Delightful meal with beautiful view and wonderful staff. Owen was a great waiter.!
Amazing view of the city.
We took an elderly friend for lunch. We were treated with patience, a friendly smile, respectful listening and attentive service. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The view was spectacular. Thank you!
Great view, and the service was very good. Food was average and uninspired. The room is looking dated. Comfortable chairs should be a minimum given the top end prices.
Wow. Can’t believe this spot is sooo close. Amazing views people n food
The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking! This restaurant is 100% class! Food was outstanding as well as the service. Simply amazing!
We wanted to treat our friends from Atlantic City to an amazing view and delicious food. Boy did we score points with them. Perfect in every way.
Very classy restaurant, high level of service and quality dishes. Spectacular city view.
Not happy about getting a table with a bad location when we booked well in advance and telling us the 6 or so available tables with a better location are not available Seems like it depends on who makes the reservation
Went here for a small family celebration. Service was excellent...we all enjoyed the appetizers as well as the entrees...You can not beat the view. Thank you Highlawn!
Fabulous restaurant with special views. Lovely place for friends. And fine with a child.
Lovely view very good food presented beautifully. Quietest Restaurant ever!
My husband and I came to Highlawn Pavilion for our 31st wedding anniversary. It was rainy Wednesday on 08/28/2019. We chose the upscale dining for our special day, but....The service (waiter) was not attentive to our needs. He brought a mineral water which was frozen and tried to pour it in our glasses. Instead of bringing another bottle which was not frozen, he shook this bottle in our faces trying express some liquid from it. When we finish our drinks, the waiter took empty glasses without offering another drink. The whole service was lacking high class. We felt like we were sitting in a diner with a waiter shoving the dishes. The food was delicious, but the waiter spoiled the whole impression. It was a huge disappointment.
Service was great, got the drink order perfect, steak was over done
The Highlawn Pavillion is always a special place for us. We love it but only get there a few times a year because it is a 40 minute drive from our home.
I loved it. Really classy, hubby said it was the best steak he ever had!
We went for a birthday dinner and sat outside on the patio. It is such a lovely atmosphere, overlooking the NYC skyline, at sunset.
As always, the service and food are wonderful. We combined some appetizers from the bar menu with specials for the evening. Everything from oysters to pork spring rolls to a huge veal chop and an excellent swordfish. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Service is always excellent.
Prices are high, wine selection excellent but expensive, but we felt it was worth it for a dinner with no regrets, where we couldn't have asked for anything better.
The food and ambiance never disappoints here! We were a party of 9 and did not care for our server. He seemed bothered and to have an attitude. We asked the maitre’d if it’s possible to have a separate check (2 of us from the rest of the table), he said ‘no problem’. Then our waiter said it can’t be done. That was frustrating because it kind of spoiled a few things for us.
I wish the service was better!
The service waa odd. Neither the manager nor the waitress had any people skills. They haven't smiled even once. Nobody offered or mentioned any specials of the day. The waitress behaved like we constantly bothered her.
Plus the food was bad.
Beautiful Magical restaurant! The food was really good. The view of the New York skyline from the restaurant’s window was awesome!!!
We love Highlawn. We got married here. We celebrated our birthdays here and we go to dinner with friends here every few months.
Food is wonderful. The view is beautiful. Service is always good.
The view from the terrace was very nice. Spraying for bugs might be considered. I expected more from the food. Every dish needed salt. The paella risotto was watery and lacking any pop of flavor. The lobster and crab salad was flavorless and I had to hunt to find lobster. We wanted the fish special but they ran out. The halibut was delicious with the sauce, but contained ONE cut up fingerling potato. Not sure corn and peas were the right choice for garnish. Especially not for a 42$ dish. The wagyu Reuben had very little beef on it and looked like something from Panera although tasted good. Lastly we ordered 2 glasses of 17$ wine. A quarter of a glass of wine, in any restaurant, is unacceptable. The wine was no more than a 10$ bottle judging by taste. At least fill the glass half way. Our waiter was amazing and took care of us like family. Atmosphere was excellent and very lively. Unfortunately the food was less than expected for a restaurant that is “considered” top 1% in the country.
EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT FOOD. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED!
We've eaten at Highlawn Pavilion a number of times. The food is consistently good. The views of New York on a clear day are great! The service is very nice. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience.
We were married there and had our reception there 24 years ago, and go back 2-3 times a year and never have been disappointed.
Highlawn Pavilion is a real jewel. Very elegant and excellent ambiance.
Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and it was an outstanding evening.
From the valet guys who were polite and very quick to our waiter Guillermo who was outstanding.
My hats off to the chef and his staff our dinner was superb! Thank you.
We’ve been there for special occasions many time over the last several year. The food and service are always top notch. My only disappointment is that, contrary to previous visits, the clientele seemed to have gotten more casual. I seem to recall, patrons would dress as if they were out to a special place in the past. Btw, our waiter, Owen was great.
The best lamb chops my wife ever had. The filet melted in your mouth. Oysters were amazing.
Very good service and the ambiance is great. I requested a seat by the window and they gave us a table overlooking the Manhattan skyline on a gorgeous night.
Very good food and chef accommodated our dietary needs
Did not like the sitting area provided. Felt like get to the back of the bus. Wanted to showcase the restaurant for its great view but was denied this. The sitting marginalized the view.
Wonderful experience..., dining on the patio was a special treat.
Great service, food was just ok.
Appetizer portions were small because they were so good that we wanted more! Staff was very attentive, accommodating and friendly.
Have not been here in a while. I thought the food was mediocre and just average. The facility was not very clean, they have valances on the windows overlooking the NyC skyline and the dust was thick on them.
It seems the attraction is simply the view. I think there are better choices and if you want a view of NYC the reservation is free to visit and the views from outside are spectacular and free. Disappointing experience
Never disappointed when we dine here, the food and presentation, the view, the service (Carlos) is consistently wonderful.
My wife and I went for dinner after hearing all the amazing reviews. The appetizers, entrees, and dessert were amazing including all of the waiters and waitresses
My husband and I enjoyed our food and the wine, 2 glasses of sauvignon blanc, was great. My husband had what I called a "Flintstone-sized" steak, and I had chicken served with a corn puree, corn kernels served over a brown sauce and a piece of bacon. My dish was very light and tasty. I also had a cup of Italian International Coffee, which was delicious, and for dessert, we had peach cobbler crumble served with a vanilla ice cream. Because it was our anniversary, the restaurant put a candle in our ice cream. Service was also amazing, our two servers, Carlos and Chedar, were on point with the service, making sure that we were enjoying our dinner and serving us well.
