Wonderful food and attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. We had a fantastic evening and felt very well looked after.
loved it. great steak!! nice wine. friendly and knowledgeable waiting staff
Nice atmosphere, good food and good service. The set menu was great and good value for the money. Steak is excellent! I would recommend it!
Service was excellent as was the waiting staffs knowledge of the menu.
The food was amazing we had the steak selection sharing board, highly recommended.
Had a lovely meal here, but were surprised we had to ask for the full menu options, we had only been offered a small options menu. Also had to ask for the wine list. We had to ask a couple of times for our bill, it was a very slow process, to be fair the manager did apologies, they felt as they had others bring to eat and leave quickly that we would be happy to continue to sit and enjoy our evening, they acknowledged they had left us too long and apologized. We had a coeliac in our group and the serving staff were very good at helping identify what was GF and ensured that other members of staff were aware of this and even bought our GF bread which was very tasty. So all in all a very good experience except for the delay whilst trying to pay. I would go back and eat here again.
Our experience was amazing The staff were so welcoming and efficient but also made it clear that they wanted us to enjoy our meal and couldn’t have been more helpful when one of our party was a little delayed They were aware we needed to get to the theatre for a certain time and did everything they could to make sure we were served promptly
Wine recommendation was first glass with knowledgable staff
Did the two courses for £30 with a glass of wine.
Very good value if you want a quick bite at a good restaurant.
Everything was up to our high expectations, we had actually forgotten how good the Gaucho experience was. This was a fantastic reminder.
Fabulous evening, great food and drink and best service
As always ... amazing!! The sausage platter starter followed by steak. Perfect.
Excellent service and food! Nothing to say was a great experience overall!! A big thank you to the GM who really made the night stand out!
Great service and food. Would definitely return again.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Would recommended.
Overall good experience
One major problem on the night was there’s is no AIR CONDITIONING in venue not great.
Waiting staff were excellent.
The food was excellent but the wine was way too pricey and average priced wines were not very good at all. Service was very good.
It was our father in law 80 th birthday and we were 18 people including his sons and grandson. We came all the way from Panama for this great event at gaucho. The service was courteous and the food was what we expected. Great steaks and well served drinks.
Staff were very attentive, made the occasion feel special as we were out for our 15th wedding anniversary. Wine glass was kept topped up at a nice pace, never felt rushed. At the end as we were leaving our waiter came over and shook our hands and offered his congratulations again - wish I could remember his name (have such a bad memory) but him along with the maitre d were fantastic.
All Round Superb time here. Can't fault the staff , food , restaurant layout. Highly recommended.
Wrong music for the ambiance, Something more latin dance or theatre inspired rather than modern pop would have beenmuch better.
We booked a table at Gaucho Chancery for our Wedding Anniversary. The restaurant was easy to find, walking distance from Chancery Lane tube station. We were offered a choice of seats and opted for a table by the window. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived and though the tables started to become occupied it was still a great, relaxed atmosphere. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful, not inclined to hover but attentive to our needs. We choose to eat from the set menu which gave a smaller range of options but enough choices for us to ‘um’ and ‘aah’ over. We both chose the tuna starter and it was delicious. It arrived well presented and in a timely manner, accompanied with breads. For our mains we again chose the same item: chorizo sirloin, mine cooked ‘blue’, my husband’s ‘rare’. The steaks were tender, well prepared and absolutely fabulous. The side of fries and sauces complemented perfectly. For dessert we differed in our choice. My husband opted for the mixed berries, lime cream and raspberry meringue whereas I chose the dulce de leche panna cotta. Again the food was excellent. As a surprise, just before dessert was served, the staff brought a decorated plate with chocolate truffles as a wedding anniversary treat. Our entire experience at this restaurant, from start to finish, was very good and I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Went out with my partner for a date night and decided to use the TimeOut deal. We shared a tiro de ancho steak which was cooked to perfection, however we would have preferred it without the chimichurri sauce on top, which is delicious, but can be a bit overpowering.
Chips and asparagus were good and the 2018 Malbec was too, although a bit on the warmer side.
The deal didn’t include desserts, but we both got one. The ice cream was good but being only two scoops maybe a bit too little, however my coconut tres leches was amazing!
Overall we had a very pleasant night, which was made even better by the waiter and we will definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys a good steak.
As always, fabulous sumptuous food, steaks and accompaniments all delicious. Slight dip in marks pure due to broken air conditioning on the hottest day of the year!
This branch is visibly understaffed
Superleuk restaurant.
Lovely food and great service, but it's expensive. We were there too early (pre-threate) to comment on the ambience, but is was very quiet).
Viande toujours exquise. Je suis plus nuancé sur l’intérêt de proposer des spécialités japonaises (yellow tail, cure tuna) en entrée: c’est cher et pas au niveau de ce qui se fait chez les concurrents.
Not too keen on the darkness in the restaurant, but food and service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Staff made us feel like very welome and valued customers.
Average. Side dishes were boring and plain
Service was very personable and friendly. I honestly cannot wait to go back. Thanks to David for looking after us all.

This restaurant has a great location, the décor is fine, good ambiance and the staff were good. But I cant give the steaks more than 3 out of 5. That doesn't mean that they were not good, there are just better steaks available in London these days!
I took my fiance here for a birthday meal, i found a great deal on groupon. We had a 3 course meal, the steak was amazing and the service was great. The only downfall was the fact we had to sit in the not pretty area of the resturant and the room temperature was extremely hot which made it very uncomfortable to sit a full 3 course meal!
The steak is always spectacularly good here. Nice Argentinian wine as well
Excellent service and the food was sublime!
The food was soo lovely it was Monday afternoon so it was quiet. Service very good.
Have been to the Gaucho in the Northern section in Manchester previously and had certain expectations. Most were met but unfortunately there was a rather rowdy group in the restaurant which really did spoil the ambience. However that aside, the meal and the service was very good. I have never used a coupon in a restaurant of this standard but I would only say that the staff would have to keep in mind that even with a coupon I still spent a good amount of money for the privilege of eating at Gaucho. Overall both of us enjoyed the meal.
Lovely night with a surprise dinner for my wife’s bday. The staff couldn’t do more to make it a great experience for her. We had a lovely meal of the Gaucho Sampler and my wife was ecstatic. Thanks
Amazing food and an excellent venue for catching up with my work colleagues.
Good food and excellent service, although a bit pricey. Surroundings are great.
I fell foul of the classic "don't order fish in a steak restaurant". The fish was oily, with some sort of puree and a clump of fried onion. A beige plate with no vegetables or anything to cut through the copious amount of oil on the plate. I was not alerted to the requirement to order sides with the fish (as in most restaurants this comes with sides). They did, however, give me my dessert on the house so kudos to the management.
Awful service. 3 of us went for an occasion. 20 minutes sat at the table before we were actually asked for a drink.
Wasn’t shown the steak board.
Desert menu was given to us about 25 minutes after the mains were finished/taken away.
Wasn’t even asked by a waiter if we wanted desert. It’s a good job we waved somebody down to get the bill half an hour later, as I’m confident they forgot we were there.
Awful - wouldn’t return.
