Il Baretto Wine Bar and Restaurant
If you're looking for a super Italian cuisine and would like to avoid both chain restaurants and designer price tags, Il Baretto in Blandford Street is an excellent choice.
Located between Marylebone High Street and Baker Street, Il Baretto has a smart wine bar located on the ground floor and a cavernous basement dining room that is a stylish restaurant for group parties and celebrations.
Popular with a local crowd, as well as with tourists and shoppers from Bond Street, this restaurant serves up authentic Italian recipes and we love the spaghetti con astice with lobster, sweet chilli and garlic sauce, and the Maccheroni with black truffle. Pizzas and dishes from the robata grill are winners too.

The Greco di Tufo grape variety flourishes in the clayey volcanic soils found in the Province of Avellino where the D.O.C.G. is located. The aromas are complex with notes of white fruits, citrus and mineral intemingled and the palate is full, rich and suave with pure fruit as the backbone underpinned by a stoney minerality, making this a superb food partner
Vermentino di Sardegna shows crisp lines and sharp definition. The wine opens to a bright straw color with easy tones of citrus, stone fruit, lime, quince and white flower. Its silky texture is followed by fresh acidity and pretty layers of dried sage and herb

Riesling is low in alcohol, with high acidity, steely minerality, and stone fruit, spice, citrus, and floral notes. At its ripest it leans towards juicy peach and nectarine, and pineapple, while in cooler climes it is more redolent of meyer lemon, lime, and green apple. With age, Riesling can become truly revelatory, developing unique, complex aromatics, often with a hint of gasoline
The Batar by Querciabella is a great white wine from Tuscany, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc which are aged for 9 months in oak barrels. An aging that makes full bodied and intense, with nice notes of peach and melon alternating with spicy nuances. The taste is balanced and harmonious, and offers a bird's persistence

The lighting should be revisited, perhaps the decoration as well not as good as the food.
I am an Italian with a knack for cooking and they do really well most dishes, exceptionally well, and good produce qualities. The whole range from pizza to pasta and steak and starters, and good desserts.
The only disappointment is the calamari (too thin and not a fan of the panure) and the courgettes - it is a respectable version but many chefs in London make them lighter.
