The food is usually excellent. On the night we had dinner though, it was tasteless. Beautifully prepared but without any seasoning at all. I hope it was simply an off night.

Yes, but would let them know that the noise level was very loud, could not have a conversation across the the table, only with the person right next to you. Also some of thre portions were small compaired to the price.

We've eaten there several times. In the past it has been a terrific place for pizza. The past couple times have been different. The food wasn't very good. Service was fine. Very noisy. Lousy table even though I made a reservation. Probably won't eat there again.

Nice menu at a fair price. Since the noise level has improved, its a good local spot.

What a find! Our first time, and we knew literally nothing about it. It is pretty cool bistro with a nice atmosphere, in a little bit of an usual location...a strip mall, but a nicer one at that. Highly recommend and will definitely go back

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at 5. Our server, Randi, was delightful, and she guided us to some wonderful items. We will be back to try the pizza!

Five is a great local restaurant that is outside the downtown Edmonds core. The food is excellent, and the service is attentive and helpful. However, if you're looking for a quiet Saturday night experience, this is not your best bet -- on a busy night, Five is extremely loud, and it can be very hard to have a conversation over the dinner table. Parking can also be a challenge -- the lot in front of the restaurant is almost always full, although there is another lot behind the restaurant (next to the Shell station) that many people are unaware of.

We came accidentally came on homecoming night. 35 high school kids surrounded our table for the last 20 minutes. We skipped desert as a result. Outside of the scheduling mistake on our part, it was amazing. Excellent sauces, well prepared. All around great meal. We’ll be back again.

Fantastic food, service was very good. It was rather noisy and parking is a nightmare. It’s located in a little suburban mall but there is a lot of proprietary, or exclusive parking and everyone else wants to threaten to tell you even though the businesses are closed. They need to fix that, by working out a deal with some adjacent businesses.

Loved this dining experience. I had heard great things and was so happy to celebrate my friend’s and my shared birthday here. Our waitperson was so upbeat and so kind. My lunch partner’s lavender cocktail was just delicious. And my Bloody Mary was just right. I ordered the seafood salad which was lovely. The mussels, clams and grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly - so succulent and sweet. The light vinaigrette was barely there which was just right for the dish. My friend ordered the Madam Croque of which I had a nice size bite. The ham was so yummy as was the béchamel sauce - a great choice. Because it was our birthday, we shared a warm chocolate chip cookie served in an individual cast iron pan with wonderfully creamy vanilla ice cream. Man oh man was that the perfect ending.

The food was non impressive ! While the Chicken piccata was good the mash potatoes were lumpy and without flavor. I was surprised at the charge for a very small portion of bread . Not worth the price, thumbs down ☹️

It was a busy Saturday evening, fortunately we had a table for four in the back, against the wall, so we could hear each other. The service was perfect, and as always food great! We feel so fortunate to have the five as a wonderful dining option.

Has long been one of our favorite places. Something was "off" this visit. Waiter was unfriendly. I noted that my pizza was missing a key ingredient and presentation was different (this is something I order almost every time I go in, I know how it is supposed to be). The waiter argued with me! He was quite rude and I was very surprised. We have never had a bad experience there before. Besides the pizza, the caeser salad was also not quite the same as it usually is. When I asked if "something had changed in the kitchen," I was rebuffed and told everything was the same as it always was. Although I hope this was just a rare "off" night, it has colored my impression of a restaurant that has been reliably so good for many many years.

We are frequent diners at FIVE and I would say 95% of the time we can expect excellent food. This past visit something must have been wrong in the kitchen - I typically alternate between two dishes so I know what they should taste like. This is the first time where I did not finish and did not want a to-go container. I hope this is an isolated case.

The seafood, lamb and pork chop looked amazing, unfortunately I ordered the carne asada. It was just ok, and the side of roasted potatoes were slightly under cooked.

The caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes was outstanding.

I've been here many times but haven't been recently. The restaurant seemed oddly empty for a Friday night.
I ordered the carne skirt steak, wasn't impressed. Under seasoned and tough. The rest of the party had pasta and pizza, they enjoyed it very much. Service was slow and inattentive but our waiter was friendly. My brothers ice tea was empty most of his meal until the end.

Love the outdoor patio for alfresco dining. Service was very good. Biggest disappointment of the evening was the Caesar salad which two of us ordered as entrees. The dressing was bland -- to the point of tasting almost like straight mayonnaise. Caesar salads at FIVE used to be wonderfully garlicky with just the right levels of anchovy taste. We had to ask for a side of anchovies to liven up the salad which helped a bit, but still missed the garlic. Hummus was good. Carne Asada was good. I do recommend this restaurant for the ambiance, the service, and most menu items. I'll just skip the Caesar in the future.

Food was generally very good, though not exceptional. Everything was cooked properly, including all the seafood. Full bar, but more limited selection if wines by the glass, or bottle. Very good service. Nice ambience, but inside gets a little loud if the place is more than half full. Try to get a table on the patio if the weather is nice.

Started off pretty good - excellent cocktails (grey goose martini & lavender bee's knees) and bottle of @mark_ryan_winery syrah. Kids mac n cheese was delicious.  First course of tuna tartare was not for us: it was a stack of tuna, massive amounts of pickled cucumber and onion +  huge pieces of not quite ripe avocado. The pickled veg overpowered the entire dish. I ended up scraping it off.  Next was a salad with garbanzo beans, chopped salami and tarragon dressing. Delicious, but overdressed. For dinner we had pizza with Italian sausage and caramelized onions which had so much potential, bit was undercooked and doughy. Crisp on top but limp from the bottom. The pear, prosciutto and cheese ravioli was amazing - the star of the night.  The icing on the evening was having a server drop a used knife with cream sauce in the hood of my sweatshirt that was hanging on my chair (which got all over my jacket & brand new purse) and no one noticed until I moved my chair and felt it. We mentioned it to the bus boy and our server, and no one really cared. Our server, after I requested, brought us soda water for me to clean it and said in a joking way, to send them the dry cleaning bill if I couldn't get it out. Kind of put a 'meh' on the evening.
