I love, love, love this venue! The ambiance is terrific. Your chef prepares inventive, delicious flavors and a feast for the eyes. Your servers are pleasant and attentive.
Fathers's Day brunch was alittle pricey. I would have liked a la carte options on the menu.
I would value the $80 per person brunch food at $20 dollars. The breakfast potatoes were not even warm and obviously prepared hours before. The waiter ignored my request to take my order by leaving our table abruptly. The waiter forgot my request for a lemon with my water and asked if I wanted pepper in my sweet melon soup????? Our table seating positioned directly against the outdoor rail was unsafe and dangerous due the unexpected sheer vertical drop below. The design and placement of this railing is against building code and should be corrected immediately. Almost lost my camera to the drop below when I placed it underneath our table. The overall service was under-par for the price paid. There was no incentive to return again.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Everybody couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back.
Geoffrey's is my wife and mine anniversary spot. Since we live 60+ miles away, it is an adventure to go to dinner. We love the view, food and service. I recommend it to all of our friends.
The service up until we finished our meal was great
The food was fabulous and our waiter Tim was awesome! This is a great restaurant whether you want a beautiful romantic view of the ocean or simply want to enjoy a great meal with superb service.
Beautiful site, wonderful food, very attentive service... expensive.
I registered for a birthday celebration for my wife a few days in advance. I noted the event and everyone said happy birthday to my wife and when our dinner was over they had a surprise desert for her that was very nice. We sat outside with a heater on both sides of us and we were very warm. View was great right on the edge of the eating area.
On vacation. Wanted to enjoy the view and the fabulous food.
The salmon was Over cooked… And both my friend and I ordered it! Other than that, I would go back and try something else next time. The ambience is fabulous!
We enjoyed the food and service, we had the mussels, the corn chowder, the mushroom soup and bread pudding. Lovely evening.
beautiful view of the ocean. Flat iron steak slightly overcooked. potatoes were lukewarm. Seabass was just OK. would go again for the view but would order appetizers but not entrees. We went on a Monday for lunch. Main chef may not have been cooking that day.
I love this restaurant! The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious. My favorite entrée is the seared sea bass but everything else on the menu is great. The view is lovely too.
Celebrated my son's 17th birthday here and it was simply an amazing place! Great food and beautiful ambience! Can't wait to go back again!
Dining at Geoffrey's is like taking a vacation to Hawaii or even the South of France. Absolutely beautiful, matched view and setting, excellent food, and top line service. Always a treat.
I usually make a reservation at Geoffrey's for special occasions or as a treat for out of town guests. The outstanding view, the food quality, and the level of service are always phenomenal.
One of the greatest place in Malibu!! Love it!!
Great view and service. Enjoyed a mid morning Sat brunch of quiche Lorraine and steak with vegetables. First class food & service. Great table closest to ocean. Dolphins at play, blue skies & 70 degrees. Doesn’t get much better.
Amazing food and service. Spectacular views.
The views were stunning, service impeccable and ambiance with the fires, water feature and lights were lovely. The food was good, however over priced for the quality in my mind. I ordered the Kobe wagyu New York medium rare and it was quite tough and lacked the flavour I’ve come to expect from that selection. I should have ordered seafood as others seemed quite pleased with their dishes.
Great setting and relaxed atmosphere. But at these prices and level the food is old and boring.
The filet and NY steak was adequate and not worth the price. The fried oysters were interesting but dry even w the sauce. The mushroom soup was ok, not great.
So for $100 a person, it was a great setting, w wonderful service, and completely underwhelming food. Not really worth the price.
The views of the Pacific are topped by the excellent service and exquisite food. We started with the cheese plate and stuffed artichoke followed by the mussels and baked Brie. You can make a meal of the appetizers. Difficult to choose since all of them looked fabulous. We will define be back!
Beautiful views and delicious food!
This was out first time to Geoffrey's and we LOVED IT!!! It was my husbands birthday and I let them know ahead of time and as soon as we arrived everyone who greeted us wishes my husband happy Birthday which I thought was just lovely... We had the Waiter Hans who was clearly a Johnny Depp double, he was just amazing, my husband and I both agreed he had that perfect blend of Humble and Participating in our evening... We will Definitely be back for more for this wonderful place!
Wished all your uncovered patio area chairs weren’t stacked up on the tables. Made it look like y’all were partially closed and made pictures difficult. Everyone wants to document a beautiful restaurant on the ocean like this! Otherwise, it was a perfect experience! My husband’s name is Geoffrey. We will be back on our next trip to California for sure! Food was great and large portions at brunch. Very accommodating of our two young children and for that I am ever so grateful!
The ambiance and view of the ocean were incredibly inspiriting. The food was so good, we kept wiping the plates clean with bread. Couldn't get enough!! We are definitely going back for Fathers Day!!
You come here for cocktails, the cheesecake and the al fresco experience of such a lovely spot deep into Malibu.
We had a nice meal outside with a view and enjoyed the ambience
Waiter was exceptional! Birthday lunch.
Outstanding setting & ambiance right on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA., and service was great. Food was underwhelming. Brie & pear puff pastry appetizer was delicious, but entrees featuring an overcooked kobe beef burger, and soupy under seasoned paella were disappointing.
First the atmosphere!!
Send, the food, then the service.
Very attentive staff
Only reason I am not giving them five stars is because of the table we were given. It was my sister and myself and they sat us literally at the end of the restaurant in a corner which I didn't understand why we were given that seat when there were other open tables. That was the only thing that I disliked. The staff after that was remarkably efficient. Our waiter and the rest of the staff that helped us were one of the best that I have encountered at a restaurant. Our drinks and food were served quickly and everything tasted delicious. I had the seabass and the portion of the fish was quite large which was a good surprise since other restaurants usually give you a smaller portion. I could have easily shared it. Our waiter kept checking on us to see if we needed anything or to refill our water which was great. The restaurant is mostly opened so if you go and have late dinner I suggest you take a jacket if they sit you outside since it could get a bit chilly even with the many heaters that they provide.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience at Geoffrey's after all the hype regarding this place related to the views and the food. We made a reservation a month in advance of our trip. Upon arrival, we were given the 2nd worst table in the outside dining area, with extremely limited views. Overall, the food, wine, and ambiance was mediocre. I had 3 fine dining experiences during my vacation and Geoffrey's just did not deliver, the wine was OK, we had an artisan cheese plate- that was NOT artisan at all - just cheddar cheese blue cheese and provolone with balsamic vinegar- which does NOT go together - mussels were very good- my waiter talked me into ordering a $70 12 oz Waygu steak that was bland. All in all, for a $300 meal for two - I will not be returning.
Every year in May I invite my daughter and my sister to join me for a special lunch at Geoffreys to celebrate their birthday. This year I invited my sister-in-law to have lunch with us. Sometimes my granddaughter joins us if she’s available. We always look forward to the amazing food and service plus the wonderful views. It is a always a great experience.
Fantastic meal, wine, views, it was perfect.
Wonderful food and service. Can’t wait to go back.
