the atmosphere had a good vibe, our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items in question, that was very helpful. I will definitely recommend to friends and visit again.
What a great high energy bar for a Friday Happy Hour with coworkers! Easily the best happy hour in Fort Lauderdale, they offer half off everything behind the bar! The bartenders were all locals, welcoming, friendly and very attentive! Highly recommend after work!
Nice place, upgraded bar food. Great to watch game as lots of TVs
Great time Sunday night for ITB. Can’t beat 1/2 price.
Great food also!
Excellent craft bar
Drinks were delicious
Very limited menu, nobody in our party wants to go back
Delicious, unique bites. Fun libations. Comfortable, casual atmosphere. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Was there for a preshow dinner Tuesday night. April 2nd. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 appetizers once waitress finally arrived. Place wasn’t that busy at 6:15. Waited quite awhile for drinks to arrive, appetizers NEVER arrived . Per waitress, were sent to wrong table . We reordered them, and ordered our main courses. Waitress returned awhile later saying kitchen didn’t remember our appetizer order and I guess the waitress couldn’t remember it as well. So it’s been a half hour and all we’ve had are 2 just ok drinks.
After a total wait of 45 minutes and receiving NOT A SINGLE item of food , we left.
That was our experience and obviously an extremely unpleasant one.
Want to add that during our wait, I received an email from Open Tsbke saying our reservation wasn’t used.. As we were sitting there getting hungrier by the second..
Service person was fine however our order was wrong and when it was corrected the food was freezing cold. I tried explaining our experience to the manager but he was not receptive nor reasonable about the entire situation. I say that because we were over charged for a round of drinks an I was told by the manager that it was my job to check the bill. Not sure if that’s a regular practice there??!!
We made a reservation for 6:15 so we could take our grandkids to a play two blocks away at 8:00. We arrived at 6:25 and were seated and our drink order was taken and served by a gracious young man. We ordered our food and then waited and waited. We complained to our waiter that we had a showtime to meet and he told us that so did the other tables. We asked to speak to the manager, who never came over. I finally got up , found the manager and complained. She said she would check on our dinners right then. In another ten minutes at 7:37 three of our four dinners arrived. The fourth never came. We ate what we could and left $40 on the table at 7:45 before we ran to the theater. Very disappointing.
We called when we knew we would be a few minutes late. Lots of traffic on 95 going south. They assured us it would not be a problem. When we got there, the place was quite empty. We advised that we had theatre tickets and have about one hour and fifteen minutes. We got our food twenty minutes before we needed to leave. Hamburger, salad, margarita pizza-nothing fancy.
We went for a mid-morning breakfast and were disappointed. No jelly or butter for the toast, no maple chicken sausage that’s listed in every breakfast option on the menu. No green tea. The food we were served was properly seasoned and well prepared, so a mixed bag.
Even at that hour it was very noisy, with house music making table conversation virtually impossible. As we were leaving the lunch crowd was wandering in and there were lots of drinks on the tables. My guess is drinking (alcohol) is more important than eating at Himarshee’s. Next time we’ll look for a restaurant more focused on serving food.
Food was really great as was the service. It was a really loud.
The food took a while in the kitchen and arrived lukewarm, which is terrible for a steam (my wife and I both had the tenderloin). Pluse we ordered the steak medium and it came out medium-rare.
On the positive side, my son liked his wings and the cocktails were good. After 9 pm, a fairly loud group of drinkers (guys and gals) came in it transitioned into a nightclub at that point. While I would go back to give them another change...my wife proclaimed “never again.”
We went here for dinner before a show at the Performing Arts Center, hoping it would become our new go-to place. It will not. Between the blasting music and the dozen TV's, the noise level was so high we couldn't hold a conversation. Appetizers were good, but entrees were just fair. Given the early hour, we got Happy Hour pricing, which helped, because this place isn't a great value for what you get. We probably will not return.
My partner and I came out to Himmarshee Public House to unwind for Friday Happy Hour. Theres a cozy more intimate small bar on the side we chose to sit at. We were pleased to find out that Happy Hour is a generous and simple 50% off everything behind the bar! The menu is seasonal and supports other local businesses so we tried tried the fresh fish sandwich, vegetarian ramen, crab bites, margherita flatbread and ahi tuna wontons. The bartender explained how the cocktail menu is similar in how the craft cocktails use premium spirits and although they took a little time to create- well worth the wait! The service was warm & welcoming and outstanding! Highly recommend for anyone in this area! We'll be back this Friday.
Went to Himmarshee Public House before performance of Hamilton.
My wife and I ordered the Pad Thai and a grilled fish sandwich.
Both were excellent.
Food delivered promptly giving us plenty of time to get to the theater in time.
Our waiter TJ was excellent.
Would definitely go back again.
Restaurant was great! Service was awesome and we were there for happy hour which had all drinks and numerous appetizers at half price. Will definitely go back.
This place really disappointed me on so many different levels. I came here for my 30th birthday and ended up in tears. Ther service was awful, my husband and I were not greeted for at least 20 minutes. Then the service was extremely slow. The food was less than adequate. We had the brussel sprouts as well as the ahi tuna wontons. The ahi tuna wontons were not awful, but not great. This was obviously put on the menu to make them seem trendier. The we shared pork belly taco which were DISGUSTING. Served at room temp and the tortillas were plain ol' flour tortillas that hadn't even been warmed. The beer selection was pretty good. My husband quite enjoyed the beer he had. However, this place did not meet anyone of my expectations. At best, this would be a good pre game place or a good place to watch a game and only ordering beer.
We wanted to grab a bite before the theatre but also catch some playoff football. Menu was above average and more creative than your typical bar. We ordered a few appetizers and a few entrees to split between 4 people. Entree portions were large. Drinks were a bit overpriced but that was OK. Our waitress was exceptional - friendly and attentive. She offered a discount for theater-goers that we were unaware of. Nice touch!
We went to eat a bite before we saw Hamilton at the Broward Center and were very disappointed. Our waitress was as inattentive as they come, we had to flag other wait staff to get anything we needed after she initially came to the table to take the drink order. The food was mediocre at best. We will not go back again.
New menu is awful
I’ve been here several times and usually for lunch. This time, they were out of several items and ingredients and so multiple items on the menu were not available. Otherwise, the food was very good And our server today went over and above.
We have eaten at Himmarshee before and had a pleasant experience. This time, however, the service was especially slow. We arrived at 5:15 (with a reservation). Our food order was taken 10 minutes after we were seated, but 40 minutes passed before our food arrived. Do not go there if you're in a hurry. We came early because we were going to the Broward Center and didn't want to rush through our meal. We came away disappointed with the experience.
We found the music very loud along with all of the sports on TV.
Couln’t have a conversation.
Very convenient to the Broward Performing Arts Center with attractively priced happy hour food and drinks.
Our waiter Michael was very good, but we unfortunately were there at a time when the kitchen was in the weeds. Our appetizer of crispy brussel sprouts came out quickly, but lacking seasoning. Our entrees, a classic burger and a fish sandwich, took over 45 mins to arrive. The fish sandwich was missing starter sauce, and the burger missing bourbon onions (ordered as an extra). When the onions came they were cold, which was not what one would expect since marinated onions are usually served warm. Not sure if we will return.
Pretty load since it was game time, but great food and good beer although it could have been colder beer than it was.
Food was good. Our server, Christine, was exceptional. Convenient to Broward Center.
Awesome UCF Bar!! Thanks for the great time Friday night!!
14 people for dinner. Most dishes
Came out wrong and had to be re-done. Would never return
Public House is a fun local bar and restaurant. we had the smoked chicken salad for dinner. It was generous and very delicious. Good service and fun environment. and ladies night the women drink for very little.
Every time we’ve been it’s always been a great time. This time we actually bought our Father with us but for some health issues needed to excuse himself for a moment. The staff was kind enough to allow us to move our car closer (in front of the restaurant loading zone so that we good keep an eye on him while we waited on food so that we wouldn't have to worry. We enjoyed a quick drink & snack and was on our way. Thank you again to the staff for being so kind and understanding. Will definitely go back!!
Justin was great and the burgers were very good however the thump-thump music (and the bar flies screaming) were so loud we couldn’t hear our server or each other. Conversation was almost impossible and I left w a headache. Maybe good for late night dance thing but too loud for dinner.
came here for the first time after a graduation at the broward center and was surprisingly delighted. the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing! our party had the tuna wonton, mac & cheese and goat cheese quesadilla appetizers and burgers - everything was delicious! the atmosphere was loud because it was late saturday night and about to turn into a club, but that’s expected. i will definitely return when i’m in the area again.
Great food, service and atmosphere! I’ll definitely go back the next time I’m in Ft Lauderdale
Very loud. No atmosphere.
Met friends there prior to the Theater at BCPAC. Our server Chardonay greeted us quickly and was very good at her job. Appetizers were great, especially the Brisket Nachos. The main courses took a while (we were told 25 minutes, but took closer to 35). Pork Chop and Chicken entrees were very good although vegetables were burned. Sandwich and Salad entrees were just okay. Restaurant is very casual, gear more for a bar crowd. There is not much ambiance unless you are looking for the late night bar environment. Bathrooms were not well maintained.
It was an unfortunate visit because everything we ordered or inquired about on the menu was not available or had changed. The music was very loud; it was hard to have a conversation and we were sitting outside. We ordered Florida Mules and weren’t told until the bill arrived that that drink also wasn’t on the menu anymore, but they made it anyway. The goat cheese quesadilla was good. The chicken croquettes were ok, but very bland and do not come with a black garlic aioli as the menu states. The millionaire cheesesteak was tasty, but the bread was a little stale. Husband ordered the bbq brisket sandwich. It was ok, nothing great. We chose this location because we were seeing a show at the Broward Center and it was a convenient walk. Next time we’ll make the drive farther away if it means a better experience worth the money. This was not the case at Public House.
I was so excited to go to the restaurant and looked forwarded to eating the Southern Fried Chicken, with honey maple syrup. however, all of that was spoiled, as I visited the restaurant, they fried my chicken in burnt grease, that needed to be changed. Also the chicken itself was completely burnt, that was served to me.
It turned a great day into one that was just ok., as I came famished, but my meal just didn't cut it that night.
My server Shardonayy went above and beyond for me and I didn’t even tell her that I was there for my birthday til the very end. If I had to type everything perfect about the service it wouldn’t fit. It was amazing and I’ll be coming back again for sure
