Best Restaurants for Foodies in Austell

My husband and I dined at the bar early Saturday evening and had one of the best meals we’ve ever had. I say this as a former fine dining restaurant GM and sommelier in Boston. We started with oysters, which were both very fresh and shucked perfectly, followed by an almost impossibly tender grilled octopus, delicious seared redfish, and the whole-roasted lobster. Every dish was amazing and, what I think is most impressive, showed very talented culinary execution. To the chef and your team: be very proud. Our bartender was Mia, who was just stellar. Genuine, knowledgable, and efficient without being overbearing. Every detail was on point and turned our dinner into a really elevated and amazing experience. Although it’s a bit pricey (what isn’t these days) it’s worth every single penny (and then some).

Love Serena !!! Been going there since they first opened and it always delivers and NEVER disappoints !!! Service is Superb -- Food is Fabulous !!! Plenty of Favorite Dishes that are always a Step - Above !!! And must share, their Cocktail Menu is Incredibly Special and is always filled with New Creations and Fun Surprises !!! Took some church/work colleagues to celebrate the end of a work day and they both loved it and were still talking about it this morning --- now that's 5-STARS without hesitation !!! That was the first thing I heard about this morning and our server basically created one dish based on simply listening to my friend and what he enjoys .....and BAM!!! There was a fantastic creation that was not on the menu but totally tailored to his taste buds and it was complete enjoyment from the time the plate hit the table to it being "almost licked clean" -- tempting as it was !!!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at South City Kitchen on October 28, and I wanted to express how much this restaurant and its wonderful staff mean to us. Since moving to Atlanta in 2016, we've celebrated eight anniversaries at South City Kitchen. It has become one of our most cherished traditions, and this year was particularly meaningful. I was recently diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of blood cancer. The restaurant knew about my diagnosis and that, with treatment ahead, I wasn't sure when I would be able to return. With everything on my mind, I completely forgot to arrange my wife's traditional anniversary dessert featuring strawberries, which she absolutely loves. But somehow, even though we hadn't visited in six months, the staff remembered and made sure she received a special surprise. That simple act of thoughtfulness meant more to me than they could possibly know. Our server, Olivia, was absolutely fantastic! Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made an already special evening extraordinary. And the food? Quite simply, excellent as usual What makes South City Kitchen exceptional isn't just the outstanding food. It's the people, the relationships they build, and the way they make guests feel like family. This is what true hospitality should look like. As I begin my journey through cancer treatment and prepare for a possible bone marrow transplant, I don't know when I'll have the opportunity to return. But I can tell you this: I genuinely look forward to getting healthy and returning to South City Kitchen for another anniversary dinner. To Olivia, the management, the chefs, and the entire team: Thank you for giving my wife and me a beautiful memory during one of the most challenging times of our lives. You reminded us that sometimes the smallest gestures leave the biggest impressions.
