My fav restaurant for sure! The food is always amazing but the staff and service make it every time!
Great feed, great service.
Unfortunately there was a diner dressed in "sweaty betty" gym gear... I'm afraid it's not acceptable dress code to any restaurant especially not at a restaurant where diners pay £47 for a standard bottle of wine and are expected to pay about £400+ on their total bill. Perhaps Pizza Express allows this dress code but this should not be allowed at Hawksmoor. We entertain clients here and it's simply not acceptable. (and dress code should be checked by reception and waiting staff)
Fantastic food and excellent service. Great business lunch.
Excellent steak. We were able to book at short notice
Very noisy. Staff is really good. But steak is disappointing
Excellent as always. Selected a beer that was supposed to be hoppy from menu but was like grapefruit juice!!!! Changed it no problem.
The Hawksmoor breakfast is definitely something to enjoy. Great food, good service and an excellent City ambience to experience. Meat lovers only. The bacon, sausages and baked beans are so good. Then the bone marrow. Gosh its great. Just go and enjoy.
Excellent and friendly service. Great food. Quite noisey so I would make a request for a quiet table if you want a peaceful dinner otherwise its very hard to fault!
This restaurant is superb credit to Hawkesmoor
Efficiently run and steaks to die for!
I will continue to dine there often
Legendary breakfast, great service. Lives up to the hype. Anti-fogmatic sets you up for the day nicely.
The welcome and the service here as in all Hawksmoor restaurants was warm and efficient. The food was perfect, a delicious rump steak and chips. Great cocktails and loved the Hawksmoor Malbec.
What didn't suit us were the acoustics which were harsh, loud and difficult to chat. If you like a loud party atmosphere with excellent service and food this is the place for you. I'll stick to the quieter branches in future!
Excellent food and service as expected. Atmosphere wasn’t quite as good as air street or seven dials. It was extremely loud on Friday lunch time with city workers. I wouldn’t recommend that couples go at lunchtime.
Absolutely incredible. Amazing food, fantastic wine, incredible service. The best evening out
Very nice breakfast.
The service was great we were well looked after.
Everything was superb.
We’re looking forward to going back soon.
Next time Lobster
All the staff, in particular our waitress, were fantastic. They went above and beyond for our vegan guest at a steak restaurant, and she really enjoyed her food. We couldn’t fault anything about our evening and would highly recommend it.
As can be expected from Hawksmoor, this is in an historic and atmospheric building. The staff, deceptively casual looking, are efficient and friendly in equal manner. We went for the early deal which was excellent value and also took advantage of the £5 Monday cottage. All much appreciated! Not given 5 stars as steak slightly too well done and no mustard/ sauces other than ketchup offered. Could gavexasked but large room means staff not always close by. Personally (as a Yorkshire lass), I would make the potted beef and bacon warm.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. Thank you.
Quick and attentive staff, delicious breakfast, in a traditionally decorated space, also suitable for business breakfast meetings for 2-3 people
Excellent food and service. Met a member of staff that served us at the Seven Dials branch over a year ago - good banter!
Great breakfast. Very pleasant service. Well worth a visit.
Lovely breakfast had by all
Went for a business dinner; while the food was excellent and the service was OK, the noise level meant that every person (three of us) around the table had to lean into the centre of the table to be hear anything. Not conducive to a relaxed business meal at all. Would prob be OK for dinner with friends, but, tbh, I've no real need to shout at friends either. If you really want to go here, insist on a table in the bar, but £195.00 for a bar meal is a bit steep :-0
Great evening and even better sevice! special thanks to reinaldo and josh.
Recent visit for anniversary. Excellent service and food plus laid on a surprise dessert for our celebration.
Superb food and service that I have come to expect when dining here. This was the first time we had been for breakfast and we wasn’t disappointed.
Really recommend the Hawkmoor Breakfast for two, all the elements were excellent, great flavour and high quality ingredients. Service was smooth, helpful and unfussy. The atmosphere and restaurant decor was relaxed and pleasant. Great double birthday treat, for two of our party.
We had all visited Hawksmoor on a number of previous occasions - and each and every time we had enjoyed our experience. Opting, usually, for steak, we had always been impressed with the quality of your meat (at varying times we had selected, rump, sirloin and fillet). However, on our most recent visit on 25th October, we were somewhat disappointed.
One of my guests was delighted with his langoustine scampi and was pleased with his rump steak and chips. For my part, my caesar salad was superb (I eat it often and, in fact, it was one of the best I've experienced) but my medium-cooked rump steak was rather tough and salty - I struggled to eat it all I'm afraid.
My other guest, Mr Richard Tyson, also enjoyed his caesar salad. But he simply couldn't eat his sirloin steak (I must say that it didn't look very appetizing on the plate) as it was overdone and excessively oversalted. He couldn't eat it. We registered his displeasure with our waitress (very pleasant and efficient) after which your manager appeared and apologised and ensured that we weren't charged for Richard's main course.
The wine was quite acceptable.
Richard Tyson had actually booked a table with you later this month - around the 21st November. I believe he is planning to honour his booking.
Warm welcome, excellent service and quality full English breakfast
Excellent food & the waiting crew where impeccable and attentive.
Food and service impecable from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
Another great experience!
Thank you to all at Hawksmoor Guildhall!
As usual, excellent. I particularly love this Hawksmoor. It looks amazing & there’s always a wonderful buzz.
I was thinking about going elsewhere for a change, however from experience I won’t find a better steak, sauces & sides, so I returned. Once more, I’m pleased I did.
Great food, lovely building, Would recommend and visit again.
the service was terrible and we ended up waiting 45-50 minutes for even our starters to arrive. Service seemed disorganised and sporadic, once we complained about waiting time, we were told “its not my fault” like it was a personal critique to the waiter. The excuse given was that it takes a long time to cook a medium steak as opposed to a rare steak (!), despite nobody at the table having ordered a medium steak. When plates arrived not much care was given as to whom each plate belonged to. Tables around us which had arrived later were all served before us. Waiting staff in general seemed very snooty.
The service was the stand out reason to come to Hawksmoor. Friendly, professional and just very good at what they do. One of my dinner guests spilt red wine all over my dessert, not only did the service staff spot this without us saying, but immediately replaced my dessert. 10/10.
Favourite wine of the night was a Hawksmoor blend by in house wine expert, who also was courteous and friendly.
Absolutely love this place. I’ve never had a bad experience here.
Possibly the best breakfast in London....fillet steak and eggs
Started inauspiciously as they didn't seem to have the reservation I'd made 3 hours before, but kindly seated us anyway. Food was good, service very good etc, although it was a little on the slow side, but it's not the sort of dinner you worry about rushing.
Hawksmoor breakfast set me right.
Food fabulous , cocktails amazing great place to meet friends - probably not a romantic night out !!
The food quality and service were excellent. The best steak I have had in a long time, and the rest of my group concur. However, the room was full of echoes, making the noise level uncomfortably high. Surfaces to absorb sound would be a big improvement.
