Golden Dragon - Foxwoods Resort Casino
Food used to taste good. However, the food quality is declining. I go there about once a month and I had to say that the past two times, some dishes were disappointing.
We ended up just having a glass of water because everything on the menu contains MSG which many people including me are highly allergic to. Most Chinese restaurants either do not use MSG or are willing to cook dishes most dishes without it.
very bad and disrespectful service
When we arrived they said I had no reservation. I always bring a printed copy of my reservation with the confirmation number. When the hostess looked at it she said I will seat you. I could tell it killed her to seat us. The problem is the restaurant didn't have enough help. We waited 20 minutes to get a drink and about
45 minutes to get are food. The food was very good. But it was a long wait.
What a wonderful lunch special. Plenty of choices and plenty of food. Best hot and sour soup I've ever had.
Salt and pepper shrimp SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Shrimp are huge, tender and delicious
We were a little disappointed with our dining experience at Golden Dragon. The service was spotty. A long wait for our order to be taken, then the main dishes arrived well before we had finished the appetizers. Getting the table cleared and finding the sever for the bill also was challenging. Beyond that, the food was just fair. Everything was too greasy or drowned in sauce. There is no reason for us to return.
We loved the short ribs. Very yummy. Rice and Lo Mein were very good.
Excellent tasting Chinese cuisine
Wife asked no MSG and wish was complied
Excellent Peking Duck, Pad Thi, Sweet and Sour Pork and really excellent Pork Fried Rice
Chinese restaurants in Manhattan have gone downhill
Wish we had Golden Dragon in NYC
The meal and service was fantastic . The food was very fresh and authentic. The flavors were fantastic .
Would not have eaten here unless I was already in the casino. The good is overpriced for what it is and quality is just standard fare. It helped not to wait in line having an Ooen table reservstion but sadly the food was lackluster at best.
Good food, reasonably priced menu but some dishes were expensive. What do you expect, you’re at the casino. Overall, the family and I had a good lunch.
Ask for Annabelle! Awesome service!
It was the Only thing open late. Food okay. They do a lot of take out.
Wife and I wanted a fairly quick bite before a show at Foxwoods. We both love Peking Duck. Stopped at Golden Dragon. We started with the Crab Rangoon’s. They were well prepared and very tasty. We then had the oxtail soup. There was more than enough for 3-4 people. Again good job. Then we had the duck. It came a little quickly, we were still eating our soup. This was ok because we were in a bit of a hurry but normally this is unacceptable to me. I prefer one course at a time. We ordered half a duck. It was enough for 3 wraps each. Plenty. The skin was crisp and the meat was juicy. Great flavor. Job well done. Will definitely return. However, next time I will ask that they slow down the service. Thank you Golden Dragon.
PS the check was only $52.!
The staff were ver polite and professional. The aimed to please, which was a excellent service.
Solid Asian place at Foxwoods. Very authentic. Everything I've ever gotten here has been very good except for the lo mein. Do not order that as it has no taste and is so boring. Everything else is always quite delicious though. Usually the only thing wrong with the place is the service. It's always sub par. It's the culture I feel. There is no customer service there. Sorely lacking. It's quite sad.
Bad service and waitress did not bring the correct food ordered
food was not good
our waitress Lisa was awesome!
Excellent service, excellent food, large portions and good prices.
Food was bland. Service was slow. Allergy request was not entered and someone ended up extremely sick as a result.
I wish I could say something nice, but everything was subpar. It reminded me of reheated frozen Chinese food. Somehow in the middle of a casino with a full liquor license, they don't have a full bar. Service was unremarkable.
Over priced, limited menu. Slow service.
The food was just ok. Kind of bland. The server was attentive for the most part but gave us the check without asking if we wanted dessert. We did want dessert! I had Szechuan eggplant, not garlicky enough. The potstickers appetizer was ok. A little tough/overcooked. Probably wouldn't go back, especially with the much Superior Red Lantern restaurant on property.
Always a fave and must stop for what is arguably the BEST Chinese food in CT. Love the fried noodles (HKG style) with veg and seafood, sweet & sour pork, shrimp fried rice, salt & pepper shrimp, bok choy, roast duck, etc ...
Lousy meals, I was expecting a lot more. I've had better chinese food in a mall food court. Very disappointed with this restaurant, you need to improve the service and food. Would not recommend at all.
Golden Dragon offered a good variety of good Chinese food. Great for everyday dining.
The restaurant wasn't too busy - about half full in the dining room. We ordered our drinks which came promptly and then ordered our meals. Our meals came in a reasonable amount of time minus one. I understand sometimes you physically cannot carry all four+ dinners in one trip. But when I had to call over our waiter after waiting more than five minutes since the first three dinners were served was very unreasonable. When he approached the table, I sensed that perhaps I had been inconveniencing him when I asked where my dinner was. He responded very hurriedly that it was "almost ready". I replied that my friends were almost done eating their dinners. He then said he would get it right away. Unfortunately, that meant he took another table's order and gave another table their check BEFORE he went to retrieve my dinner. Needless to say, I could not give him a proper tip for service and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth despite the delicious flavor of our meals.
The best at the casino
The food was good and so was the service. I thought that the prices were a bit on the pricey side. Went here with my family for lunch at the casino. I noticed that there were not as many dishes that I am used to seeing in Asian restaurants back at home in Philadelphia; however, my cousin altered her dish to her liking and the chef accommodated her. He even came out to the dining hall to speak to her directly which showed great customer service.
Love eating here, the portions are very generous & fast service
We have been here many times and have always found it a wonderful dining experience. The Imperial Peking Duck paired with the duck fried rice is always a satisfying choice!
Had low expectations, but turned out to be the best restaurant in Foxwoods. Kimchi rice was excellent.
Service and food excellent. Waiter, Man (badge 21087) was extremely helpful throughout the meal. Could not have asked for a more attentive Waiter.
Food was so bad my wife sent it back. This is a fast food Chinese restaurant pretending to be more upscale
We stayed at Foxwoods on our way to a family gathering in S. Jersey. I have eaten here many times and have always found it marvelous. This visit was no different. My wife and I shared the Imperial Peking Duck and an order of Duck Fried Rice. Both were well prepared, presented and delicious. The duck was crispy outside, boned, and the meat was moist and savory. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
Our server (Raymond) was spectacular and the food had such depth of flavor, as well as generous portion sizes. Great experience...we will certainly return.
Best Chinese in the state of Connecticut! Love the HK fried noodles and Sweet & Sour Pork!
Great place for a special birthday lunch. Nice decor, excellent service from attentive staff. Food was tasty and well presented. Looking forward to dining here again.
Our family have been eating at Golden Dragon countless times and it has never been a disappointment. They have authentic Chinese food, which is totally different from the American-Chinese take out. We love the saute lobster, which is a must item each time we were there. Stick with the Chinese dishes on the menu, not fake pad thai or etc, it is a place worth coming back again and again.
