For meat lovers amazing quality of products
Decent fillet steak , very tender and given the quality is so good, it’s reasonable value for money Sides very good including the fried eggs which were perfectly cooked. Sirloin steak had good flavour but slightly tough. Tables for two are way too close together, so that it’s impossible not to hear conversations on adjoining tables and truly unpleasant when a waiter was clearing other tables and his backside protruded across our table.
My mine gripe centred on paying the bill. I paid in cash and was treating my guest so discretely slipped the cash into the bill folder. Waiter then came along and opened the folder on the table in front of my guest and proceeded to count the cash out loud and very deliberately place each note down on the table. Bill came to around £172 including service. I placed £180 in the folder. I would normally be happy to leave the extra £8 as an additional tip, if I was happy with the service, but that should be at my discretion . I certainly shouldn’t be asked if I want my change as I was by our waiter with his tone implying that to say Yes’ would be miserly on my part.
Have always enjoyed hawksmoor on Air Street but can’t see I would ever go back to Shoreditch .
This is my third Hawksmoor, first Air Street, then Seven Dials and then Spitalfields.
The food is always delicious.
The cocktails scrummy.
The 2 course set menu with a cocktail is £30 and worth it.
Perfect steak, great atmosphere, great service. Steaks are not cheap but you get what you pay for which is amazingly good food.
Cozy, laid back chophouse with delicious food.
The food and service was good but we were disappointed to find out Sunday Roast was no longer offered. We had been looking forward to the sides. Instead, we were up-sold very expensive steaks (950gram bone-in ribeye). The gin ordered was not available so we were given a less expensive gin but still charged for the higher price and didn’t notice until after we left. Overall, left with the feeling that we had been taken advantage of both with the steaks and the gin. Was good food but we will not be returning nor recommending this place to our friends.
My parents came to visit and we went there on a recommendation and it was unbelievable. The sunday roast was easily the best roast I’ve ever had - the flavours were incredible and good portion sizes!
Food was amazing, definitely returning for a Sunday roast
The Sunday lunch at Hawksmoor Spitalfields was very satisfying.
We booked a few days before and the reception was wonderful, the staff friendly and welcoming but above all the meal was delicious. We ordered the Sunday roast, they presented us with a dish of meat accompanied by vegetables, roast potatoes in a Yorkshire pudding and sauces. Yummy!
As always you look after your clients and your staff
Very busy, food was ok - great starter, chewy sirloin; £45 bottle of Malbec was not great, incredibly garlicky kale, super tasty Mac & cheese. Service ok, toilets awful. V expensive for an ok dining experience, was disappointed & wouldn’t go back.
Great food as ever. And great staff - attentive but not overly so.
I was just annoyed by the noise - very hard to have a conversation. So wouldn’t recommend it for a special date or business meeting. Was there in the evening and by the bar so it may be that lunchtime and different table position (for example at the back of the restaurant) works better for those occasions.
A really great experience. The food is quite expensive, but it is incredible quality. The staff were all knowledgeable and welcoming.
Absolutely flawless! Not the cheapest but wholly value for money plus an all round great experience
Great service. Best we had in London by far during our stay. Good food, carpaccio was tender, the porter house cut were amazing, only small minus was my sirloin that was abit too close to well done instead of medium. But all in all a very nice experience, can only recommend.
The overall atmosphere and experience was great, the food and service were amazing. I did not rate their cocktails from their new cocktail menu though.
Fantastic roast dinner, so so tasty! Will definitely be going back soon. It was quite noisy in there but that's not the restaurant's fault.
Been wanting to try the Sunday roast here for a while and at last we did. It was pretty good, not as good as a home cooked one (but then they never are!). ‘Roast’ potatoes were deep fried, the meat was delicious. It was lovely and buzzy and is definitely my favourite Hawksmoor. The salted caramel rollos are the best thing ever. One of the very few places that accepts open table dining cheques (though I always call ahead to check to save embarrassment).
Very attentive staff and nice atmosphere, I dined with my kids and it was really nice
Lovely lunch. Took my uncle and his friend here to celebrate a birthday and the steaks were amazing. The waitress was lovely and we loved the laid back atmosphere. Quite quiet too which was good. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
We loved it! The staff were lovely and super welcoming. Highly recommend the cocktails and the food was delicious.
The best steaks I’ve ever had! And service was outstanding.
Fabulous lobster and steak, with good selection of wine by the glass
Our waiters were more than accommodating. They supplied us with knowledge on what we were eating and drinking and enjoyed every bit! The birthday surprise was a treat also!
I would recommend this restaurant for its steaks, but the scallop starter was very average
its a noisy, busy place which is fine but a little expensive for want it really is, which is a steak house
The food was amazing. The lady serving us was so friendly and couldn't do more to help us! Its the second time I've eaten here and I'd come back in a heartbeat! I would definitely recommend.
Service was complete rubbish. Waited over 45 minutes after asking for the check. Waiter took a bathroom break before finally bringing us our check. Awful service. Food is great.
Service was flawless, outstanding even. We got everything we wanted the way we wanted it, with a smile. Attentive without being intrusive - always a hard balance to get right. Thank you, looking forward to next time.
Prefer the other Hawlsmoor locations, Spitafields is too small, crowded, you are closer to the other person's date than you are to yours...
The steak are nicely cooked. The chip is ok. Some of the sauce do run out in the Sunday evening!! It’s a bit disappointing. The staff are friendly and looking after us really well
Great wine, food and service. My first visit to a Hawksmoor and I dont know why it's taken me so long.
It wont be long before I'm back.
Portion size awful. Had way less than usual
Not too many better ways to celebrate a birthday than with a Hawksmoor Sunday roast, was really top notch!
A wonderful birthday meal! The meat was some of the best steaks we have ever eaten! Outstanding!
The food was amazing, the wine was delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you!
Early Birthday dinner for me with my cousin . Nice catch up time, rarely possible so we enjoyed it very much. Food was very good, my favourite was dessert. I’m a dessert woman, peanut shortbread yummy! If you like nuts I definitely recommend. Staff were good, attentive enough.
Celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday at this fantastic restaurant. We had a table of 11 and the set menu. The food was above spectacular and the whole evening was amazing. Thank you so much Hawksmoor.
Just fantastic all around. The Full Fat Old Fashioned alone is worth the visit.
Fabulous as ever
The best roast dinner I’ve ever had!
(And the ‘Champagne Charlie’ cocktail was a-maz-ing!)
