Fire Works - Arlington
Waiter came back to our table one time. That’s it. And that’s only after we flagged him down. The other servers were flagged down by us to get drink refills. Either too many tables for each waiter or he was just terrible.
A mixed bag. Could have been better. The shrimp did not agree with one in our dining party. The bitter cocktail is in fact quite/too bitter. Good wings. Nice outdoor seating area.
Food was fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced. Hit the spot. Really enjoyed our dinner! We had greed salad, margherita pizza and fire works pizza. All fantastic.
Great craft beer list along with delicious pizza and salads
We were visiting D.C. and randomly chose Fireworks Pizza for lunch with several of our friends who live in the area....and what a great "random" choice this turned out to be! I cannot say enough about the wonderful customer service that we received from the manager, Jason, the lovely hostess (Laura, I think? Sorry, I cannot recall her name!) and our PHENOMENAL server, Toufik. While we enjoyed the food (mostly pizzas and salads), the service made our gathering of 16 friends a fun, relaxing and truly enjoyable experience. Toufik single handedly managed our drink and meal orders with the additional challenges of willingly accomodating our requests for separate checks, meal substitiutions, attention to food allergy needs for my son,etc...Toufik efficiently and cheerfully checked on us and refilled water glasses and drinks at appropriate intervals and delivered our hot, freshly prepared food in record time. We sincerely appreciate that we were seated at two large tables in a separate room so that "the guys" could mix, mingle and tell "war stories" at one table while the ladies and kids could enjoy their meal and conversations at the other (and all without disturbing patrons in the main dining area). As mentioned, we enjoyd the food. I can personally vouch for my husband's Black Sheep pizza and the wild salmon entree. The lamb sausage was a unique, tasty addition to the pizza and my wild salmon was cooked a perfect medium rare and seasoned to perfection. Toufik kindly allowed me to substitute sauteed spinach and mushrooms for the risotto which made this a truly delicious meal. My son loved his prosciutto pizza and everyone else gave "thumb's up" to their food choices. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Fireworks pizza for a casual meal with friends and family...and ask for Toufik!
This was our second trip to Fire Works, and the first for our friends. The food was great and the service was good. Our friends all commented on how much they liked it, too. There was an absolute monsoon that night, but they were still really busy—obviously it is a popular place no matter the weather. We had several different pizzas, and split some salads. I've had the mixed greens salad both times and really liked it. The charred crust and good variety of toppings make the pizza a stand-out. Highly recommend this restaurant. It's a little loud, but not overwhelming. Just lively and fun.
We love this place. The pizza is incredible and consistent as is the service.
Never know if the restaurant is just shorthanded that day or if it's the normal service, but I was seated outside & needed salt & pepper, no one to be found. I was about to phone the restaurant to ask for someone to bring it out when finally I was able to flag down a member of the staff.
Great brick oven pizzas. Although menu is somewhat limited, what they do have is very good. Very good beer selection both draft and bottled. Normally pretty loud but we were there on a pleasant Sunday evening so perfect for eating outside and it was much lower key than normal.
Yummy dinner once again. Great waiter this time round. Good with kids
Decent pizza, but excellent service and great ambiance/drinks. Great for a date night or hang out with friends. Maybe not if you’re looking for the greatest pizza in Arlington but had a great time none the less!
We sat outside on the shaded patio. Service was prompt and attentive. Extensive beer list!
I didn’t really like their pizza. You have to search for it, you can’t go to your common every day place, but there are plenty of decent pleat pizza places around Arlington and DC that are much better than this. The Caesar salad at the next table looked good so maybe there other food is decent.
The restaurant got back to its core offering: great pizza and service. The pizza was better and they finally brought back their original salads. Well done.
Great place. Would highly recommend. Hope to be back soon.
Best pizza. Great beer selection
Service too slow
We couldn’t use the outdoor seating although several tables were empty during our stay.
The overall food quality is disappointing
Great food in a nice ambiance. Try the beers and great Pizza’s. Enjoyed it very much
Salads were good. Solid service.
We ate outdoors. Showed up with one more than the number reserved......no problem. Requested outdoor seating. Granted. It was moderately breezy...comfortable under the prevailing conditions. Started off well, service was somewhat slow, but most everything was OKAY. I don't know exactly why, but our desserts were comped, the reason given was that service was slowed by the rush of patrons who arrived shortly after us. Enjoyable....give it a try.
Fireworks is the ideal place.to grab lunch before matinee movie @ AMC Courthouse! Their Lunch Special is a great deal, recommend paying the small up charge and choosing a 6" version of one of their Special Pizzas. I got the Bianco (goat cheese, yum) and our fun server recommended I add Chicken, which was perfect! Ask for them to dress your salad lightly (our Caesar tasted good, but was drowning in dressing) and definitely pair your pie with a draft beer!!!
Easy staple pizza place. Great options, good food, and affordable. An easy place to snag dinner and not have to wait
Yummm. Tasty pizza and duck egg rolls. Great beer selection
Not a happy camper. My husband had to get up from the table and while we were waiting for him to return my 5 year old needed to go potty. I found my waiter and told him that we were not leaving and that I had left things at the table (toys and our take home box) and would be right back after I took my daughter to the bathroom. I came back with
Her in a few minutes and my toys were there but they’d taken our carry out. I couldn’t find my waiter to ask what happened so we just left but I lost two half pizzas!
We have eaten here multiple times. The pizza was not up to par- not cooked enough. Usually they are quite good: maybe it was an off night.
Birthday dinner, first visit and we will definitely return
Went here for my mom's birthday dinner, and added in a special request when I made my reservation online for a surprise birthday dessert, which they honored without me asking them about it again on the night of. We had a great evening, didn't feel rushed or forgotten, the food was delicious, and Chris was a fantastic server. We'll be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Server Josie H. was fantastic - very attentive and friendly. Eating outside made the noise lower and more bearable.
Fireworks on the weekend is always busy. Our waiter was excellent. I feel the pricing is a bit ridiculous. This use to be a neighborhood gem and starting to feel pretentious.
Food and beer was delicious. Server was a bit inattentive.
Would go again
I was meeting with a business friend in Arlington so we chose this place based on the reviews and menu prices being pretty attractive. Being a foodie, I went with a high expectation on their pizza - compared to places such as Matchbox, their pizza was a-OK. My $9 lunch pizza special ended up being $11 with an add on, and size of the lunch pizza was tiny... Probably won't be returning to this place anytime soon. Very convenient dining spot for Courthouse area nonetheless.
Just returning from Italy, the pizza here was disappointing. Really not fair to compare, but they were voted best pizza in Arlington.
Phenomenal service. Jodie was fantastic!!!!
Huge selection of adult beverages, authentic wood fired pizza.
Great pizza and beer selection
Friendly service; excellent pizzas; good prices. Nothing not to like!
All was good until our server basically told us we needed to leave because they needed the table. Good food and service until that point. We had finished eating and decided against dessert and were talking, and he kept coming by asking if we needed anything else. I don't give a damn if you order or don't order coffee, dessert, etc., you NEVER, NEVER tell a party they are holding up a table. Pretty much ruined the whole experience. Probably won't return because of that.
