It provides 'the best power breakfast' (GQ Magazine) to London's financial capital and is perfect for meetings and entertaining clients. The 160-cover restaurant is renowned for serving dictionary-thick steaks simply cooked on a real charcoal grill.
The wine list has been carefully selected to include their favourite wines from obscure small producers and big name vineyards alike and the bar is manned by some of the best bartenders in London serving classic cocktails and original drinks.
There is also a private dining room seating 24, as well as a table for 10 in the main dining room, which serves the exclusive menus.

Same as always, good meat. Nice wine and good performance
Marco attended to us and he was phenomenal. Very friendly and attentive. Also interacted with our kids and kept them entertained with colouring pictures. He also took them on tour to the kitchen and bar where they presented their coloured pictures.
He was very knowledgeable on the menu and was a delight. The food was excellent. We had the rib-eye steak, lobster mac and cheese, grilled bone marrow....scrumptious!
Will definitely recommend it!
My first visit and it won’t be my last - the set menu is a good way to try and very good vale
Three of us went for breakfast and boy were we looking forward to this, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and we were sat in a booth that was very comfortable. Liveners were ordered and the Red Snapper was very good. We had the full on breakfast for 3 with a side order of hash browns, this was spectacular. The best part though was that we never felt rushed, we chatted for ages and were the last ones there and staff let us stay. We will return, maybe for lunch service next time. Highly recommend Hawksmoor, make this a bucket lister, you won't regret it.
Food and service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. We were late but called in advance to let them know.
Best English breakfast in London...possibly the world.
An excellent meal with exceptional and personal service
Fantastic service as always here. The staff are always friendly and good fun.
Went for the lunchtime menu. 3 courses for £35 which was fantastic value.
Superb as always. Best steak restaurant there is in my opinion. Thanks!
Hawksmoor is in a great location in the city of London. The food was fantastic with both traditional, revisited and new ideas. The service was excellent, the staff were attentive informative but not too present and never pressured or hurried us. I would highly recommend this restaurant for Breakfast, especially on Mondays when you can bring your own bottle!
This was my first time at Hawksmoor and I’d heard before that the food was amazing! I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed, the food was beautiful.. I had rump steak - medium rare with triple cooked chips and creamed spinach, everything was perfect. The drinks were also lovely and dessert to! Me and my partner were celebrating our anniversary and this was acknowledged throughout. I’d highly recommend!
Guildhall Hawksmoor is one of our favourites! The food and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back 😊.
Had a wonderful meal for my boyfriends birthday. Staff were very helpful and had great honest knowledge of the menu.
Couldn’t fault the evening.
The best steak in London. Rib-eye from the board as good as it gets. 10/10
Very high noise level to a point to making difficult to have a conversation with you guests.
Service and food are good but the overall experience was not good because of the noise.
I felt like being in a chickens cage.
Don't think I will go again.
Stairway to heaven. The drinks menu, the food, the service; each moment of truth pushes you further into happiness.
Food and service were excellent. As there was just the two of us celebrating a birthday lunch, they seated us in a quieter corner of the restaurant. However, due to the open plan nature of the venue, if you are looking for a quite place to eat this branch of Hawksmoor is not for you, unless you book a table outside of the main lunch period or eat in the bar area, which was surprisingly a lot quieter. Having said this, it would not put us off eating here again. The set lunch menu is great value.
Big subterranean space - bland lighting -canteen like appearance. Noisy, so one is not overheard but one can be heard, however, it was 35% full when we were there so good luck with 100% occupancy. Rump steak excellent, as were the chips. Béarnaise sauce an extra £4?, a bit surprising. Service erratic and not very attentive. So ok overall, good food, but not special.
Very good. We all went for the set menu and for the steak. The starters and puddings were also very good. The wine was a bit pricey but decent. Service was a little slow but attentive. We had a nice, comfortable table. Altogether good value for money compared to other places round here. In case you don’t like steak, the menu had a fish and a veggie option too.
Excellent meal. Steak perfectly cooked. Great value for money. Service was excellent too.
Friendly, welcoming, professional and attentive front-of-house and waiting staff. Faultless service and food. I was looking for the best example of a full English breakfast on offer in London. I did a fair amount of research and Hawksmoor Guildhall came up several times in the search. Yesterday's breakfast did not disappoint.
A terrific breakfast. The Bloody Marys are terrific as well. Highly recommended. Sad that it is only available on weekdays as I do not live in London.
Steak sandwich meagre. Fish raw, though was replaced and not charged for.
Very loud, not a good place for a meeting with friends unless you want to shout at each other, or listen to others shouting.
The breakfast was by far the best ive ever had, me and my girlfriend shared the breakfast for two and would highly recommend.
We were celebrating my friend’s birthday and the whole team went over and beyond to make sure we had the best evening ever. The food was delicious. We had the potted beef and bacon with the Yorkshire’s to start. It was heavenly. Then we had the rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. Dessert was amazing too. We really felt the service was exceptional too. Definitely will be back!
We were there for business dinner. Both my dinner colleagues ordered the express set menu rump and I ordered Ala carte rib eye. Medium rare and it was very good. Try the bone marrow sauce, I found it exquisite and rich. Will come again for sure.
I’ve never had a steak sandwich like that. I think it was better than a steak. Wow.
The food was amazing and the staff were great with dealing with my gluten allergy as they had a lot of knowledge about the dishes and therefore could tell me what could be substituted etc. which gave me a lot more confidence.
The only issue was that service was a bit slow, in particular between ordering and receiving the starters, but the restaurant was very busy when we arrived and I suspect this isn’t an issue at quieter times.
For a special night out it was fantastic. Possibly the best steaks either of us have ever had.
The service was impeccable.
Would definitely recommend.
The evening was perfect, from when we arrived with a friendly greeting, to the excellent cocktails, to the promptly served starters, mains and desserts that were all delicious, and finally the birthday chocolates and candle which completed a very special evening for us.
Delicious breakfast and a cool setting. Went at 9:30 and had cleared by then from the local workers
We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday evening, a good atmosphere and great food! Thoroughly enjoyable!
Lovely food, excellent service from start to finish. Looking forward to a return visit.
I wouldn’t recommend for breakfast. It is more impressive on the menu than in the eating. Some items were not hot. And it was very rich without having that extra oomph in the flavour I was hoping for.
Really romantic with dimmed lights, the Mac and cheese wasn’t to my liking but the sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING! The staff were very attentive would definitely return again to try a different cut of steak
Had a fantastic Valentine's dinner at Hawksmoor Guildhall. Had cocktails to start with and then the set classic menu. Starters were delicious, my rib eye steak was probably the nicest I've ever had and cooked to perfection. My wife had the sirloin which she likes fairly well done, there was none of the usual snootiness you get when requesting this, in fact the waiter said they would butterfly it to make sure it was cooked all the way through. Desserts were equally delicious and generous, in fact I couldn't finish mine and I had been really hungry when we arrived. Not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion.
Outstanding from the staff to food everthing was amazing highly recommended
We tried this venue as an alternative to the one at Borough Market which is always excellent but noisy.
The noise level at Guildhall was much worse - almost hurting our ears. The service was excellent and friendly and the food was also excellent. The taxi driver on our way back to our hotel said that Thursdays were always very busy. Perhaps we will try again on a different day.
I would have given a higher score, if I'd received beef cooked chips instead of fries. I couldn't be bothered to complain at the time.
