Excellent as usual.

A special occasion restaurant at it's finest. From the decor to the food and wait staff this is a special place. A comprehensive menu for everyone's taste and our large group tried many of the entrees and they were all well prepared and delicious. The wait staff was attentive without being over bearing. While the prices are slightly on the high side the overall dining experience makes it worth while.

Excellent food service and ambiance

This is an outstanding restaurant. The food is exceptional. The waiter staff is outstanding. It is an elegant experience. This is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just a romantic evening. There is a piano player that accompanies the dining. We always get dressed up to this restaurant. It feels right and fits in with the decor and staff dress.

This restaurant was amazing. My boyfriend and I went here for the first time on Wednesday for a date night. This was our first time here and it will not be our last. We loved everything. The decor, the live entertainment, and the food. For an appetizer I selected the meatballs and my boyfriend selected the antipast plate. The meatballs were delicious! I will definitely order these again, the anti-pasta plate was just OK - nothing special. For our dinner choices my boyfriend chose the crusted lamb chops and I chose the skirt steak. Both were delicious and marinated to perfection. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse cake and the cannoli. The cake was delicious, My cannoli was just OK. The service was outstanding. We would recommend this place to a friend.

Service seems to suffer when they are a little busy. Not enough waiters. Food is always great.

As always Il Capriccio does an outstanding job in both meal choice, preparation and presentation. The food is delicious and satisfies all tastes. The service is friendly and exceptional. The attention to detail is outstanding. Tony, the executive chef and owner mingles with the guests in the dining room making you feel truly welcome and at the same time keeping an eye on the dining room and the staff ensuring that everything is operating at peak efficiency.

Favorite restaurant in all of NJ! Food is nothing short of amazing. Quality. My favorite item is the Dover Sole, call ahead if you want to insure they have it. Sells out all the time. Now I call the day before and have them hold one for me. Table side presentation in itself is great too.

Il Capriccio is always a great night out for my wife and I. The staff is the best as is the wine and food. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My wife loves the short ribs and seafood and even though I am veterinarian, I am always accommodated. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I attended El Capriccio for our 20th anniversary celebration dinner. The staff was very friendly however quite frazzled throughout the evening. The flavors of the food were outstanding as always. His service was not as seamless as in the past.
However overall, experience was.

A restaurant does not get to be named a best NJ restaurant for more than 30 consecutive years without paying attention to detail. My friend and I meet here a few times a year since it is half way between us. We have done this for perhaps 20 years and never been disappointed. The service is simply first class and the food is off the charts good.

Lovely Upscale Italian with Good food, Great Service, and an ambiance that is reminiscent of late 70s early 80s vegas :) The short rib that a friend ordered was among the best I've ever had anywhere!

We love Il capriccio. It is our favorite restaurant in New Jersey. The food is fabulous every time we go. The staff are very friendly and treat us like family. We go back time and time again.

One of the best Italian experience in town. I have been there several times and the food and experience is consistently great.

We celebrated our anniversary with a quiet, delicious lunch while our kids were at camp. It was a beautiful atmosphere, fabulous food and an enjoyable time

We had the most magnificent stuffed veal chop, top with cheese and truffles. Best veal we have had in a long time, melted in your mouth, tender and flavorful, just delicious.

It was a great experience ! We sat at the (newly remodeled) bar for a drink prior to dinner. We requested a table outside, but before they sat us outside, they suggested we take a look to make sure that is where we wanted to sit. And thank goodness we did, as we much preferred the inside. Dinner was wonderful and the service was outstanding from the entire staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

We went for our daughters birthday. Manila was our waiter and we couldn’t have been happier. His knowledge, humor, attentiveness and efficiency made our dinner memorable. The food was first class . Definitely will be back.

The food is always fresh and well prepared. I had Jersey tomatoes and onion salad to start, a small bowl of pasta, and grilled red snapper with olives, clams and shrimp as my entree. Ice cream to finish.

Great wines, and one of the few places where you can trust them to “surprise” you with a great wine that’s not expensive.

I have been to Il Capriccio on the average four times per year over the last five years and it has been very good. However in the last couple of months in which I have been there twice it has gone from very good to excellent. This is an excellent restaurant.

The flavor and texture of the food is amazing, as is the wine selection.
Far better than other restaurants I have eaten at.
