Hakkasan takes its guests through a vivid ‘Chinois Chic’ encounter that indulges all five sense. The menu, devised by Michelin-starred chef Tong Chee Hwee, has a strong Chinese identity which is underpinned by authenticity rather than traditionalism and includes signature dishes such as cod with Champagne and Chinese honey, crispy duck salad and jasmine tea smoked Wagyu tenderloin.
Hakkasan Shanghai is open for dinner every night and Hakka Bund Weekend brunches on Saturday and Sunday.
Good food, good service and good ambience. Very good view of the Bund and it is worth to go back again.
Hakkassan was an amazing experience for dinner. The view of the bund from the seats by the window was incredible. We were seated by the bar for a few minutes before getting to our table and were able to enjoy a few of the menu items brought around on sample trays. For someone who is used to NYC crowds and prices, the vibe and quality of Hakkasan was a breath of fresh air. I'd definitely recommend Hakkasan to friends traveling in Shanghai.
Amazing, one of the best dinners I have ever eating!
really valuable experience. Food and cocktails are amazing, and the view is very romantic. Perfect for a date or a chat with friends.
Good food, good service. Everything is fine. Dimsum is beautiful.
We had a lovely dinner at Hakkasan Shanghai 🤙🏼🙂 🌱 Lotus menu (vegetarian / vegan) was really great and tasteful. Staff very friendly and professional. Definitely coming back.
My absolute favourite restaurant! Loved the experience!
Excellent romantic meal with wonderful views across The Bund. Beautiful dining room, well spaced tables and upbeat music at just the right volume level.
The food is somewhat westernised, presented beautifully and cleverly flavoured. The crispy duck salad was a favourite.
Service is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable.
Great first impression of Shanghai! Had dinner with my two teenagers and we all enjoyed it very much!
Great view and nice atmosphere, good taste and fantastic service.
Always good food. Can’t go wrong. Service is great.
Great food. Somewhere moderate service, we would have wished for that the waiter had explained the concept for us. Wine recommendation were not adapted to the food. Rather noisy and not suitable for a calm cosy dinner
Good food good service good ambient. Highly recommended. It’s pricy but it’s worth it
Excellent food, excellent service, expensive by Chinese standards but not by North American standards.
We had a very pleasant dinner during our stay in Shanghai. As I mentioned during the reservation, we had a special occasion that day and the staff of Hakkasan made it a very special occasion indeed. Lovely ambiance, splemdid food, excellent staff.
As usual, outstanding service, innovative culinary creations - chocolate peanut desert is fabulous (although the chocolate sphere is now missing). Weekend brunch allows for sampling of several dishes made to share.
Very nice location, excellent food and Greta service.
La comida es excelente y muy bien presentada; además la ubicación y el servicio en general, hacen que se pueda tener una muy grata experiencia en Shanghai.
This restaurant is. a must to do .The food is fantastic , the peoples are super friendly and very professional .Special Thanks to Kate Ruan who was very helpfull
Food was very disappointing and over priced. Not as good as London or New York
Great food and amptosfere. Excellent drinks and view.
The view was to die for. The atmosphere was excellent. The food was consistently high quality and creative. Having eaten the night before at Yong Foo Elite (which was good), this was a far superior restaurant.
It's just Perfect and the wine list is amazing.
The food, revisited fusion China dishes, is fantastic.
Waiters, maitre d'hotel and sommeliers are all professional and excellent
We came for wedding anniversary celebration and really appreciated sweet gesture of a candle and chocolate inscription with our dessert. Service was great, reserving online was a breeze and atmosphere is beautiful, we had a wonderful private table. Luxury dim sum platter was a feast (I am from Far East and caviar is one oft favorite foods:), duck skin was absolutely succulent, abalone was cooked to perfection. It was great to be able to have different dishes from set menu so we both tried more. Generally all high-end offerings were top-notch, but we couldn’t hide our disappointment when the meal took a giant nose dive with final offering of fried rice and broccolini. Flavorless, dry and uneventful, not even fragrant like any freshly steamed rice, let alone fried rice, would be. I was still hungry and ate two bowls but doctored it up with spicy sauce that we asked for extra helping of. That giant dish of rice was such a shame and such a contrast to everything that was offered before and after, from drinks to desserts, especially confusing after the sever told us it was a “signature”. Something went VERY wrong there! Coconut dessert was lovely but quite sweet, but loved the pop of tangerine sorbet (I guess it was tangerine-adjacent citrus). Thank you for lovely time, but please fix that rice!
Excellent service to match wonderfully prepared food at a reasonably priced venue for what you get.
Would strongly recommend for anyone in The Bund who is looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the street. Catered very well to allergies as well, which can be hit and miss for tourists unfamiliar with Mandarin and the cuisine in Shanghai.
Service can’t be better and so is the food
Impeccable evening. Great food with attentive yet discreet and professional staff. Thank you!
I visited Hakasan to celebrate my birthday traveling Shanghai, thank you for giving me birthday noodle as a gift! I have experienced several Michelin restaurants in Prague, Barcelona, Seoul... but this time was best 👍 Thank you for serving amazing food, ambience and service.
Se come un pato exquisito y se puede disfrutar de bebidas extraordinarias.
As always great foods, great service, just a few steps from the bund.
Location is great. Food is what can be expected ay this price level. Service is OK. Drinks at the bar are amazing
Hakkasan Shanghai is now our favourite of all Hakkasans.
Amazing location, sat at our favourite table overlooking the Bund.
Sensational food that was plentiful and hit every spot and every note.
Kindest and most thoughtful team who was engaging and honest that we could be over-ordering which is rare these days.
We love it and you are our go to each time we visit Shanghai.
Thank you HK Shanghai for two amazing nights.
Love this place. Dim Sum, Black Pepper beef and XO rice were to die for. Will go again.

Coffee and Topped off with three flavors of sorbet mango raspberry and cherry. All to die for. Best sorbet I ever had and I’m from NYC and travel ti Italy. The sorbets were paired with the smoothest grappa I’ve ever enjoyed. Great meal and priced well. Everything for $158 service and tip included. for 2 of us.
