Visiting Chicago for the weekend. Delicious food. I would definitely come back. We got a bunch of things and shared everything
SO delicious! Food was timed out perfectly and the pitcher of margarita was so delicious and such good value. Took my parents here and it was so refreshing compared to a boring steakhouse :) Will definitely be back, we loved it!
Fast service, good food.
Great place. Amazing drinks and great food.
The flavors in the food was amazing . Recommend the Cuban pork dish Delicious
Super great food! Great price.
We were in Chicago for 3 weeks setting up for a show. Ended up eating tons of places and this was one of the best we found.
It was me and my girlfriend night out for our one year anniversary. The place is really amazing, staff was on point, and the food was incredible! I really recommend this place to have a wonderful night out and enjoy a different atmosphere! The vibe is outstanding! Lastly, the prices are very affordable!
The food is delicious. The service is a bit relaxed so expect to have to wave down the servers if you need anything. The food is amazing.
Very impressed. Service was outstanding. Dancing was great! When I made the reservation I put in special instructions that it was my friend birthday. The hostess said happy birthday to him at the door which was a nice surprise. And I didn’t even ask for a birthday dessert but they brought him one with a candle on it on the house! We will be back again!
Great food and great prices! The servers are super friendly and the drinks are delicious!!
Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner. We had 3 adults and our baby. Was sat immediately upon arrival from our reservation and the assistant staff was immediate to filling water. They didn’t keep the high chairs accessible and had us wait a few minutes for them to bring us one. Not a big deal since the establishment is not overly large as they would take up space.
Started with the Empanadas and Ceviche for appetizers. The chicken empanadas were the best in my opinion but the maza was too thick so you tasted a lot of the maza more than the meat filling. The ceviche was really standard and nothing to write home about. Not full in flavor and rather boring.
Since it was a Friday, we ordered the pitcher of the House Mojito which was nothing more than a minty sprite. Lacked flavor and wasn’t anything special as well. I’m sure since it’s the Friday special they don’t put equal parts alcohol so it was extremely weak.
For the main course, we had the Jibarito Steak Sandwich, Jalea, and Cuban Sandwich. The Cuban Sandwich is the only reason I gave at least 2 stars for food. It was good and had some flavor. The Jibarito sandwich was terrible. The steak was tough and the plantains were overcooked, dry and hard. The Jalea was from something I’ve never seen. It had terrible flavor and I’ll stay eating Jalea from Peru. This Jalea has no place on the menu.
Lastly, I’ll talk about the service. It was a big fat zero. Our server came to our table 2 times during the 1 hour visit. She took out drink order and our food order. That was the last time we saw her.
The overall experience was terrible and we will not be returning anytime soon. The manager brought me our check where we informed him of our dining experience and he promptly tried to make it amenable. I did appreciate his attempt but the damage was done.
If you’ve eaten in the Havana 90 miles south of Florida, then make the trek back cause this Havana is nothing like I’ve eaten.
Service great. Food underwhelming, not as good as other Cuban places and a bit overpriced.
Beautiful and great food. The service was amazing. The valet was slow when leaving. But overall great dining experience. Their mojitos are to die for.
Really good! Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food (Havana pulled pork, carne de tequila, baby back ribs and another roasted pork dish). Would recommend!
not really cuban taste
Took my wife for her birthday and she absolutely enjoyed it
I ordered the Chiles rellenos for lunch thinking I’d eat one and take the other home and my friend there’s the enchiladas. We ended up swapping a Chile for an enchilada and they were so delicious that we both ate every bit! Love the atmosphere, love the reasonably priced food, really nice service, too. I’ll be back!
Great food and quick service
Great food and service
Empanadas were delicious! Definitely recommend the mojito flight, also the roasted Cuban pork was amazing!
we have been here several times. the noise in the room is lively but not terrible. service was good. no problems with service.
This was my second time coming and the other 3 people in my party their first time. Everybody enjoyed their food, the music, the ambience and the service. We will definitely be going back!
Incredible. Friendly. Tasty. My go-to for friends who visit the city and stay downtown.
We celebrate my wife's birthday. Food was good. Drinks served fast and service was professional and curious. Overall we had a great time at Havana.
Food is Cuban with a twist of Mexican. I should know as I am Cuban. The food was still tasty and good for the location. The desserts were really good and made in-house.
The food, drinks, and service are amazing . The mojitos are some of the best I’ve had. However, the bathrooms are always disgusting, they need better cleaning and upkeep.
Friday has mojito pitchers for $25.
Food is solid. Typical Cuban dishes. Would recommend
The owner was very pleasant. The food was very tasty. Will return
Service and food was excellent. Friendly staff and very attentive to make the experience wonderful. We’ll definitely come back!
Good food and atmosphere
Food was delicious! Best sweet plantains and slow roasted Cuban pork. Great service.
We popped in just by chance. It would have been helpful if hostess gave us the heads up that they would be turning into a more noisy, dance atmosphere, since my friend and I just wanted to chat over dinner. Food was good. Service was mostly ok. When it came time to pay, we split the bill between 2 credit cards. 1 - we didn’t like the mandatory gratuity added, it was only 2 people. 2 - the way they rang up/printed out the receipt made it look like we both were paying the max gratuity. Was a crappy way to end the evening trying to straighten it out.
This was my first time to Havana. Great Chicago restaurant. If you’re feeling lonely and bored, head here. Great crowd, food, and ambience. A little on the loud side, but it’s all good. My dish, the pulled pork was remarkable. It was fresh and the sauces were delicious. When my friends and I left at 11:00, the joint was still jumping. You’ve just gotta go.
Try the mango martinis!
Great time spent with friends and service was helpful making sure everything was just right
Great time great place
I just love this little River North restaurant. While so many in the area have turned into "see-and-be-seen" pricey hotspots, Havana remains true to it's roots with affordable and delicious Cuban food done right. The atmosphere is terrific, and sitting in the front by the large open windows gives you the best of indoor and outdoor dining. Plus, on Monday nights they have a caipirinha special. Awesome!!
Fabulous Cuban restaurant. Loved the food, service was excellent and mango mojito was superb!
Perfect dining experience and service
Everything was amazing. The food/service was great. We will definitely come back!
Although weI had reservations, we still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the basement where it was extremely loud. We waited an additional 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order. The food was good but, the service was extremely slow! It even took a long time for us to get the
