We have a broad menu catering for all tastes with a fixed price for lunch and pre-theatre (£17 for two courses, £21 for three) and an a la carte (between £30 and £45 for 3 courses), and an extensive wine list starting at £20 and getting pretty high.
We are licensed for weddings, and can close for private hire on certain days of the week. If there's anything that you'd like to know, simply email email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
All good as usual, always a pleasure eating here.
Lovely atmosphere and surroundings, nice and light too! Food excellent, very good choices for every taste. Wine selection reasonably priced too.
One of those menus where you could choose almost everything on offer. Well executed dishes. Wine list not stupidly priced. Very enjoyable. Will be returning.
Loved Frederick's. It's so homey and feels like a cherished neighborhood spot. I'd definitely recommend for office parties, intimate dinners, or family/friend get-togethers.
Fredericks is always an outstanding restaurant
Going to Frederick's is always special - we had our wedding lunch there 15 years ago! We went specifically because they were celebrating their 50th anniversary. Any restaurant that has survived 50 years must be doing something right. Frederick's do most things right. The ambiance, service and food are all excellent. It was a bit noisy, but that was just people having a good time on a Friday night out. Frederick's has to be THE stand-out restaurant in the area. Here's to the next 50 years!
Had the 50th Anniversary meal. Great food, great service and extraordinary value.
Set menu was good but with the fish (£2 supplement) it would have been generous for there to be a few potatoes - all there was was the fish and some broccoli. Wine was excellent and not overpriced.
As always fantastic food, great service, good sommelier and a great evening!!! We come back for sure.
A wonderful space to sit in surrounded by large, colourful and good art. White tablecloths, delicious food and excellent house wine.
I had the set menu. The portions were so small, they looked like children's portions. I literally had two flakes of salmon in my starter and a tiny piece I'd not very nice meet on my main. Not acceptable for this restaurant. It will affect their reputation.
I would not recommend the set menu at all
Very good food, drinks and a friendly and professional service, in very pleasant light and airy surroundings. Good modern European cooking, although the portions were somewhat small.
Excellent as always....have recommended to friends who agree.
We ate from the 50yr celebration menu which was good value.
Service was attentive without being over powering. The garden room has a lovely feel to it with plenty of rooms between tables.
There is a good reason this place has been going for so long.
This is my favourite restaurant. The food and service are always excellent and the ambience just perfect.
As usual Fredericks proved an excellent restaurant for meeting special friends. Very charming, flexible and and friendly service. A lovely space which is neither too formal or over casual and the menu has plenty of options that tempt. As we were an early booking it was quite quiet - but as the evening went on the noise level increased - but even so it was tolerable .
Fredricks is the best. Expensive but worth the money. The food and wine are always delicious, and the service is kind and solicitous without being overbearing or annoying. You can actually hear your conversation! Only good things to say!
We have been to Frederick's many times over the years and have always looked upon it as being a special place to eat, in fact we had our wedding reception there 2 years ago which was faultless. Unfortunately, we were disappointed when we visited last Thursday to celebrate our daughter's birthday.
The service was very poor, we had to ask the waitress to take our order for pre-dinner drinks and then remind her that we were still waiting, they then arrived at the same time as our bottle of wine and our starters.
The food was very mediocre, my daughter's monkfish was overcooked as was my husband's sea bass. I had tuna which was delicious.
Such a shame as we have always looked upon Frederick's as a reliable choice for lunch or dinner but based on our recent experience I'm not sure that we will want to risk a return visit.
Frederick's was especially vibrant and convivial on our last visit. The set lunch is exceptional value. The food is excellent, service efficient and friendly and a lovely room. It's a firm favourite and goes from strength to strength.
Fredericks is excellent on every level - welcome, service, food, ambience. I go to Fredericks to eat great food and feel well looked after. Amazingly they keep up the same high standards year after year. Happy 50th birthday and thank you!
Good food well presented, excellent service. Wine did not disappoint
A lovely restaurant, great food (the 50th birthday menu), great atmosphere and spot on service.
Excellent food and service, one of my favourite restaurants !!
Very good 50th anniversary menu. Would go there again. Very good at handling dietary (gluten free) requirements
This is the second time we have ordered the prix fixe before the 7.30 curtain at Sadler's Wells. We very much enjoyed our first visit and thus looked forward to this meal. Although good, the second time was not at all up to the standard of the first. We ordered the fish pie and my wife and I both lamented the small amount of fish or indeed anything else except potato. We know from experience Frederick's can do better!
We like Fredericks and go fairly frequently.
These comments must be seen in that context and not distract from the general 'good' opinion.
Pudding (apple crumble) was very small, two mouthfuls.
Gin and tonic at £12 is expensive
Very good meal, only down side was I went for the 50th birthday menu which should came with 3 glasses of wine and at each course I had to keep asking for the wine rather than being offered or brought to the table before the next course.
It was like I was back in 2000
Lovely food, in a great setting. Staff very helpful.
My 50th Birthday meal and Frederick's (also celebrating its half century) was the perfect place: classy yet not stuffy. Great food: the £50 menu was lovely and the portion sizes great for lunch. Really appreciate the kack pf music too. Thank you for making my day special. With my 3 favourite women.
A real find, friendly welcoming staff, and excellent food. The £50 menu deal was very good value, would definitely recommend.
We will definitely be coming here again.
A good restaurant that knows what its customers want. The food was excellent and the service very good with knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.
As always, stylish and relaxed, personal service and delicious food.
Pleasantly warm welcome and good ambience although the restaurant noise level was excessive at times during our meal. We had the set lunch which provided a good range of options and tasted quite delicious although the fish pie seemed to contain more prawns than fish. We will return.
Have been coming here for business dinners for quite a few years now as its out of the city but has a nice relaxed ambience but not too informal. Food and wine as good as ever. Had the pan fried scallops to start followed by the seabass - both dishes were well presented and very tasty. It was appropriate that it was their 50th year as were there to celebrate a retirement for a business friend. Will definitely be back.
One of the best meals we have ever had in London. We could not fault the restaurant where we had the menu fixe lunch. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food, wine, service and ambience. Will definitely revisit soon!
Have been to Fredericks often for their early evening menu. Well presented, wholesome food at a good price. Waiting and front of house staff service always impeccable.
Once again Fredericks shows why it's lasted so long. Consistently good quality food, and you can choose the fixed price menu or splash out a bit more on a la carte. Also love that it is spacious and not noisy. Hardly any restaurants these days are suitable for a chat over food - often sounding more like clubs! And finally, a very reasonably priced wine list.
