I am very disappointed with the whole experience in Hakkasan Mayfair. Initially the service was extremely average and got worse as the evening went on. At the end of the dinner when I asked for a glass of 18 year old Glenmorangie, I was bluntly told by our waitress that they need the table back and I should order it at the bar.
We were then bluntly presented with the bill which we politely paid. Then when my friend went to the bathroom another colleague started pressurising us to go to the bar. This is despite spending £700 for 4 people.
We only got left alone when we politely but firmly told him that we will leave once everyone back from the lavatory. I would also like to point out that the table next to us was empty so really do not see what the urgency was in reclaiming our table
I have never been treated like this and felt embarrassed and needless to say will never step foot in hakkasan Mayfair ever again.
It was nice and cosy, definitely will visit again, food was good. Recommending the rib eye beef as well as the duck salad
Great food taste, excellent service and wonderful place.
Very loud due to a party next to us - food amazing tho
Took my other half there for his birthday, it’s his favourite place to go and they never fail to disappoint there! Service is amazing and staff are all friendly. Food is pricy but you get what you pay for, 100% recommend!
It was very noise, quite dark and incredibly hot. The food as always was outstanding and the service also very good but for me the other issues mean I probably won't go back. Maybe go to Hanway place next time.
Catch up dinner with my best friend - food and service as always to an outstanding level and delicious
Maria our server was AMAZING! The meal was the best we’ve had in London. I’ve been to the Hakkasan in NYC and Vegas and this was the best yet!
Extremely disappointing and appalled. We ordered the signature menu which one would think would be the restaurant’s best since it’s their top pick! ( and was 120pounds per head!) The food tasted awful and we had to wait 20minutes for the second course which was not the least bit worth the wait! What followed were a series of bad to worse dishes.
It was intended to be a special meal for my family. Having boasted on my choice of venue and the restaurant’s supposed reputation, I had never been so embarrassed for clearly my worst choice of restaurant EVER!
Amazing dishes and well worth it for a memorable experience.
A bit noisy and staff weren’t as attentive as they should be. Very very busy so understandable although extra staffing on evenings like this would be better.
Simply delicious, not my first time , keep it going
Been to Hakkasan a couple of times but not great this time, Starters arrived at different times, one of the starters had missing ingredients, hence the delay I guess, and the main served prior to starter being finished, all a bit disjointed
Overrated and overpriced. Not worth the money nothing special at all.
A generous rating, but with an admission - I didn't have the food.
Booked a table for my girlfriend's birthday. She has a severe egg allergy which I made clear on my reservation (a month in advance).
The day of the booking I they call me stating "we use egg in our kitchen and can't confirm there won't be cross contamination" to which I respond "we eat at places that use egg in their kitchen all the time, as long as the chef is careful with using different equipment as you should be when prepping vegan food, it should be fine". This is very unhelpful as even if I did want to cancel I have no time left to book another restaurant. I also double check that the lobster (what I imagine my girlfriend will have) can be done egg free. They assure me it will be fine.
So we show up to the restaurant, get taken downstairs (very nice atmosphere and interior, food smells good, hence the 2 stars). Again, a hostess comes over and warns us of the egg in the kitchen and gives us a "no-Egg menu" with 3 mains on it and a few vegetable side dishes (no lobster). I say I was told on the phone the lobster could be done egg free, eventually she comes back after checking and says the chef won't do the lobster egg free (the only thing with egg is the sauce but they wont serve a sauce free lobster/egg free sauce).
At this point we're very fed up and not willing to spend so much money, when I booked the place specifically for the lobster and we now had no confidence the kitchen could avoid an allergic reaction. So we left. I was very disappointed that a very expensive, supposedly elite restaurant would make less effort to accommodate for an allergy than Nandos/McDonald's/insert any chain (who always offer to remove sauces!)
We've been to dozens of nice restaurants. Sometimes we have reactions, usually not. But not once have any of them made less effort than Hakkasan.
Summary: probably good food. Don't bother if you have an allergy. Plenty of nice places that will treat you a lot better.
Very over priced for what it was. Service was slow and impolite. Food was just fine but nothing special.
We, a couple (55 years) enjoy travelling and eat often in good restaurants. We never had such a good food before and we've had an excellent service. Thank you for that and sorry for my not very good English ....
Great experience at Hakkasan Mayfair, we had the Phoenix tasting menu which gives a good overview of the kitchen's skills. Personal favourite was the Duck salad, just the flavour and crunchiness I was hoping to find. I would most certainly go back!
I booked the restaurant for my Boy friends birthday. The service was very poor we waited for 30 minutes before our order was taken. Very disappointed ☹️
Waiter was excellent. Main reception staff not helpful
Everything was great accept the air conditioning was hot.
We didn’t enjoy the meal.
Food was absolutely stunning. From presentation to portions to taste. 100% recommend for an amazing fine dining experience!!!
Very very very disappointing that they have severely reduced their dim sum menu - that is what they were best at!
Lovely supper with a friend! We had booked the £38 menu with 3 courses and a cocktail, food choices were limited and luckily we both found something to suit. The food was excellent. No choice on dessert but it was a lovely ice cream ‘bomb’ coated in rice crispies and very chocolatey. Wine is pricey, a few more options under £50 would be good!
The service is always a bit slow and difficult to get someone, especially when it is so dark in there, food is spot on as it always is. Price wise, it is fair, as it is definitely better than many Michelin one star restaurants.
Great food and a very personable and welcoming service.
Delicious food, quality service, good atmosphere... we had an unforgettable night
Great service and experience
Lovely experience, it was supposed to be a Taste Menu but we were actually full! :) the Dessert was AMAZING.
We were a party of 4 for lunch, 3 ordered the Bamboo meny, 1 ordered the Taste of Hakkasan - vegetarian option. The 3 persons who ordered the Bamboo meny got their food - steamed dumplings - and than the Duck salad - whilst the one who orderes vegetarian option got no food at all - just a coctail (complimentary with the meny). Eventually we had to ask for the last persons food. We were told that they had forgotten - and just when the rest had finished their starter - the last starter arrived so that person had to eat alone... Next the rest of the Bamboo meny came togheter with the main dish in the vegetarian option. The food was well presented and tasted fantastic - but when a long black hair appeard in the vegetarian dish - it was a serious set back. The dish was quickly replaced with a new - without hair. The desserts were wonderful - all served at the same time and without hair, but all in all we paid almost £500 for lunch (including 2 bottles of Prosecco) and did expect better service and appologizes for the person with the vegetarian food - who did not have a good experience. Free coffee did not make up for mistakes....
Absolutely amazing! Celebrated my 25th birthday here with my friends - the food was exquisite and really good value for money. “The Hakka” is one of the best drinks I have ever had!
Would definitely recommend!
Expensive for what it is. One of those restaurants which look trendy, look cool, but you pay an enormous amount at the end. Yes the food was nice but the overall experience does not justify it.
get the dragon menu. amazing. I know Hakkasan Miami so had high expectations but Mayfair was even better.
Excellent service, fantastic food, never felt rushed
Let’s just say this is the last time I give Hakkasan my money
The restaurant ambience is great and so is the food. What the restaurant lacks is service. We continuously had to get a waiter’s attention. We waited about 20 minutes before we could get the attention of a waiter. The sommelier also never came back to the table to assist us with choosing the wine. He only came to serve the wine. And no member of staff checked if everything was okay. It was a disappointing experience. Not even the food could make up for it.
Food was good, service was horrendous. Pretty disappointed.
Everything was lovey but if I pay a fortune in a restaurant then I want a working Internet where I don’t have to give out all my details for their marketing purposes
Perfect as always
