They are not open. Under renovation or something. We showed up for reservation, got an unwelcome surprise

We made the reservations weeks in advance. I was asked to confirm the reservation the day before, which I did. We show up and the restaurant is closed. Message said it was closed for repairs, and apparently had been for some time. They didn't bother to inform people with reservations that it had to shut down due to some electrical work. I guess they couldn't be bothered to cancel reservations and save people a trip. For us it was a 3 hour drive and then we're stuck trying to find a place without a reservation on a Friday night. Not customer focused.

The omakasa deluxe was very good quality. Really good, but it’s not a full meal by itself even though it’s $95. We left still hungry and didn’t feel like ordering more food due to the price. I also think the server forgot our miso soup but that wouldn’t have made much difference. The place and servers were nice and I’d still recommend people to try it, just keep in your expectations that it’s expensive.

Great omakase for reasonable prices. Parking is a bit of an issue. Service was impeccable and our waiter educated us on all the different fish and the order you should be eating them in (milder flavors to stronger flavors).

Great restaurant near the airport. Food was spectacularly fresh. Would not hesitate to return. Next time I would ask that all the food arrive at the same time, rather than in courses. We were sharing all the courses. Only one server for the dining room so service was adequate but sparse. Can't go wrong here. Thank you

Gintei a hidden jewel in San Bruno. If you like sushi I would recommend this restaurant. The fish is flown in from Japan daily. They have an array of fresh fish on their menu. We tried the Omakase a selection made by the chef. They have sake and beer available. A little pricy, but well worth it.

Fine. Not great. Omakase had mid tier cuts. Was my birthday and they did nothing special for it. No idea how it got mentioned in the Michelin guide. Maybe my expectations were too high. Better to go to a place one tier up. I have previously liked Juni, Hamano, and Friends Only.

It was easy to overlook this address in San Bruno. If you do, it is so worth a trip around the block! This was a wonderful sushi experience in San Bruno and and we look forward to returning.
