Really romantic with dimmed lights, the Mac and cheese wasn’t to my liking but the sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING! The staff were very attentive would definitely return again to try a different cut of steak
Had a fantastic Valentine's dinner at Hawksmoor Guildhall. Had cocktails to start with and then the set classic menu. Starters were delicious, my rib eye steak was probably the nicest I've ever had and cooked to perfection. My wife had the sirloin which she likes fairly well done, there was none of the usual snootiness you get when requesting this, in fact the waiter said they would butterfly it to make sure it was cooked all the way through. Desserts were equally delicious and generous, in fact I couldn't finish mine and I had been really hungry when we arrived. Not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion.
Outstanding from the staff to food everthing was amazing highly recommended
We tried this venue as an alternative to the one at Borough Market which is always excellent but noisy.
The noise level at Guildhall was much worse - almost hurting our ears. The service was excellent and friendly and the food was also excellent. The taxi driver on our way back to our hotel said that Thursdays were always very busy. Perhaps we will try again on a different day.
I would have given a higher score, if I'd received beef cooked chips instead of fries. I couldn't be bothered to complain at the time.
just amazing, but i really should order sticky toffee pudding
Could not fault the food and was well looked after. We took advantage of the £5 corkage and brought our own champagne.
My third time there. Early lunch is quieter than dinner. At Dinner time, could hardly hear the conversation.
Fantastic as always - the staff were polite, funny and highly efficient. The food was spectacular and the ambience was brilliant. I cannot wait to go back.
Went here for my girlfriends birthday, not only were we greater with a warm welcoming attitude, but the staff all wished her a happy birthday which made her day better! Once seated, the options for a set menu was explained and the difference in steak cuts etc... But on top of that, every couple of minutes a member of staff would approach us to make sure everything is going perfect and if we needed anything else. When they brought her dessert over it had a candle and a happy birthday done in chocolate which was fantastic! Overall I would say it was a massive 10/10 experience! Value for money, for the amount of food we got and the quality, I was very happy with spending every penny!!
Would highly recommend hawksmoor for all occasions!!
Went for the Set menu, food was fantastic, rump steak was sublime. Good service, will be going back
Good value set menu. Overall ambiance and very good service strong points.
Heard so much about Hawksmoor. Not impressed at all
The staff are friendly n nice. The place is quiet and with class
10/10 will sausage at Hawksmoor again. UK Sausage Council likely winner Sausage of the Decade 2020’s Award. Best supporting actor - french dip gravy. Breakfast of Champions and aspiring Champions.
Delicious steak, there's no mistaking it.
Great selection of steak cuts, sauces and sides. Outstanding service, fast and attentive.
The steak and maple bacon is to die for. Please be aware ordering from the main menu isn't cheap. The bill on the last 2 occasion has been over £170 and that is for 2 people. I would recommend this for large groups who can eat for queen and country.
Had the breakfast which was brilliant. There was a mix up with our order but the staff picked up on it straight away and more than made up for the inconvenience. Will be back for the steak!
Absolute must for any breakfast connoisseur! The sharing breakfast was sensational, every bite a delight! Service was friendly and welcoming, whilst the vintage decor gave a feeling of class and sophistication. Highly recommended!
Staff very friendly and obliging- really lovely
Table was attractive but slightly impractical
Noise levels were exceptionally high but it was a Friday night!
Food was very high quality, particularly the steak, but one main dish was missed. We had enough to share though as we overordered.
Some help in ordering the correct amount of steak and sides would have been helpful.
Overall, we had a lovely night
Plus: Very attentive, helpful service.
Minus: My initial rump steak, although correctly cooked (medium/rare), was so tough it was hard to cut, let alone eat. This was quickly replaced by a different cut of rump (??) that was OK - but come on, Hawksmoor, the steaks are the whole point.
The decibel level was high - needs some accoustic treatment I think.
Lovely place for breakfast, service is always good and the team are always very accommodating. My favourite breakfast venue in the city
The food was amazing despite taking a very long time to arrive. The restaurant itself was extremely noisy. The level of noise meant you had to shout at the person sat opposite or rely on lip reading. Having looked around, there were a lot of very very intoxicated customers yelling. Our waitress was simply amazing. Very attentive and polite. Definitely worth returning !
Best breakfast in London
Nothing comes close to it. Everything cooked to perfection.
Amazing prime rib on the bone!
Like always Hawksmoor steak never disappoint. We had bone marrows on top. Also we got supperbe recommendation for the wine.
Lovely building. Food was very good and great staff.
For meat eaters a real treat. Great food -mackerel salad delicious , steak to die for.
Love the Hawksmoor. Very relaxed atmosphere and they serve the best steak in London.
Great drinks and steak. The ginger brew is outstanding.
Fabulous breakfast, came for a birthday breakfast and the staff made it a great experience!
Outrageously delicious porterhouse! Creamed spinach was also out of this world, and the mushrooms were fantastic! Excellent food, 10/10.
Was looking forward to a steak, I like my steak medium rare, however, it was dry and flavourless. I did complain as my husband has medium well and both steaks were the same. The manager was very gracious and happy to listen to my concerns.
Starters good but nothing special, steaks and monkfish mains...10 mins and still waiting for sides and for the wine to be opened, sent it back..got 2 bottles knocked off the bill, but at a grand for 5 lunch was a dissapointment. Won't be booking again..
Our table staff NAOMI,
she was really really lovely !
Steak was rarer than I would have liked in the middle.
Our group were disappointed with the quality of the food served and the way it was cooked / presented. Not the standard we’ve come to expect of the hawksmoor.
The service was noted as being particularly bad, with little interest shown in our group by the team in front of house. It was all very slow and food arrived at different times.
