Food was okay... it took 30 minutes to get our check though and they weren’t even busy. It’s almost like they wanted us to stay and spend more money because they walked by multiple times. Wouldn’t go back due to service and subpar food. Also ambiance was okay but definitely an older place
This is one of the of the nicest Italian places in our area. We discovered it after returning from The Italy and Florence itself and wanted Italian food that was authentic....we found it here. Wonderful family owned place with excellent food without driving into Seattle.
Ok ambiance inside and on the terrace for a strip shopping area. Tasty salads, pizzas and pastas. We enjoyed the prawns in red pepper wine sauce, salmon with lemon and capers and bone in pork chop Marsala. Good wine list, but server forgot our son’s ice tea. When we asked he was a bit brusque telling us they were brewing it. Could’ve told us that up front I felt. This was our second visit and we’ll probably return.
This restaurant is a neighborhood gem! Excellent food, celebrated a birthday with the excellent chicken Gorgonzola. Always a treat!
Sorry, but this is not 5 star Italian. Yes, the place is dated and in a strip mall - that's OK. Sure service was poor because they were understaffed and only had one server - things happen, I get it. But for me the reason I won't be going back is simply the food. While nothing was horrible, everything was mediocre at best. We had the meatball appetizer, Caesar salad, Gnocchi, and Linguine with clams. Nothing good there. Even the bread, which seems like it was homemade (thumbs up) was not great. Having dined at some fantastic Italian restaurants in Seattle - Pink Door, Carmine's, Barolo... this place doesn't come close.
We were treated to sparkling wine to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Firenze. Food was excellent, wine good and atmosphere very pleasant.
Dinner was wonderful and staff treated you as family. Will definitely return.
Always a good meal. Thank you!
Great food and good atmosphere!
We selected Firenze Ristorante because I had seen a group of happy customers enjoying a bottle of red wine on the outdoor patio. For some reason, I got the impression they were regulars. I made reservations for the following evening, but we decided to sit indoors, because the weather was a bit too warm outside. We were instantly greeted by a friendly face and were seated near a window, where the tables were already packed with people dining and laughing. My meal included an excellent salad with a mouth-watering balsamic reduction, baked salmon with a brown sauce and capers, and red Montepulciano wine. Everything was tasty, and the service was spot on. The ambiance included works of Italian art, both serious and whimsical. Prices were reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber.
Great (authentic) Italian food in a quiet bistro -- the service was delightful, the value was real. We'll be going back soon ... and often.
Wonderful food, pleasant, quiet atmosphere. We sat outside, it was a lovely evening. Staff was pleasant and efficient!
The food was out of this world!! My daughter ordered the beef tortellini and all of us decided it was the most delicious. That being said, all of the food was hot and yummy and you could tell that the chef put heart and soul into the recipes. The staff were attentive, very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was so nice and always smiling. She knew the menu by heart and was easily able to help me with my dietary restrictions. Easily the best italian food I’ve had in a while. And that’s a big endorsement, coming from an Italian!!
Will eat there again, over and over.
The food was EXCELLENT!!! The wine list was much better than expected for a smaller restaurant. The only reason this is not a five is it’s in a strip mall next to a theater. The food was very similar to meals we have eaten in Sienna and Florence. Go for the food and wine, you won’t be disappointed!!
Excellent service and cuisine, as always!
Firenze's was a fabulous find! Their service, wine, dinners did not disappoint. We will definitely recommend Firenze's as a great Italian restaurant. We will be back for sure.
Great food, super service. Will definitely go again
Truly delicious spaghetti bolognese.
I keep hoping our meal and experience here will be like it used to be. Last two times experiences are telling us to not return. Have dined here for over 20 years. This time we made a reservation. Seated in the dark side room. Ditzy female waitress who brought my husbands appetizer bowl of soup snd pasta at the same time. Duh. My carbonara and his bolognese were basically slopped on the plate. I wish it was like it used to be. The owner needs to be there to oversee quality control.
Really good food, authentic Italian flavor. I totally recommend this place, one hidden jewel!
Our waitress was really nice and checked in on as just the right amount of times. Definitely a place I would recommend to a friend.
I am not really sure why this restaurant has 5 stars. Its over priced, my food did not taste like 5 star food. Also, when you just walk in, it smells like an old place and not like pasta cooking place that you want to eat. Every dish is so expensive.
Charming authentic Italian cuisine with a lovely pair of owners that greet you at the door
Loved our waitress. Very attentive and friendly to our party of 8.
Terrible service. Double charged. Average Italian food for high prices. No children’s menu. Owner is a tyrant.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate a momentous occasion of graduation with family of 15. When we asked for kids menus, there was nothing available so my 3 year old (can’t eat pasta) suffered without eating. The server was overwhelmed as soon as the food came out wrong (per her mistake). Instead of apologizing it turned into fiasco with her huffing around angrily.
A member of our table had a fly in her food, and instead of quickly making it right the owner said it was impossible and the fly was “not a member of the staff”. There was no offer to remake the food, and we were still charged. He later yelled at us saying it wasn’t his fault, and he shouldn’t be held responsible.
Finally when we asked to separate our checks, she said it was too hard so we were forced to separate our own checks. We were charged extra for small sides. We ended up being double-charged for several items with a terrible misleading explanation.
We are never going back again. Try Tropea—you’ll get treated well with to die for homemade pasta.
We absolutely love Firenze and the entire team that work to make such a wonderful experience. We highly recommended Firenze!
My favorite Italian restaurant in western Washington. Small, intimate, friendly, outstanding food - reminds me of Italy.
Delicious food to celebrate a birthday!
The food at Firenze is consistently superb. The bistecca with gorgonzola featured as a special now and then is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Service is consistently good as well. Waiter is there when you need him; otherwise not.
We love this place. The best hidden gem. Had our rehearsal dinner here! We love Salvatore!
The food, the staff and the environment are all spectacular. It's our favorite restaurant! We've been going there since the day it opened.
Not a large place, but worked well for our group of 12. Everyone was very happy with their food and wine. Service was generally good, though there were a few long delays between check-ins. We got there early so it wasn't crowded and we could talk easily.
We had the best food and service. We will be visiting again.
As always the food was amazing - off the charts and delicious. Our table shared some starters and pasta that were easily share. Our mains were also sizable and wonderful. The amatriciana is the best pasta dish ever!! My chicken contadina was spectacular if a little late in arrival to the table compared to mains my companions had ordered.
We had a delightful Italian wine with our meal and shared some deserts as well.
Would come back every day if my waistline would allow.
Over over priced, value for dollar not worth the price I wanted to make this place my go to, but the food portions were very small and cold bread. I was served a balsamic Vinegar that was pure water.
Don’t wast you money on over priced meal
A nice place isn’t enough
That’s how I feel I wish it was different so
As always, the food, the ambiance, and the service were great. As a multi year patron, I have always been a big fan of Firenze. Although I have to be honest: its seems like portion size continues to fall while prices rise (very small side salads, an extra charges for bread, $15/glass for house Chianti). I even saw them take oil and vinegar from one couple dining next to us (they were not using it) and place it directly on another table (who was getting bread). Really? You can't bring out another instead of make it appear you are keeping the inventory limited?
Call me old fashioned, but I still like to get value for my dollar. While they did offer us coupons for things like ladies night, and $10 off next visit, it seemed forced.
I sincerely hope Firenze isn't having trouble keeping their lights on. The food and service are generally great. But at some point, the amount of money spent needs to equal value. And my most recent $300 dinner for 4 people did not meet that value mark.
I hope this trend doesn't continue.
Let me preface this review by saying that this is my go to Italian restaurant in Bellevue. I have been a loyal customer for the last 10+ years and while the service has sometimes been hit or miss, the food has never failed me.
However, I had the most awful time on Valentines Day, 2019. I booked a 7:30pm reservation on Open Table and when I went the small lobby area of the restaurant was crammed with people, almost like a super crowded subway in New York. Me and my date had to wait there until almost 8:30pm. This is NOT what you want to happen on Valentines day, when you're trying to impress a girl. Needless to say, she was not happy. I wasn't happy either. My worst restaurant experience ever.
We made a reservation for 7pm but something must have gone wrong since there were more than a dozen other customers stacked up in the small waiting area that had reservations but no tables. They must have overbooked by mistake or not managed the online customers properly. 50 minutes later we got a table. Food was very good and took a while to relax but we enjoyed the meal. It was Valentine's Day so likely will be less hectic if we visit again. Owner was quite the character and did help lighten the mood.
Food was very good and service was attentive.
Great restaurant. Their food is top notch, service is fantastic...our server, who we've had several times, always arrives at the table at the right time. It's a tad on the pricey side for my budget...but very good food. Melt in your mouth filet mignon, was so, so tasty. I also had a delicious pasta dish with lamb and sausage... wow.
