Historic Revere Tavern
Our History: Dating back to 1740, this stone building, formerly called the "Sign of the Spread Eagle", was a "Stage Tavern". It was one of the better inns along the 62 miles of turnpike stretching from Philadelphia to Lancaster, and catered to the more prosperous class of travelers, providing him with accommodations suited to his means. Fine liquors and fine foods were served in generous portions to satisfy the hearty appetites generated by a long day in a rocking, jolting stagecoach. We continue that tradition!
Through the generations, the Revere Tavern has preserved this tradition of quality and abundance. Our family, the Cosgroves, have owned the property for over 54 years and we thank you for your business!

Wonderful service, friendly staff, great ambiance for a family get together. A top choice for us!
The food, service and ambiance was wonderful. It was my first time there and it was better than I expected.
We are also glad you enjoyed your meal! We look forward to your next visit.
First time, we loved the ambiance, it was quiet and we felt safe. The dinning room was large enough for our safety. The meals were more than we really want to eat and really good.
Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to your next visit.
Nice quiet evening with my wife and the food was great
We are so glad that you enjoyed your meal. We look foward to your next visit.
Always a great place to enjoy a great meal. Perfect for a dinner night with family and friends.
Thank you for your kind compliments. We look forward to your next visit.
We love the ambience especially when the fire is lit. The staff is all friendly and efficient. The food is delicious! What’s your favorite date spot when we are in town.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for being such a loyal customer.
Food was good but was warm at best. Prime rib was very good.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback.
Atmosphere was perfect. Staff was wonderful. Food was superb ! Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind review. We look for to your next visit.
A quality place to eat. The menu is fairly typical for a tavern, but the food is well prepared, the portions are generous and the prices are more than fair. Excellent service, too. and the atmosphere is comfortable.
Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate your business and support.
Great food and a super-great waitress. We will be back.
Thank you for your kind words. We will be sure to pass along your compliments to Bonnie.
I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. We shared the Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer, they were very good and I loved the Petite Filet Oscar. Service was well-timed and friendly.
Dinner was excellent. Had the salmon. Seared perfectly and the dill cream sauce definitely complimented it. Katrina, our server was professional, very cordial and most pleasant. So close to home. It's our Paradise Cheers! Love it!
Our family and staff love our customers! Thank you for your wonderful review and we thank you for all you do to support the Revere!!
We love this place! The bar area is so homey and cozy....sometimes we eat dinner in the bar area. We especially like the room across from the bar the best. The food is excellent. Was just there and had the amazing Mushroom Ravioli which was amazing and sinful. The pumpkin cupcake with a caramel center was to die for. You can't go wrong with The Revere Tavern........and of all things, it's in town of Paradise, PA!!!
On behalf of my family and our entire staff, thank you for your kind words! You have made my day!! We strive to do our best every shift and your review means the world to us! Tina
Service left a lot to be desired. The French onion soup was cold and had no flavor or onions in it. The rest of the meal of ok, way below expectations.
After I spoke to you about service and the french onion soup, I personally waited on you and your partner. You both told me you enjoyed your meals and left happy, so your review surprises me a bit. I would love for the both of you to come back when we are unmasked and can see our smiles. This is our family business and we take pride in our food and service. Tina
Historic tavern with great ambience and reasonable pricing, great service
Thank you for your wonderful review! My family and our staff appreciate your business and we hope to see you again! Tina
A fire in the fireplace would of been nice.It was a cool night.I was disappointed.Overall food was good.Onion soup and green beans were great. My steak was tasty but tough.
Thank you for your review. While we love to have the fireplaces on all the time, they actually omit quite a bit of heat so during the 70 degree days, we just can't light them.
Great service and food.
Have been going there for 33 years. The quality of the kitchen has been going down hill the past couple years. Not a fine dining restaurant anymore. They need to hire a better Chef or kitchen manager.
Food was excellent as was the service. Wasn’t thrilled to be in the “overflow” room as the ambience was that of a typical conference/banquet room. However, given the covid restrictions we understood and appreciated the space between tables. Will definitely be back!
Thank you for your review. Please make sure during your next visit that you make reservations as soon as you can to ensure the seating area of your preference.
Our party of 4 dined here before seeing the Magic Show nearby. Service and food were excellent. Only problem was not a proper amount of silverware at table. Had to ask for another fork after eating salad. Dining room was large and tables will spaced. However, if you want to enjoy the historical nature of the tavern, ask to sit in the old part of the tavern.
Thank you for your five star rating. Should you choose to visit us again during this "socially distancing time", please call for a reservation as soon as you can.
We always look forward to eating here because it is truly special. It would be a perfect place to go for an anniversary, birthday etc.
Thank you for the kind review! We look forward to your next visit.
The food was excellent the service was excellent . We ate outside because we haven’t eaten inside since COVID-19 was a little noisy by the road, But the food and the service canceled all that out would highly recommend
I will be sure to pass along your compliments to Sydney and our Chef. We look forward to your next visit.
I made my reservation 2 weeks in advance for a special occasion celebration requesting their best table in the beautiful dining room and when we arrived we were seated in their plain drab dining extension, very disappointed. Ths food was excellent, the service was very slow.
I have eaten here many times and am never disappointed. The menu is modified due to covid 19, but it is still has a good selection to choice from. There is both inside and outside dining. We ate inside since it was after the sun had set. The waitress was super friendly and efficient. Food is good value for the price.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We look forward to your next visit.
Wonderful, we loved our server Bonnie.
Thank you for your kind review. We will be sure to pass along your compliments to Bonnie our server.
Enjoyed our meal outside with COVID-19 precautions in place. Cameron was a wonderful server. Food was delicious. We’d definitely recommend this place.
Thank you so much for the kind review. We will pass along your compliments to Camryn. We look forward to serving you again soon!
the food was very good the staff were very good we had a very nice time
Thank you for your kind review! We look forward to your next visit.
Everything about the experience was awesome. We were greeted at the door, walked to our table - waitress was awesome, atmosphere was great. Food was totally delicious. Best Filet and crab dish I've ever had. What to Lancaster for about 1 hour 20 minutes to shop for the weekend. Will definitely go back just to eat dinner at Revere Tavern again.
Thank you for such a kind review! We look forward to your next visit.
We were seated right away for our reservation. The host was pleasant and attentive. Great variety of drinks. Food was awesome! Everyone had something different from scallops, shrimp, prime rib, and pasta. Delicious! Wait staff was pleasant and helpful! Excellent overall!
Always a favorite, but past visits always presented “dinner and a show” due to issues with either guests or service. Some patrons were obnoxious (loud or questionable behavior) and not the restaurants fault. Other times the kitchen couldn’t get their act together with long wait times.
This time all was well with the exception of Luke warm appetizer.
All ended well with a good meal and excellent service.
Thank you for your review. I will pass along your compliments to our servers.
All was great except that the service was slow compared to what I'm used to in NY
Thank you for your review. We do look forward to your next visit.
Great food, tables spaced for social distancing. Waitress was very attentive. Would definitely recommend
Thank you for your kind review! We will be sure to pass along your compliments to our staff.
They're doing a great job setting tables apart outside of solid social distancing, my pregnant wife and I felt safe. The food is phenomenal and a great value- we were pleasantly surprised! Very cool to note the history of this place and that it was once owned by the 15th President of the USA! Rob is a great server!
Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate the feedback and so glad you enjoyed your visit.
the french onion soup was great, but warm.
We ate there many years ago.
We had really great service and the food and drinks were perfect. Had to eat outside and got a bit cool, but very happy to do so to support restaurants that are able to get back open! Would definitely go back and recommend you give it a try. I look forward to going back when we can eat inside the historic section again!
We thank you so much for your support!
We've been there many times. Whenever we go to Lancaster PA, we make a point to have dinner there. Service, food and overall experience is oustanding.
Thank you for returning to see us at The Revere Tavern. We look forward to your next visit.
We had to eat outside. It was a cold night! The food was outstanding!
Thank you for the kind words regarding your visit. We look forward to your next visit. Don't forget to make your reservation the next time you come!
We make sure we eat here every time we visit Sights and Sounds. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is quiet but very friendly. I can’t wait to return in the near future
Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to your next visit.
Excellent food as always. We enjoy our birthday celebrations there with the amazing Salted Caramel Cupcake!
Thank you foryour five star rating! We appreciate your feedback. Those amazing cupcakes are actually from a local bakery called Sweet Shenanigans. Go see them in Intercourse, PA when you are in town again!
