Great experience overall. The server was friendly, comical and kept us in high spirits throughout the night. It is important to know that Hawksmoor is doing everything they can to make sure you feel safe and comfortable during this pandemic.
As always the steak was excellent, and the desserts were decadent. Always a return on my list.
Amazing experience as ever even during these crazy times!
Brilliant steak, excellent fish, so so happy! Thank you for the great service also particularly during COVID!
All great as usual
Amazing as always. Thanks :)
Great service. Very attentive and helpful. Great deal on the eat out to help out too
The eat out to help out £10 rump steak deal was fantastic. Thanks for a great meal.
Couldn’t fault a thing first class service and food.
Excellent as always. Will be coming back later in the month for several dinners
Food very good as usual.
Down is employee don’t use any PPE
Sunday evening table booked for three at 6.30pm. Seated straight away and orders taken. All was good untill we had finished our meal and then we waited & waited & waited!! Our server was busy with all the other tables he was serving but NOT ours. In the end it got to late to order deserts and extra drinks. To make things worse when we paid he admitted he had neglected us and gave us free sides!!! Absolute joke. If that's what you get trying to support a much loved restaurant I give up.
Worth the wait! Had the Sunday Roast and as always did not disappoint super tasty.
Food was delicious. The staff were amenable to a few requests off menu. Great time!
The service at Hawksmoor is always helpful and personal, without being overbearing. The food is excellent, and the venues are well designed. I particularly like the Art Deco styling of Air Street.
Great Sunday roast! Only downfall was the air con made it really cold. Other than that can’t fault Hawksmoor
The branch had only just opened and it was their first Sunday for months. Because of the current restrictions, there was no bar service, but everything couod be brought to the table. We both had brilliant cocktails, at very reasonable prices (unlike the wine, which was overpriced).
Our waiter was excellent - friendly it not obsequious, and he paced our meal to perfection.
We had gone for their Sunday Roast - like the majority of their patrons - and it was as brilliant as usual. Just wish that I could have finished all the vegetables too.
Hawksmoor's meat is always special.
So happy this place is back open! Absolutely delicious starters and Sunday roast - the beef was out of this world. Staff were all so friendly and happy to be back to work, which really made us feel at ease. Tables were well distanced too.
Food was good and the staff were amazing and professional
The food was well prepared and the service was excellent. Difficult to fault anything (as always.)
Great evening at Hawksmoor for our first meal back following lockdown. Great service, delicious food and amazing cocktails. Worth noting that they are offering the opportunity to grab a drink in the bar area (though, not sat at the bar) before/after your meal at the Air Street restaurant.
It was great to be able to return to my favourite restaurant after lockdown. Although they had a reduced menu, there was still enough of a selection for all of my party. Another wonderful evening.
It was an absolute delight to spend some time with Hawksmoor on Saturday. Since Lockdown started, there has been an encroaching feeling of dread which has crept into our lives and I'm happy to say, for a few brief hours at least, I was able to sit back, laugh and forget my troubles while enjoying the excellent food and service at Air Street. The dining experience, as always, was perfection and it's my shame that I cannot remember the name of the team member who served me, gave amazing recommendations and was just amazing.
It was a breath of fresh air and I couldn't have wished for a better "first meal out" in ages.
Huge thanks to the entire team at Hawksmoor! ❤️
Fantastic as always and so good to see you open again
The food and wine were great. The service topped off the meal and made it a memorable experience.Rahn ?who served us and advised on the wine and spent time was outstanding.
Amazing, as always! Great food and wonderful service- so glad to be back!!
One of the best waiters I have had dining in London this past year.
Best steak in London. Nice, efficeint staff. Great to be back.
Always a great meal and all around enjoyable part of an evening out.
First night of their re-opening. Staff were welcoming and obviously happy to be back in business again. Food was excellent as ever.
So good to be back. The staff are amazing really welcoming. They made the whole experience so normal And relaxed (sounds weak but difficult To do these days). Environment fun and buzzy and safe. Full marks
The hake on the set lunch menu is terrific. And the rhubarb sorbet.
I dare say one fine day I might tire of Hawksmoor, but 13 years on it's not showing any signs of losing its focus.
Food and service was excellent as always. Tentative waiters and waitresses.
The welcoming was very average as usual. The hosts at the door really do need some training or monitoring. Not the first time they have been under par compared to the service staff upstairs
My first Hawksmoor experience upon the recommendation of my friends who love it. The Sunday roast was nice but sadly I found the meat incredibly chewy therefore I didn’t really eat it. The rest of the food was yummy however and I really enjoyed the dessert with the rare chocolate. Delish!
We have been many times and love it at the restaurant. We took a friend there on Sunday who was over from America first time every having a traditional Sunday roast. The food was not really hot so for me it was a disappointment, we didn’t say anything to our server as we had a guest with us. If it had just been myself and my husband I would have complained, as it was not up to your normal standard.
Great lunch for my mum's birthday. The staff are amazing and the roast is amazing!
We have always enjoyed dining at Hawksmoor and we were not let down! George who looked after us could not have done anymore to make it an enjoyable evening. He is an asset to the organization.
We enjoyed a lovely meal where me and my partner shared a Chateaubriand, some sides, bottle of wine and dessert. It was a lot of food and all tastes very nice, but came to £100 which seemed high considering we didn't even get starter.
The service was good, our waitress was very sweet and tended to all our needs. We never had to wait to get served or for our orders to arrive.
However the dining room is very big and it feels like they've tried to stick as many tables as possible in there to max profits but which causes the dining experience to feel loud and stressed.
Atrocious visit to Hawksmoor, Air Street on Saturday 14 March at 3pm.
Supposed to be my birthday treat from my girlfriend and because I'd never had a Chateaubriand thought I'd splash out for what I'd been told was supposed to be the best steak. It was not.
The very first cut into the steak was extremely difficult. However, I persevered and after much cutting and with some considerable force attempted to have my first bite. I then found I had to chew and chew and chew and ultimately removed it from my mouth as it was simply too chewy / gristley. I then saw that what I'd been chewing was indeed a big lump of gristle and looked at the rest of the steak and saw that it had a Big vein of gristle running through it.
After approx. 10 minutes of failing to get the waitress's attention, I told her about the gristle and she apologised and said that another would be made in replacement for me. She also asked if we wanted my girlfriend's Royal Bream to be taken so we could both eat together, but since she was now over half way through I suggested that she finish. After a further 15 minutes a "new" steak was delivered to my table. It looked okay from the outside and indeed the first few bites were okay. But when I then got about a third of the way through, this one too had gristle.
At that point I thought it was simply the same steak, re cooked! I called the waitress over again and showed her again and was told it was a new steak.
The bill came for ~£95 and was told that we hadn't been charged for the Chateaubriand.
Having now had time to think about this and telling a friend who works in a restaurant, who said we shouldn't have been charged at all, I'm actually extremely disappointed at our treatment.
I've been to various Hawskmoors and this has to be the worst experience I've ever had, especially considering that its supposed to be known for its quality.
I would've hoped for better quality control, especially by the chef.
Wrote to, but no response from Hawksmoor!
Always a great place to be, but was disappointed that you did not have Fillet or that lovely chocolate dessert with brown butter ice cream
Was taken here for my birthday. Excellent service and superb food. I have always liked the the original Art Deco style of the restaurant which adds to the ambience.
