Amazing energy for sunday morning brunch
Amazing! We had the synday brynch gospel there and it was incredible! The place, the food and of course the gospel part with amazing young singers who had the purest voices I've never heard
Our waitperson was friendly, courteous, and helpful, and our dinner was delicious. This is obviously a club for musical acts, because sightlines are poor for anything else (we saw tap dancer Michela Marino Lerman with her band, and could only see her footwork because we were right in front of the performing area). I would go back.
Incredibly delicious soul food and an awe-inspiring performance for Sunday Gospel Brunch
Family members from out of town were simply knocked out out by the Sing Harlem choir. The food was terrific.
The jerk chicken and the mac & cheese were fantastic! Really enjoyed the chill, layed back vibe of this place. Definitely trying out the after hours lounge next time.
This was my first visit here and it was amazing! My husband and our friends enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Hot honey yardbird, crab cakes, jerk chicken and signature drink all on point! Special thanks to our server Ty who made us feel right at home. They should also bring the band back Cedrick Duet...AWESOME!
Amazing food! Amazing drink! Phenomenal music!
I was there for Sunday gospel brunch. Great food, great crowd, great entertainment.
Simply fantastic. Food was phenomenal and the Sing Harlem Choir was unbelievable. One of the best meals and experiences I've ever had. Can't wait to go back.
It was the best dining experience I’ve ever had in NYC, mostly because of the exhilarating young gospel choir. The food was great too.
I frequent Red Rooster often and wanted to gibberish Ginny’s a try. The music was out of this world!!! Marsalis and a jazz band group. Then they mingled with the patrons, chatting and having a great time. It may be the menu but the food is not as special as it has been. The crab cakes were good; scallops okay, the jerk chicken good and of course the fried chicken is the best..that and the cornbread. Which is my all time favorite. I far prefer the butters they serve in the fall and spring with the to tomato relish and honey butter. The service was exceptionally slow except the drinks. Had to find another waitress to get our check.
The atmosphere was amazing. The show was great and many people in the audience even came to tears. A great way to start your Sunday.
The food was incredible but the Gospel music puts you on your feet and brings joy to your heart. Amazing experience
Pedrito Martinez Group made an amazing show and soon after the beginning most of the guests participated in clapping, singing along or even dancing. It was a fantastic atmosphere! The food was also delicious and the staff was friendly. Perhaps, they could serve the drinks a bit faster as sometimes it took quite a while to get a simple beer (from a bottle).
Pedrito Martínez and his group were fabulous. So was the food, although it is a bit on the expensive side. Overall, I had a good experience.
I went there not for the food but for the gospel music. It was a tourist performance, with gospel and non-gospel music (the hit New York, New York is not a gospel song...) and with a lot of non-relevant talking. On top of that the music was played very very loud. The food was OK.
We were very excited to visit Ginny’s - but very disappointed that there is no option to book for children at children’s prices. As a result, we paid full price for 5 adults, even though it was myself and my husband and our 3 children that attended. On asking for the refund of the difference, Ginny’s manager informed me that they could not refund because “the tickets were bought online through Open Table”. We were thoroughly disappointed with this - and the fact that the singing was only about a half an hour long - 4 or 5 songs only! The Harlem Choir were brilliant - we could have listened to them sing all day - so the two stars are for them - not for Ginny’s.
Fabulous! We enjoyed the whole experience — lovely & interesting setting, excellent food & service & just the best show! WE enjoyed‼️
Amazing! Must go! Energy booster!
Overpriced, very poor options for food.. when asked for salt took 10 mins to bring
Everything was perfect, the food, the music and the service.
Really wanted to love this but ended up paying $300 for two people! They charge you $20 per person for entering (which isn’t mentioned anywhere) and the food is ok but not good enough to be charging $30 for an entree. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend as it’s overpriced.
Everything was perfect 👍😊 nice music, food and the other geusts , We love it, thZnk you!
A very enjoyable experience. Excellent food, friendly service, and a marvelous gospel choir. Highly recommended.
Fabulous Hidden Gem under Red Rooster. Great food and Jono consistently books top acts.
The performer- Pedrito Martinez was excellent. I would return again just to hear him. There has recently been a change in the menu which was a huge disappointment. The appetizers have been reduced. The entrees have been reduced. There is no longer any beef entree, goat but no beef! The jerk chicken had flavor, but no spice. This was supposed to have been a special night and it was, due to the high quality of the entertainment. Next time I’ll eat at home.
Had an amazing time, my Mac and cheese was little cold, I mention it to the waiter and within seconds the manager came to our table to apologize! Great service and the music was amazing. After the jazz performance we when upstairs and end up the night dancing House music. Love it!
The music was outstanding and the tap dancer blew us away. We had a great time. The food was very good too. Thanks Ginny’s!
Went to the Sunday Gospel brunch. Music was sensational- joyous, excellent and entertaining. Food was well below this. Didn't expect Red Rooster but this was not value for money. $55US for some very ordinary food. Not much soul about it. Still enjoyed the experience because of the show. If the standard of the food lifted, this would be a sensational experience.
Birthday celebration. The music was amazing. One of the best jazz groups we’ve seen.
The food was a bit short. We didn’t have time for a second round to get any dessert
THIS IS A BUFFET- they do not tell you this
Great night out with a wonderful performance and very tasty food! Only negative is that the volume was just a bit too loud for comfort at our table (2tables away from the stage), almost made us want to cover our ears for fear of hearing damage. Do not remember having the same experience last time we went.
Great Music, nice brunch, we will definitely come back next time
The cover charge needs to be communicated better. The process of ordering everything up front because when the set ends you have to leave - should also be explained better. Great place though.
This was a very important night for My Wife short...Uptown at Ginny's you can get Class, Sophistication, Beautiful captivating music as well as the SWAG that keeps Harlem on my Mind....Thank You Ginny's
Although we were amongst the first 10 people to arrive, we were seated outside of the main room. We felt left out of the celebration . No one offered us to move and once the show started, even at 30 minutes before the end of the brunch.
The food was ok, but soul food would be more exotic. The service and show were excellent.
I loved the entire experience from the Ginny's staff to the food and the gospel! Cannot wait to come back.
Excelent the Gospel choir. Maybe the food need something different for people of other countries who are not used to eat those things in the morning. But everything was great!
