It was all great... except the Yorkshire Pudding must have sat under a heat lamp too long for it was dried out and a little burnt tasting! Everything else with the meal was fantastic and the service from the reception to the hostess to the waiter and Somm was brilliant!!! Liking forward to visiting Hawksmoore again!!!
Table of four, three of us had the roast lunch and the 4th a Ribeye. The roast lunch was good although not the best, tasty veg and delicious rump- just not enough of it. The Yorkshire pudding was dried out, hard and a let down. We also ordered sides of cauliflower cheese ( very bland) and creamed spinach( average). Our friend however LOVED the ribeye, cooked to perfection and tasted great. Food envy much? Service was alright, not bad. Might give it another go but can’t say we were Wowed.
Great experience as usual at Hawksmoor: delicious food, great service, nice setting, what more can you ask for? The Sunday roast is delicious!
Pleasant and comfortable ambient atmosphere even its located underground. The staff were amicable and approaching. Food was delicious and fantastic. Recommended and would book again for sure.
Celebrating my son’s 21st birthday. Staff looked after us extremely well from when we arrived super-early and had a few drinks in the bar to our attentive waitress in the restaurant. We didn’t have to ask for anything. They paid attention and brought regular replenishments of water and brought food promptly but not in a hurried manner.
The porterhouse steak that we shared was excellent and my smoked salmon starter (thick cut slices) was beautiful. A most enjoyable dining experience.
Cedrick made the evening really special. Superb steak lovely ambience
We got a before-show meal with my young kids, and it was great. We didn't need to use the pre-show menu but unfortunately didn't get to have a leisurely meal as I wish we could have. The atmosphere was great, and they have a very nice bar and cocktail selection. My only ding is that the menu, while large and quality, didn't have anything very exciting.
The only reason I gave this 3 stars rather than a higher rating was because we ordered hamburger and got rump steak. I asked for well done and it came medium well done. I don’t know how hamburger and rump steak can be confused?! Something to do with the waitress?
Apart from this the restaurant was lively, the welcome good and everything else okay.
Food was exceptional and so were the drinks! Thank you
Excellent, supportive service for food allergies. We had a lovely time.
Very relaxed atmosphere, excellent service but not intrusive, food was fantastic and the chefs seemed to be having a good time cooking it, liked the fact we were given jug of tap water and our glasses were constantly refilled, friendly staff very well trained who made the meal a really pleasurable experience.
If I came here again, I would just have a cocktail and dessert, which were good. The unnecessarily odd food and snobbish service were not worth the hefty prices.
Beautiful food, brilliant service & great atmosphere
Great experience, Tristin was fantastic! For some Tennessee guys from the states, it was good beef, and reasonable prices for the quality....try the puddings for dessert!
Very good food. It’s my third visit and been always superb. Prices a little bit too high.
Great food. Super loud environment.
The place is absolutely stunning, it is light very dimly and creates a lovely ambience. I went for my birthday and loved every course, the service was great. I unfortunately didn’t get our waiters name but they were very helpful and really knowledgeable with what we were after when it came to wine. The Peanut Butter Shortbread was an absolute winner for me! I will definitely be back again!
Really enjoyed dinner at Hawskmoor with my friend, service was friendly yet professional and our porterhouse steak absolutely delicious! We were sat on a table right next to the wine cellar and felt well taken care of throughout the night. It wasn’t my first dinner there and definitely won’t be the last! Truly recommend.
We had a fantastic meal, food was really good and so was the service. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, wine and company. The blackboard steaks were exceptional
The food was fantastic, from starters thru dessert.
We chose this restaurant based on the reviews.
We found the food to be extremely heavy.
The Lobster with the surf and turf was very salty and not edible.
The steak was pretty good, but not very juicy. I ordered medium rare and it came out medium. I did not return it because we were tired and did not want to wait.
The mac and cheese was good, a bit dry but good.
We asked 3 people for butter for the sweet potatoes, and only got it when our sweet waitress found out we had asked the server who delivered the good, as well as our main waiter.
Not a repeat for us when we are in London!
Enjoyed a lovely evening, great venue, great food, will be back again soon .
Despite the wonderful ambience and very attentive staff, the main reason we went was for the steaks. But both my husband and my steaks were tough and chewy. We both left most of it. Really disappointed as Hawksmoor had been highly recommended as the best steak house in London.
It was good food! Great atmosphere! They treated us well and went above and beyond.
This was my first Sunday roast in a restaurant. I am SO glad it was at Hawksmoor. From the moment I entered to the moment I left the service was impeccable. My server raced [literally] to the kitchen to ensure I got the last roast order. He also recommended a perfect accompanying wine to go with my meal. The roast was perfectly pink, juicy and delicious. The veg was delightful. The pudding was huge [according to my Yorkshire neighbors], but full of air and fluffy. The gravy.....wow. I had two servings it was that good. The atmosphere was homey, the noise level was moderate, I was in casual attire and didn't feel out of place. Overall, I would highly recommend Hawksmoor Seven Dials. I only came for the roast, but I'll be back to try more on the menu!
Based on great reviews about the Sunday roast I booked to celebrate a parent’s birthday. The staff were lovely and our server was magnificent. The bar even made an old school cocktail for my dad. The disappointment was the main event. The meat in the roast dinner was a bit tough. The vegetables were lovely and gravy delicious, and the desserts were a treat - just a shame the meat was not a bit more tender. However I again highlight the staff and give a big thank you to our marvellous waitress who just handled the whole meal perfectly. Thank you.
Decent Sunday roast, although gravy could have been a little more reduced down and flavoursome and they could have been less meagre with the veg and roast spuds, but overall a decent effort, especially the gargantuan Yorkshire pudding!
Our favourite Hawksmoor! Always a great atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service
Fab food made even better by £25 for 2 course menu.
Only issue was our table seemed to be a cut through and was right beside the waiters station so felt in the way each time someone pushed past.
So don’t have the table at the entrance to the restaurant is my recommendation! Other than that food & ambience superb
The food was excellent and the waiting staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Everything was perfect, actually - and that's saying something. Recommend sharing a ribeye between two and the triple cooked chips and spinach are to die for. Peppercorn sauce for the win! We arrived early for our booking and were seated immediately regardless. First class.
Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Highly recommended
I went to this restaurant for my mother’s birthday.
The food was exceptional and good size portions. The waiter was polite and on the ball the whole time. One of the best meals out I have had. Would 100% recommend.
Excellent food and service. Pricey but we'll be back.
Absolutely brilliant meal. The steak was amazing and the service was top notch. Would go again!
Most outstanding restaurant we ate at in London. Such a special experience for my parents 40th anniversary. Our server Bianca (I think) went above and beyond for us. Made it a truly memorable experience. Thank you!
The best steak I’ve ever had and exceptional service. Would highly recommend!
I have been eating at the Hawksmoor in Seven Dials for some years now and the quality of the food and the service always impresses.
Desert: best sticky putting ever
