Friends Sushi on Rush
Tables were very tight. Very small place. Good food and drinks.
Great server. The spicy miso soup was fantastic. All the rolls were very tasty.
My dad and I went for a sushi dinner and were looking for a great place to get sushi and had some amazing sushi! Highly recommend this place!
Very nice evening and dinner. Service was top notch and we were very well attended to. My only complaint and this is minor is that the tables are very close together which makes moving around somewhat difficult. The food is very good.
Very nice restaurant. It’s a been crowded in there (tables close together) but we didn’t mind too much
Good sushi menu, not the best service this time.
Miso soup was a little too salty. Sushi was delicious.
Great food, great service. The seats are very tight so if you don’t like close neighbors, this isn’t your place.
It was good, their spicy miso soup is really delicious. Some of the sushi ordered could have been better
Don’t fine before 6 pm. Lights are very bright and the music is nightclub boom music that is horrendous for enjoying a nice meal. Food was good but nothing fantastic. Prices are a little high. The lights were dimmed at 6 pm which was very much appreciated but the music remained loud and disruptive.
Sushi was fantastic and came out fast. The environment is very cozy and inviting
Friends Sushi is a small neighborhood sushi restaurant with a significant though not extensive menu. I had the Friends Maki roll and my guest had chicken terriaki bento box. We both enjoyed our selections. The white on white interior ambiance and tightly spaced seating makes you feel like you are almost eating in a communal space. We went in early afternoon and there were few customers. So we were not crowded.
Sushis are really weaks. And expensive. Miso soup is way to big but still good
The sushi was amazing! I’m so glad I found this place and will definitely return whenever I’m in Chicago.
Good choice. Fresh interesting sushi choices and a few Japanese beers. Intimate indoor seating or outside. Would eat here again.
Lo recomiendo por la calidad de la comids. Quizá demasiado ruido y poca luz pero creo que fue ese día debido a las personas de las mesas cercanas.
Really good Sushi and terrific service but the place needs a good cleaning and general sprucing up.
Great food, interesting decor.
Very good creative sushi. Bit expensive but portions are generous and the fish was top quality and freshness. Like in so many restaurants in the US, service felt a little pushy, hasted. But otherwise fine.
What a delicious sushi option! I totally recommend it if you're looking for a nice sushi place right off Michigan Ave.
Very good value however, not good presentation. Much of the fish in the sushi was warm so concerned about freshness. Loud music and I hint of not being very clean.
Very beautiful restaurant the wife and I will definitely go back. Food was outstanding and the price is great especially for downtown Chicago.
We found this on Instagram, and we’re so pleased with the experience! Their speciality rolls are top notch and so fresh!
Great Sushi! It took a little bit to get served. I'm really glad I reserved through OpenTable though. I got a reservation for 15 min from the time I reserved. It was just the right amount of time to walk there from the hotel.
My wife truly enjoyed her sushi dish.
Only negative...it’s a very cramped place
A very chill atmosphere, excellent sushi very fresh. Would recommend this casual experience.
Good time and good food
Cute place. Very small. Hipster crowd. No complaints about the Sushi. The smoked salmon sashimi was generously cut and buttery. The nagiri was good too. The appetizer (a warm pork and shrimp roll) was new to me and very nice. The Miso soup was excellent.
Nothing was life changing, but everything was well done and a good value.
Maki was absolutely incredible.
Wanted to like this place but at the end of the day it wasn’t worth the money. Someone recommended it but we definitely have different taste buds. Only one of the 3 rolls we ordered was decent. Chairs are definitely too big for the space. Service was good and liked the touch of orange and cucumber in the water. Sorry but I wouldn’t go back.
The absolute best sushi I’ve had in 2019. Excellent ambiance, service, music, and cocktails. My new favorite sushi restaurant in Chicago.
I already have! The Miso Soup, seaweed salad and octopus and mackerel sashimis were delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The service was pleasant and quick.
Great place definitely, recommend it. Nice atmosphere, great food, decent service and good location! Prices are reasonable, over all thumbs up for this sushi place its was my second visit and would definitely consider coming there again.
Sushi rolls were quite good but the tempura was not a light batter but more of a deep fried breading. Alos would be nice to be given plates to eat from even though the server said it was his job to clean up the mess on the table.
This restaurant is perfect for people that likes sushi.the ambiance is nice and the food is delocious
First visit to this small, quaint place, but for lack of size, they make up in wonderful food and excellent professional service. They had nice vegan and vegetarian options as well. I will definitely go back.
Service was really great even though it was very busy. Very very accommodating to special request and substitutions. New favorite spot.
Was a great experience! The food was fantastic!
Perfect spot to have a light meal while out and about. Our food came out quickly, and staff was courteous. Lychee martini was great for an afternoon sip!
