Reliable lunch spot with a good menu.
Very enjoyable! Great food, terrific service. Doesn’t get much better than this. Nice to dine someplace where you are made to feel welcomed and your business is appreciated. Nice job Fred’s. 👍
Michael our server was excellent. I loved him the moment he introduced himself to the table. Food was amazing and the service excellent.
Excellent experience and thank you to host Wali for coming to
us a few times to check on how we were doing.
Excellent service and ambiance. Friendly hostess and nice food presentation. However, the food was very average and overpriced even for Beverly Hills.
Great ambiance at the top of Barney's. Was very impressed with attentive service and excellent food. Definitely a bit pricey, and they do cater to their locals (as most restaurants do). We will be back again soon!
The best spot in Beverly Hills for sure and maybe in LA. Patio is so delightful when the weather is nice. Good food, service as always. Thank you
We got snacks, drinks, and dessert. Great service! Very nice space. Decent food, but prices are a bit high.
Our server was ANAXING.
For $29, you would think the chicken on a chicken salad could be more than just a little garnish. That was a lot of money for a bowl of butter lettuce.
Fred’s is amazing! The service, the food - all top notch
We eat at Fred's pretty frequently, its a great place to have brunch at weekends. My fiance and I had lunch with friends there on Saturday 5/11.
The service was awful.
We waited forever for the waiter to take our order, several tables that were seated after us were already eating before our order was eventually taken. When the food was delivered to the table the order was wrong and I was missing the salad I had ordered. We then had to wait for them to prepare the missing salad.
After we finished eating and the table was cleared the waiter try to make amends by offering us dessert. We had spent so much time in the restaurant at this point that none us wanted to hang around. The offer of dessert was a little too late to save a dire dining experience.
They delivered the check and it then felt like we were being hounded to pay, one after another they tried taking the check back before we even got our credit cards out.
Overall the experience was pretty awful, the endless wait to order food, the wrong food being delivered and then hounding us to pay the check.
Sad, but I doubt we'll be back. It's gone from being a favorite place for brunch to a place we will avoid going to.
Sat in a booth and ordered a glass of rose. Yummy Guacamole to start and pasta for main dish.
The view is terrific. The food was very good and so was the service. The dining room was austere with only three tables in use and the others were not even set. Perhaps it was near closing???? No excuse however.
One thing that concerns me is our waiter was pushing high alcohol drinks.
For an upscale retail store restaurant, Fred’s is very good. Light, airy. Food is great. Service was good. Will go again...,
Salads came out missing components. Soup was luke warm, yet items in the soup were hot (probably microwaved). Smoked fish was tasteless. Bagels were heavy. All around, poor experience.
Outstanding service specially the manager, he checked every table over and over and made sure everything was perfect.
The ambience and food variety were terrific! Thanks also for the good service by Michael!
Grilled cheese for 19.00 and the bread was burned and there was little to no cheese...
We are big fans of Alex, Fabrize, Byron, Wali, Edwin, Tyrone, Michael and Ace, Jorge and Antonio!!
Wally was very welcoming. We had a lunch reservation, seated promptly,Tyrone, our waiter was very personable and attentive. My only reservation was my husband ordered the lobster salad and it was warm.
the waiter was terrible, he had a horrible attitude....
Sitting on the terrace on a beautiful afternoon enjoying good company and brunch is close to heaven.
A balcony oasis atop of Barney’s. A gem. Lobster salad and burger were both superb. Lovely staff too.
I was so excited to go here. I requested a view, but got seated far from the window. The food was really good, but it took a very long time to get and our server lacked any enthusiasm. My friend's order got messed up. There was no apology for the mix up. It took a long time to get a replacement too. The lack of service made the experience a bad one. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone-- unless maybe you got a different server...or you were a regular here-- they seem to be treated better.
Salad had no taste
Service was very slow and difficult to find a waiter
After food was put down
We were not served bread until we asked after our salad
The food was delicious and the service was hands down some of the best service I have ever received in Los Angeles.
Beautiful venue with amazing views. Took my good friend to birthday lunch here and was very nice! Great food and they treated us well. We will definitely be coming back.
Nice atmosphere ; a little noisy on inside. Very good and friendly service. Food was fresh and delicious but a little overpriced for what it was.
I would recommend it for people who love views. The staff clearly favoured 'regulars' and treated them like old friends while the rest of us who go less frequently had to ask 2-3 times for attention. The price is too high for the food, but the glamorous feeling you get simply being at Barneys is worth something. Nice place overall. Worth a visit to see the L.A. skyline from there.
great ambiance and delicious food. the banana bread pudding was amazing.
It is a great place for a small business lunch, lunch with girlfriends or a quiet get away just for you. The waiters are not intrusive and you do not feel rush to order or leave. The ambience is wonderful and it is a fun place to people watch. It is also a whose who place. Plus, it is a great place to shop afterwards.
Would I recommend Fred's to a friend? That depends on whether the friend and companion wanted to have a conversation over a meal. The noise level in the dining room is deafening. The decibel level could do serious damage to one's hearing. It's criminal that the designer was allowed to use so many hard surfaces. The terrace is the only place to be.
Fred's has one of the best views around and the food is top quality. It's one of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills.
Salad wasn't what it used to be. tuna overcooked, dressing tasteless.
Food was ordinary and very pricey...$88 without tip for 2 salads (with mostly lettuce) a coffee and a cappuccino. Tried it when it first opened and thought the same thing. No third strike. Ambiance is 0, except outside.
To put my comments in perspective, we have eaten at most of the restaurants on the west side and I have not complained about price before.
Our server, Julie, however was attentive and gracious. Hope she gets paid well from the expensive meal.
Bring back Barney Greengrass! I live nearby, eat out a lot and would love to have a decent restaurant in this venue again.
Hostess rude. Early lunch reservation & sat us by the elevators. Customers entering after us were taken into the dining room. I asked for a different table. She said "we're very busy." I could see the empty tables from my booth. I said, "I know. I have a reservation." She walked away, spent time in the dining room, spent time talking to waiters before eventually returning & saying sullenly, "follow me." We sat in one of the empty tables in the dining room. Server slow to approach. Bread not offered. Forced to ask. Busboy miserable. Noise level unbearable as always.
