we would come back soon!
What more can I say about the Indian Gallery as I have run out of superlatives.
The food is great, as is the atmosphere.
The prices are fair for the quality of food served.
We will be back again.
The Indian Gallery in Glasgow is a very convivial establishment where you are always made welcome. The menu is very varied and accommodates everyone's taste.
The staff are very attentive and take time to describe various items on the menu when necessary.
You are never rushed and are offered a break between courses.
The Indian Gallery in Glasgow was a pleasant first visti. Food was gorgeous, staff were friendly but not intrusive and even saved us getting a parking ticket. Definitely recommended - we'll be back !
The Indian Gallery, Glasgow came highly recommended. The location is not ideal by any means but the food more than makes up for it as well as the attentive but not overbearing service. The pakora, poppadoms were great for starters and the main courses delivered too. Definately will try again.
This is our fourth visit to the INDIAN GALLERY and as always the food was magic. We always get a very warm welcome as if we are old friends.
Indian Gallery, Sauchiehall Street: Great food with a "home made" feel. Very friendly and helpful staff.
