It is so good and the service is really nice！
Also the food tasted well especially the lobster
Great food and service, but a poor room with indifferent lighting.
Everything was perfect. Both food and service were outstanding.
Special thanks go to Mattia for making our experience at the Connaught unique.
Quite outstanding. The food and the ingredients were quite superb. Wonderful service but there was no pomposity which one normally associates with establishments like this. Wonderful
It’s a very good restaurant but
Well, we can see her challenge to UMAMI with her vision. But sorry to say , it is too simple and as Japanese who knew UMAMI well, we felt she hasn’t really got how UMAMI works for foods.
We expected something new chemistry between French and UMAMI.
So it was a bit disappointed, sorry to say.
But the service was comfortable and wine were marvellous.
After all, we really enjoyed our experience. Thank you.
Delicious food, professional and courteous service. Overall an enjoyable lunch
Some touches of class but generally not up to the standard of it's peers.
Firstly credit where credit is due. Being able to customise your own menu of 5 or 7 courses of your choice is a fantastic concept and it was really enjoyable plotting a way through the menu. Then the food is very good - but without being mind blowing.
The overall experience leaves you feeling a little short changed however. The service was surprisingly inattentive - after some confusion on arrival we then waited 10 minutes for anyone to bring us a wine list, water, anything! There were some nice touches but too many long waits for anyone to come by. It felt over priced as well. At nearly £500 for two for dinner and drinks I would far prefer to spend that at Core, The Ledbury, Marcus, etc. where I feel you get more "wow" for your money.
Everything was impeccable. Ambiance, setting, service, food, drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. It is obviously not cheap but it’s worth it.
Outstanding meal!! Excellent service and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.
While some of the food was excellent - crab, venison and foie gras, the dry hake and so-so baba disappointed
We went on a Friday night and couldn’t get a seat in the bar for a pre-dinner drink, which didn’t befit the five star experience
The menu was innovative, with amazing produce, and promised a lot. However look out for the hefty supplements...
The final disappointment was the newly renovated room. We were not fans of the peachy colour scheme and lighting was on the bright side
So while there were high spots the experience did not match the price tag
Definitely not worth the time or money. Service was inconsistent, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Food was nothing special and the supplementary costs for dishes were outrageous.
It was an incredible experience. The food and the service were both amazing. One of the highlights of a recent trip to London.
One of the best propositions in town for a classy business lunch if you go for the set menu.
Flawless service and particularly creative wine solutions for pairing with the food.
This is a treat, the neighbourhood is magnificent, if you make a mistake and instead of turning right after the entrance in the hotel, one turn left, no worry, you are also in good hand at Jean Georges...
This two star Michelin is all you may expect from a restaurant of that level, superlative delicacy in the food and service, the wine list is a dream, I had a glass of Montrachet, one of Yquem, an Egon Muller white, a Charmes-Chambertin from David Duband, a Dominus from the Napa and a Vouvray Haut-Lieu from Huet... all superbe! I decided to have truffle only in the best restaurants, the others try to fool you with second choice or fake truffle with no taste or smell... this is not the case here, they serve generous shavings of strong flavoured Tuber. One of the very best meal of the year! I really enjoyed the very polite, skill full and distinguished service, in French, without being obsequious.
very sweaty and Warming service for us, today is my birthday and I received a birthday cake from there
A firm favourite which never fails to please. Refurbished since our last visit with a modern look (not sure if it's really an improvement, but it's a matter of taste. Food and service remain impeccable, and if you stick to the lunch menu (even with supplements) it is excellent value.
Amazing diner for my boyfriend 50. it was a very sweet evening in a very quiet place in London.
Lovely room, absolutely top notch service, actual choices on the menu so everyone doesn’t have to have the same thing, excellent food.
Very nice food and lovely setting. We experience three Michelin starred restaurants in the one week and compared and contrasted. The food was what you would expect from a two star but the value was not and it was a little annoying that certain dishes carried a fairly hefty supplement. No dish was outstanding, not even the signature dessert which I have to say was a fairly ordinary rum baba! We were also slightly put out that we did not have a matched wine that was advertised on the menu and another lower grade wine was put in its place. Also we were not offered wine at all for one dishes despite the fact we would have been happy to pay so all in all not great service either but everyone was pleasant.
Came to the restaurant for my mom and aunts first visit to London. Did not disappoint! Food, presentation, and service was spectacular. The added bonus was that a fully vegetarian set menu was available for my mom which gave her a lot more options. Planning to be back for special occasion situations
This was our second visit. The first one, a couple of years ago, was remarkable. This time, however, service was sloppy, and the experience, overall, not as exciting. They should try a bit harder, for the prices they charge.
Good, as always, is outstanding. The recent refurbishment has been done tastefully and is an improvement.
We went for the set lunch menu which is excellent value for money. Fingers crossed this changes on a monthly basis
An amazing dining experience with some of the best food I have tried for a while. Make sure you order the grouse as it was my knockout dish of the night! Doubt I’ll be able to return anytime soon as it is very expensive but hopefully one day I’ll get to relive the wonderful evening I had there.
As always, the experience is perfect: seamless non-fawning service, wonderful amuses bouches that really set the tone for an unforgettable meal. We chose the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing that was beautifully prepared and presented with the right balance of seasoning.
I do not like things over-salted, which for me shows a lack of palate on the part of the chef and they always get it right. The wines served were delicious too so the whole lunch was joyous - what more is there to say ... just book!
Good pleasant service
Food is well presented and delicious
Outstanding lunch menu, wonderful friendly service and delightful dishes - excellent value for money for the quality.
The restaurant is different from the previous time we were there following their refurbishment. As we were a party of 8, we had to go with the 5 course tasting menu, which limited our choice of dishes. The crab and foie gras were delicious, but the main dish was only a choice of lobster tail or cod. Not many chose the lobster because of the hefty surcharge, and those who selected the cod found it rather fishy and perhaps not as fresh as one would expect from this class of restaurant. Many of the party were not keen on the sweetbread as the 4th course and would have preferred something else. The nice touch was that there were many additional ‘tasters’ from the amuse bouche served. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were careful with the allergies of a member in the party. One problem was that the waiting staff kept opening and topping up our water without asking, resulting in 10 bottles of water for the evening being opened and charged, in addition to our bottles of wine.
Delicious evening! The place is charming, the food amazing and the art de la table delightful. Thank you for such a great experience!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in London. This time we went back & discovered the ambience & table setting has changed to be more casual though they still offer fine dining. Dish presentation was still very elegant & eye-catching. I was particularly impressed by their amuse bouche. Crab meat appetizer was excellent. Foie gras was well cooked but I personally not keen on the crunchy crust on the surface. Turbot was good, tender & rich in flavors. The grouse was something new to me & I had to say this dish was least impressive to me. Again the 5-course menu was good value & high quality but the wine pairing again was too expensive for the wines being served. Services here were terrific though!
A stunning meal in a beautiful restaurant. The staff were utterly charming. Can’t wait to come again
Absolutely fabulous dining experience. A taste sensation in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend the lunch menu/offer. We will definitely be going back!
Dear HollyH, It is truly delightful to read your kind words about your experience with us. From myself and the entirety of our team we very much look forward to welcoming you back on many more occasions in the future. Kindest regards, Mirko Benzo Restaurant Manager Hélène Darroze at The Connaught
My husband and I have been several times here. We had the set lunch menu which was very good overall. The wines included were ok but not great. The lobster starter and rhubarb dessert were lovely. The main gurnard dish had a meaty tasting jus which we were not keen on as we don’t eat meat. Service was efficient and friendly.
Dear Wild44, I would like extend my gratitude to you for taking the time to write about your lunch with us. Please be assured that we have taken your comments on board in regards to the wine and it shall be discussed within our team. I truly hope that you and your husband will allow us the pleasure of having you join us again in the future. Kindest regards, Mirko Benzo Restaurant Manager Hélène Darroze at The Connaught
The set menu includes wine pairings but they were a little disappointing. I would rather pay less for the food and choose my own wines.
Food was stunning however and lots of lovely treats from the kitchen.
Sublime food and service . The selection of wines and spirits is sensational. A memorable dining experience.
I choose the discovery menu 5 courses and fifty percent of the items where extra payment and choices were limited
Total bill came to 940 pounds for 2 people with one bottle of champagne and 3 cocktails
I’m a regular eater in London’s best restaurants and my normal bill is 300-400 pounds on the high side so for me this is first and last time visiting this restaurant
Also I was surprised how empty the restaurant was compared to others and I suppose now I know the reason
The food was terrible - very high salt content
