Lovely place, beautifully decorated with fish themed artwork. Really friendly & fun staff. Very professional and welcoming. Food was superb. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and delicious. Excellent value too. Sound level was perfect - cool choice of decent music on their playlist. Would happily return.

We had a wonderful time spent for my birthday. The staff spoiled me from start to finish. Izzy the waitress was super attentive to all our needs down to fine details. She was super switched on with knowledge of wine and the food. She was exceptionally courteous professional but with the added softness of familiarity in perfect balance

Lovely pub set in a lovely little kent village. It felt quite chilled the music was low but on point for us. We didnt feel overheard. We went for two courses. The fish main was stunning plaice, prawn and muscle. Lots of nice flavors. The dessert.. I consider myself a foodie I traveled to places to eat. london and europe inc san Sebastian i have eaten in some of the best restaurants 2 and 1 Michelin level this is the second best dessert I have ever tasted in my life. I had the Japanese honey toast with creme fraiche sorbet. My partner had desert envy the ultimate achievement, but hers was good too . I will be back it was worth the 50 mile drive just for that dessert...

Very enjoyable dinner! We ate early at 17:45, so restaurant was nicely empty - good news for my poorly hearing! Both had fillet steaks, which were excellent. Nice tender meat and cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines. My only criticism would be the less than ideal wine glasses! When you have a nice (and not cheap) glass of red wine, you want a standard deep, round shape to get your nose into, not the more stylised design used in the restaurant!

Yes. The other side by Outside where the chairs are under the windows, they are smoking and all the smoke kept coming through the windows so we could all smell it. All evening I could smell it. The food was good, staff wonderful. But please move the tables outside away from under the window!!!!
